As much as Sam Reich would like us to think that Brennan only left because of his passion for being a doll cobbler, a friend of mine who works closely with dropout gave me the real tea so here we go.

1. Things were getting HEATED behind the scenes between Brennan and Rick Perry over his DMing style clashing with Perry's vision for the show

2. Sam refused to heed Beardsley's warnings about needing to hire a mediator for the show

3. Izzy and Brennan staged a walkout that got buried before anything came of it. Reportedly the entire D20 cast and over half of the crew were on strike for about 18 hours before negotiations were opened and a day later an agreement was made to get everyone back to work

4. Brennan has been under pressure to DM more like Katie Marovitch for years, but refused saying the 6 system was too complicated and wouldn't translate for their audiences

5. The Mulligan\Marovitch beef has been going on for a while with Katie apparently showing up to shoots and offering tips that Brennan completely ignored until Never Stop Blowing Up, where we do see some of her influence creeping in

6. Mark Mercer of Critical Role originally sided with Brennan, but recently has changed his tune, possibly to get a spot on D20 OAB, as they were originally going to give that spot to Brian Murphy

7. Despite the success of NADDPOD and questions from the DnD community, and his involvement with D20, Murphy had managed to remain fairly neutral when asked what he thinks of things, though there is a rumor that Mark Mercer was only tapped for the role that became Piece of Lint on OAB because Murph thought that the use of the 6 system in the show was 'too far, even for him'

This most recent episode of Game Changer revealed a lot, and now that Brennan is gone there are fears that other cast members will follow. Lou has been reportedly taking some time away to focus on expanding is role on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but there is no official word on what this means for his future with Dropout. Personally, I'm just hoping I can get a pair of shoes for my Josefina Montoya that are actually historically accurate before they sell out.

Fanart of my new favorite dimension 20 season, D20 on a bus!!! Absolutely loved the freedom of character and emotion packed into the start, and the abstract nature of the characters let me have a ton of fun doing character designs that are just based on their personalities! Had a ton of fun and am excited to see where the season goes

here's the thing, though, while dnd on a bus may not win the game changer, katie marovitch has still permanently impacted how a large portion of the fandom will refer to one of the most famous names in dnd. and that kind of influence is a far bigger win in my eyes
