At this point I think my interest in Chapter 5 is primarily for my AUs, since without Doey it just isn't going to be the same.

Although, realistically I'm probably just setting myself up for disappointment because my brain is rotating them even faster now with more specific "what-ifs" about their potential concept... The chance that my imaginary version of them comes true is very slim...

To clarify, I don't necessarily have a problem with fans portraying Kevin as red. Even though I do tend to associate it with him being mischaracterized as overly mean and aggressive unfortunately, I know that not every single red Kevin is like that, and orange Kevins are not immune to mischaracterization either. But even still, I just don't want that color assignment to become objectively canon. I want to be able to still have my interpretation and not be invalidated by official material.

I don't WANNA quit the fandom, because Doey is really the only thing keeping me sane and not depressed/wanting to die and I know I'm upset over something that's really not that serious but I just got way too attached to my headcanon, man... Especially since I was a day 1 believer.

And I kinda tend to hold canon in high regard so I would feel pressured to throw away my personal interpretations if they turned out to be wrong... Most people can just go "lalalala I can't hear you" at canon but I don't like doing that. I mean yes I have my AUs just so Doey can live but that feels different to me. The boys' colors don't feel like something that can just be made into an AU for me, because like how would you even logically justify that? But I might genuinely dislike the canon here if the music video is considered a part of it, so I'm at a loss...

Just found out that a Safe Haven music video just came out that depicts orange Matthew and red Kevin :( And it's apparently an official collab with Mob animators? So does that mean these colors are canon now? I really prefer orange Kevin...

They didn't even color in the colors correctly. Why are both arms orange? Only the left arm should be orange...

For a little context, there was a reply on my old tweet about it that I didn't see until now (because Twitter did not put it in my notifs at all) saying that the claim of Mob cutting ties with Black Gryph0n was false and the person who claimed it was a known liar. So I'm. Really disappointed about that, to say the least.

If we get a new female character in Chapter 5, one of my hopes is that she's not pink. We already got like four pink girl characters lol (Kissy Missy, Mommy Longlegs, PickyPiggy, and Rabie Baby... Although at least in Picky's case she's just pink because she's a pig and not for femininity points lol)
