Kirishima sat on his bed, a troubled expression was etched on his face as the deafening sounds of his punching bag being abused resonated throughout his room.

“Dude.”

He didn’t hear. Or he just chose not to respond. Either way, he continued to punch the red head’s punching bag with such brutal force enough to make the chains rattle and the stand screech on the floor.

“Bakugou!”

The teen stopped and growled. His vermillion eyes darted towards his friend and narrowed due to his distraction. “What.” 

“You can’t stay and blow off steam in here forever. Honestly, what’s up with you?”

Bakugou stepped away from the equipment and rose his forearm to wipe at his sweat collecting above his brow. “(Y/N) won’t fucking listen to me, that’s what’s up.”

Immediately, Kirishima internally cringed at unconsciously bringing the topic of you up. You were quite a sensitive subject to talk about nowadays. So whenever Bakugou’s friends were talking to him, they’d have to make sure your name was not mentioned or else he’d go quiet and sulk.

Which was very out of character for him.

AHH COULD I REQUEST A FLUFF SCENARIO WHERE BAKUGOU ASKS OUT HIS CRUSH TO THE MOVIES? Like, she just got a random text of him asking her to see a movie and she's freaking out! Thank-you if you write this!!!

Bakugou has a close circle of ‘friends’. They are the ones he considers less irritating to be around and somewhat tolerable to a degree.

You happened to be one of them and yet at the same time, you weren’t. He treated you differently then he did with Kaminari, Sero, Mina, and hell, even Kirishima. 

However, this wasn’t supposed to be received in a bad sense. Bakugou just acted… odd with you. In a good type of way though! It was evident that he looked out for your best interests at heart and that he appeared to have more patience with you than he did with others.

You too also found great comfort with Bakugou. Asking him for help whenever it was necessary or just talking about the same interests you both shared. It ran both ways.

To be frank, your relationship with him was complicated. But you two were at a good spot, so there wasn’t any rush to put a label on your connections with Bakugou.

That was until his contact name lit up on your lock screen late one evening in the dorms, indicating that you received a text from him. Two text messages to be exact. 

And that’s when you went into a frenzy. No, not because he texted you. You two did that all the time. Instead, it was the context of the message.

It was at the moment when the chaotic spiral of emotions arose.

Spicy foods, phone calls that would last up until the early mornings, shared lunches, playful and teasing jokes, walking to and from school together. These were just a few things from the list of many that you used to enjoy. Used to.

But that all stopped.

“Katsuki, I said I was sorry, it was an accident-!”

The young teen abruptly spun around to face you, true annoyance spread across his features like wildfire. “Your ‘sorry’ isn’t going to fix the fact that I now can’t participate in any hero training until my grenades are fixed.” He says in a harsh tone.

What happened was that you attempted to help Bakugou move his grenades to a safer place so that no one would trip on them, contrary to him insisting that he didn’t need your help. You thought you could carry them, you really did. 

But you underestimated the weight of his gear. One thing led to another, which is why you both stand in his dorm room with only the space of his shattered grenades in between you.

“If you just stepped off like a told you to,” he hisses, pointing a blaming finger at your chest, “then none of this would’ve happened, (Y/N).”

Your chest ached with pain, this was the first real fight that you two had had since you officially started going out. But for it to be about something that was blown out of proportion truly astonished you. “I’m really sorry, Katsuki! I can get Hatsume to fix these as soon as-”

“That would take weeks, (Y/N),” Bakugou interjected your sentence again. He turns his back towards you and walks to his desk and sits. With his back still facing you, he leans over his desk and says, “I’m not the only student in this goddamn school who needs their costume fixed or improved. Just think for once, would you?”

You gently bite the inside of your cheek, you’ve never really been on the receiving end of Bakugou’s anger but boy, did it hurt. You felt the sting of tears in your eyes as you open your mouth to apologize again. It was like you were a broken record, constantly trying to be heard for your boyfriend just to listen to you.

Sighing, Katsuki’s gruff voice draws you away from your thoughts. “You can leave, before you try anything clumsy again.”

Your face contorts in pain as if you had slapped. That’s what his words felt like. If he really wanted you to leave, then so be it. At least you tried. “Okay…”
