scars in real life: so I was trying to open macaroni sauce with a paring knife
#theres a big scar in the middle of my shin on my right leg because i tripped over a ceramic trash can#running around the house on cleaning day at the ripe age of four#and it just took out a whole chunk of my leg#it's great because it's pretty faded at this point in my life so you probably wouldn't notice it.#except that i have very awesome leg hair and there's just a big bald patch where the scar is 👍#funny as hell to me

#i read. or started reading and then dropped. a fic yesterday where. a statue of a hindu god that is important to the couple in the show.#was referred to. as a gargoyle statue. and i. holy shit man#like even in the most charitable reading of that.#you are ignoring the narrative importance of their hinduism and how it effects their choices throughout the season#in favor of the repetition throughout their narrative of the word gargoyle. which is it's own thematic and narrative element separately.#still culturally insensitive and disregarding important themes from the season in favor of your preferred secular symbolism#but like. it reads much more like you were just too lazy to reopen the episode where they mentioned what god the statue was#because you are fundamentally uninterested in anything spiritual not rooted in traditional western ideas#anyways. much worse example than anything above but it pissed me off a little. clicked out of there very quickly
