Meet Mariko Hirose: The Ultimate Fencer - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Mariko Hirose is a self-proclaimed knight and professional fencer. Specialized in fighting with a sabre, she began competing at ten years old. She represented Japan in the Olympics at fifteen, earning a silver medal. This got her into the USO’s list, earning her the title of Ultimate Fencer.

Meet Akari Honda: The Nulltimate K-Pop Idol - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Akari Honda made her debut in Korean pop group “ONEYES” one year ago after she managed to place third on the survival show Create-95, and has been enjoying success ever since. Her skills in singing, dancing and rapping as well as her abundant charisma got her into the USO’s list, but she didn’t make the cut and became the Nulltimate K-Pop Idol.

Meet Hiroto Uemori: The Ultimate E-Sports Specialist - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Hiroto Uemori is a popular streamer who goes by the online handle “PJandHiroto”, named after his dearest friend, his plush penguin PJ. He’s won world championships for various games such as League of Giants, Fortknight, and Dance Dance Recreation. His wins and popularity got him into the USO’s list, earning him the title of Ultimate E-Sports Specialist

Maro Isayama is simply a prodigy in the field of oneirology. His papers have been published in science magazines and he’s considered one of the pillars for recent discoveries related to lucid dreaming.  Even though he’s only nineteen years old, he’s already working on various projects as a lead researcher. This got him into the USO’s list, but he didn’t make the cut and he because the Nulltimate Oneirologist.

Meet Akira Onaga: The Ultimate Ballerina - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Akira Onaga is a world renowned ballerina not because of her disability, but in spite of it. She picked up ballet at six years old and quickly began to show skill equal to her abled peers, earning solos regularly as a double leg amputee. She made the USO’s list and ultimately earned the title of Ultimate Ballerina.

Meet Rie Higashikokubaru: The Nulltimate Socialité - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Rie Higashikokubaru is the only daughter of the famous Higashikokubaru family, one of the richest in all of Japan. She started to appear in different events all around the world the moment she was born and once she was old enough she began organizing her own events. This is what got her into the USO’s list, but it wasn’t enough and she became the Nulltimate Socialité.

Tadashi Sekiguchi has been working part time as a waiter ever since he was thirteen years old. It is said that a high amount of customers will follow him as he changes workplaces because of his sweet personality and efficiency. This is what got him into the USO’s list and ultimately earned him the title of Ultimate Waiter.

Meet Jiro Sugano: The Nulltimate Sign Language Interpreter - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Jiro Sugano is a face that you might not know, but some people definitely do. He’s a famous sign language interpreter, collaborating with multiple TV networks to interpreter their content. Now, would you believe me if I said that he’s both deaf *and* mute? The USO was impressed by that and he made their list, but he ended up becoming the Nulltimate Sign Language Interpreter.

Honoka Nishimura wasn’t a known face until she made it into the USO’s list at the age of sixteen years old. She is now regarded as a very skilled medical student working towards an specialization in orthopedics. Her skills at such a young age earned her the title of Ultimate Surgeon.

Meet Hanazawa: The Nulltimate Interrogator - Who wants to be an Ultimate?

Hanazawa is a widely known interrogator currently working for the Tokyo MPD especializing in homicide cases. She began training at just age 12 and quickly rose the ranks to become one of the youngest interrogators in the whole of Japan. The USO took notice of her, but it wasn’t deemed enough, and Hanazawa became the Nulltimate Interrogator.

After months of hard work from our staff, the fourteen cast members of “Who wants to be an Ultimate?” have been selected. They have all actively participated in the creation of pre-show material, which will begin releasing tomorrow. We ask that you give all of them a warm welcome.

All fourteen cast members are currently getting ready for recording the show, so we kindly ask for your patience as everything is slowly finalized.

Our team has been overwhelmed with the amount of love that you have given to “Who wants to be an Ultimate?” over the last few months. The reception has been amazing and we are glad you are looking forward to the release of our upcoming reality TV show.

We would like to announce that “Who wants to be an Ultimate?” has received over 200 applications, including both Ultimates and Nulltimates. Our team is extremely proud of the achieved turnout and has decided to close the applications.

All applicants will go through an interview process to see whether they fit our vision for the show. Ultimates and Nulltimates will be evaluated separately. A total of seven applicants will be chosen for each, meaning that the show will have a total of fourteen contestants.

Who will make it to the final fourteen? We are as excited as you are to find out!

I’m sure you did! After all, the Ultimate Scouting Organization will set you up for life if you become one. It’s a dream come true!

Most of us can’t even dream of it. After all, being good is nowhere near enough. Even being the very best at what you do isn’t enough for some…

We always forget about them. How can we not, when Ultimates shine so brightly? And honestly, I think they deserve to have a bit of the spotlight too, don’t you think? After all, they’re extremely talented too.

Of course, I’m talking about Nulltimates.

Those people that make it into the USO’s yearly pre-selection list, but later get dropped. This process is public, mind you! How must Nulltimates feel after they receive their rejection letter? I can’t even begin to imagine…

They are still extremely talented, and even that title gives them a big boost to their careers, no matter what their field is, but it’s just not the same…

After all, you’re still a reject. You weren’t good enough.

But don’t worry! We’re here to help you fix that.

"Who wants to be an Ultimate?" is an upcoming reality TV show created by Monochrome Studios in collaboration with the Ultimate Scouting Organization in order to see how Nulltimates stack against Ultimates. It’s a battle of the greatest vs the great! 

But most importantly, to give Nulltimates a second chance. The winner of this show will get to become an Ultimate, a first in the history of the USO!

If you’re a Nulltimate, this is for you.
