There's something about Lucy Gray's songs haunting Snow, like, yes The Hanging Tree, Deep in the Meadow and even The Old Therebefore, but those were about Billy Taupe —and Arlo— and the Covey as a whole. Even the footage of her singing The Ballad of Lucy Gray Baird, about Billy Taupe again, remains. Meanwhile the song she did write for him, Pure as the Driven Snow, is forgotten.

The song that made him think she saw him as someone good —"someone who’d really tried to be noble in impossible circumstances", "the hero of her life"— doesn't exist anymore; because even the one who could remember songs just by hearing them once, Maude Ivory, let it die.

His song faded—just like Lucy Gray's belief in him.

I'm so so so glad that Sunrise on the Reaping effectively shut everyone up about Lucy Gray being Katniss's greatgrandma. I always hated this fanon cause it didn't make sense, and it made both Katniss and Lucy Gray lose their own importance and uniqueness. Except for the songs they both sung, they're nothing alike. Katniss is very much 100% from the Seam, and Lucy Gray never was.

The next time you’re watching this masterful scene I want you to remember that 3D objects in the computer have no physical properties and can clip through each other without care. Which means that every stretch of skin, every forceful kiss, every tender hand placement, every single physical touch and movement has to be meticulously crafted and executed flawlessly by the animators to ensure that it looks realistic. It boggles my mind at how much work was put into every single frame of this scene and I thank the animators for their service.

Many queer women and women in general need to step back and re-evaluate their fixation on men, because how is it that a canonical lesbian ship like CaitVi isn’t trending, yet JayVik is? How much attention and space are still given to male-centered ships, even when there’s a well-written, canon relationship between two women right there.

Vander and Silco love and care for their children. However, despite their best efforts, they caused them to turn out the same way they did. Vander sees himself in Vi but it made her make a similar regretted betrayal of Powder, where Silco pushes a lot of his cynicism onto Powder, who became Jinx.

Despite that, both Jinx and Vi learned from Vander and Silco's mistakes after beginning to understand them for the better and how they could've made up if they were allowed to. They rekindle their old dynamic and begin to make up for past mistakes, in the way Vander and Silco were never able to.

Just thinking about how Jinx never told Isha to stay back and always let her tag along despite the danger because she never wanted to do the same thing Vi did to her and make Isha feel left out/useless. But now she probably understands in the worst way why Vi did what she did.

Ambessa really told Mel that Kino was all the sweetness in her heart - as though Mel was none of it. Ambessa really refused all of Mel's offers to be a family again. Died in her arms. No one to tell Mel about her inheritance, no one to teach her about being a mage. No Elora. Jayce is gone. She leaves Piltover, the city she loved and built herself from the inside. And we've just gotta sit with that?
