More than once have I mentioned in serious discussion how Jean has a core like a tree trunk. Which makes sense because he's not built like a bodybuilder, he's built like someone who has to be functionally strong, core stability included.

Knowing Yams takes inspiration from UFC fighters for some combat scenes, I do not doubt that even the non-shifters are inspired by the physiques of mixed martial artists.

A few years ago I had a phase of being REALLY into digital privacy, using tor, duckduckgo, etc before suffering some burnout because I was trying to be 100% secure. So I'm by no means a expert I'm just relaying experience.

The culture of a lot of left leaning and "fandommy" sites (tumblr, twitter, etc) tends to fear/dislike (or just not know about) a lot of the IT stuff used by people into online privacy because they asscoiate it with "techbros". ESPECIALLY anything even remotely involving cryptocurrency. But if Trump is going to start censoring things and making morning after pills harder to get now might be a VERY good time for Americans to get into online privacy and how to avoid being tracked as well as avoiding censorship. Perhaps even some crypto to buy things discretly (or perhaps if ICE agents start caring about cash?) and because many activists groups also take donations in crypto. Never dealt with crypto myself but from what I know Monero was designed to be more untracable than Bitcoin. Don't know how succesfull that is though. Definetly get into privacy in general though.

I'll leave some useful links to get started. Words of advice:

Don't install a fuckton of privacy extensions on your browser, your unique combination of extensions will give your browser a unique fingerprint. Instead read up on and pick a few commonly used ones.

The BIGGEST annoyance for me was acedemic/proffesional settings because noone wants to switch over to some software they never heard off for one group project. Personally I use some normie software for exclusivly proffesional purposes with NO other information on me and do my actual browsing/leisure computer use more privatly.

https://www.torproject.org/: THE gold standard for privacy focused browsers. Also obscures ip. Might not always be practical. Has the disadvantage of being notoriously slow and is blocked by some services/websites to avoid people bypassing ip bans and whatnot. Probably don't use this as your everyday browser but if you ever need to look up anything without censorship use tor.

https://tails.net/: Install a portable mini operating system on a usb stick to browse privately from any computer.

https://www.eff.org/ Electronic frontier foundations website.

https://mastodon.social/explore Don't have experience with it myself. But open source social media that should be much harder to censor.

Kisses are fervent, yet sloppy, and the apologetic passion exuding from Reiner's chapped lips churns something deeply unpleasant in Jean's stomach.

This is what Jean gets for letting Reiner have permission.

At first, Jean had been rather open to the idea. Cut a man on a mission some slack — he's a soldier, damn it. A Scout! Tasked with exploring the outside world with intent of understanding more about their greatest enemy: Titans. He deserves, regardless of how fleeting, moments that would help remind him of the pleasures this world has — and has stolen from them.

A chance at a normal life. His real estate property. A shot at settling down once the war is over. Their fucking friend — so beloved, but so naive and now, absurdly powerful.

So, as stupid as it sounds, yes, Jean let this happen.

When Reiner found him in the forest, face cleared of blood from Jean's prior outburst, he had asked Jean what else he could do to make up for it, and Jean's steaming system had conjured the strangest idea yet.

It is an estranged affair between soldiers on either ends of a war. Adding salt to the wound, the forest is an unlikely setting for it.

Reiner sure as hell doesn't waste time. Must be all that waiting for the opportunity to strike… to destroy…

…to kill anyone that gets in the way…

Jean shoves Reiner back to their reality.

"Stop," Jean says, wiping his mouth as if it will cleanse him of this sin. "Let's stop."

Reiner's lips are a thin line. "I thought you wanted—"

"I know that, but can't a guy change his fuckin' mind? Fuck."

Muscles, joints and whatever fleshy gears are in there moved around Reiner's neck. Jean will not deny how sexy that looks, but—

He will admit how much he wants to wrap his hands around it and squeeze.

"Look." He wipes a hand on his face. "I'm fucked, Reiner. I really am."

Reiner seems as though he just choked his own words with his throat.

"You're probably thinking the same." Jean says. "Yeah, you're fucked, too, you're welcome for the validation."

Not knowing what else to do after subjecting himself to such an uncomfortable situation, Jean tilts his body away from Reiner.

"I just can't do this. Not like this, Reiner. Not when I see Marco—"

What is Jean even thinking?

Matter of fact, he isn't thinking. Not with his head, at least.

Pretending like they're still kids does not help at all.

One look in Reiner's way and Jean's blood is boiling at the sight of guilt eating up Reiner's tense frame.

How dare he, when his best friend is dead because of him?

How dare Jean question him, when he's engaging in the same game that gambles with their guilty consciences?

Making out with his best friend's confirmed killer like this, without holding himself accountable…

This is wrong.

"This is wrong," he tells Reiner — echoes it. "I am so fucked for even letting you touch me."
