gratitude:
- living in a society that encourages the need to want more means that it is especially important we regularly remind ourselves of all that we could be grateful for. it is important because always wanting more can inevitably direct our attention towards all that we do not have, which can not only result in dissatisfaction with all that we do have, but it can also take away the joy of gratitude. it can take away, as research shows, the numerous benefits of practising gratitude - from helping us to develop a more positive and solution focussed mindset during adversity, to encouraging us to appreciate and strengthen our relationships, and, increasing our general level of happiness and psychological well being.

unhelpful thinking habits:
begin to focus less
on โwhatโ your mind thinks
and much more
on โhowโ your mind thinks
for there is nothing in this world
that can trouble you more
than your own thoughts
- the first step is to identify the unhelpful thinking habits you may have developed, in order to start noticing when you are using them. once you are able to notice when you are using them, the second step is to gently challenge those unhelpful thoughts and to slowly begin to view your situations through a more helpful and healthier lens.
