✰ LANTERN RITE 2025 ! – reblog & send to earn Peace Talismans.
Tumblr media
[XINYUE KIOSK] - Back again, Xinyue Kiosk’s keeping up the competition, offering sweet treats, savory dishes, and even refreshing veggies for all those looking to share a snack.
[TEA TASTING] - Third-Round Knockout is once again bringing the new year on with plenty of new tea options for all those caffeinated connoisseurs that want to branch out. Including, for the first time in quite a while, specialty imports all the way from Natlan!
[DRAGON DANCE] - Uh-oh! It seems like the main crew that would lead the dragon dance are two members short, and need two sets of hands NOW! Grab someone and help keep this dance from falling through.
[KAMERA BOOTH] - Liyue is as scenic as it is busy. Several Kamera’s are set up on the docks, surrounding mountains, and some of the best balconies in the area. Make a memory with someone important to you, or keep the lens' attention for yourself!
[LANTERNS] - Like a sea, lanterns float up and flood the night sky. Meaning often dictated by color, they contain our hopes for the new year. Gather with those most cherished and wish for blessings.
[FIREWORK SHOW] - While noisy, fireworks are an incredible display of beauty and color. Make your mark on the new year with a bang!
[JADE HEARTS] - A popular shape for a popular stone in the land of Geo, these Jade Talismans sold quite well. Now, they’re made as a profession of love and desire to ring the New Year in with the company of another.
[BURNING INCENSE] - Even with all the raucous celebration, it is always important to find a quiet moment and remember those who now belong among the stars.
[TOUR GUIDE] - With as many sights to see as Liyue has, join up with a group of strangers to garner the best sights across the city and countryside!
[GIANT JENGA] - While not necessarily a Liyue classic, a recent uptick amongst the younger generation has brought this classic game to the port, and with blocks bigger than ever! Will you best your friend, or will all the pieces come crumbling down?
[RED ENVELOPES] - Customize your own envelope as a gift to those most cherished. Whether you slip in some mora or a confession of love, even the smallest of envelopes can be life-changing!
[SNAKE PETTING] - As the mascot animal of the year, an exhibit has been set up with several non-venomous and super friendly snakes, if you’re not afraid of these scaly babies.
[JADE MYSTERY] - Shitou is running a special promotion! Guess the correct Noctilucous Jades to find out what it is, just don't gamble all of your mora away...

✦ the wends: the frustration that you’re not enjoying an experience as much as you should.
also sent in by @neverendingdeath :)
Sleep schedule? No such thing for a Stellaron Hunter. When Silver Wolf was tired, she would snack or nap, disregarding entirely what time of day (or night) it was. Unsurprisingly, she was often up in the early morning, when the majority of life around her went to sleep.
Tonight was restless, and unbearably so. She'd given a chance to a few unpromising games that ended up meeting her expectations - boring and full of bugs, and not fleshed out enough to offer any real challenge. Why even publish a game if you're not finished with it? She huffed, having cycled through her cell phone, her desktop computer, and handheld devices - nothing was keeping her attention for longer than a half hour.
Silver Wolf kicks both of her feet away from her desktop setup, pivoting to the wires and casings that housed Prome's neural network.
"Hello, Silver Wolf," the module boots up with a familiar voice, although far more robotic than Silver Wolf's own tone. "Another night of no fun?"
"Hmm? If I turn that screw just a few more times, I can probably turn off that attitude of yours," she mutters, her fingers tapping idly upon her desk.
"Although this is true, the likelihood of your threat actually coming to fruition is extremely low," Prome chirps in response, in the same monotonous voice, though you could almost hear a sing-song mocking in it.
"Hey, Prome, I have a question for you. Once I've played all the games in the world…" Silver Wolf holds the thought, her cheek resting in her hand, humming as she thinks of a way to word her thoughts. "What else is there?"
"You have not played all the games in the world, and there will be infinitely more games to be developed, even if they don't meet your standards for 'fun,'" Prome responds matter-of-factly. "Are you asking me for the meaning of life? I have calculated the answer to be 42."
Silver Wolf scoffs and shuts off the voice module for the time being. Her computer chair spins again so she's facing the dark wall of her room.
Life was all fun and games to Silver Wolf, but lulls like this were almost unbearable. She knew the next day would come, along with another adventure, but times like this, when nothing brought her enjoyment, when nobody was even up to entertain her thoughts, not even the version of herself she'd programmed for that exact reason…
She was tired. She lets out a sigh and dives head-first into her bed, allowing the thoughts to continue swimming in her head and weighing her down, hoping sleep would come soon to drown away her worries.

It could not be clearer that Silver Wolf was an unwanted individual on the Herta Space Station. In fact, should there be a list of banned individuals, she wouldn't be surprised to find herself at the top spot, separate and higher than the other Stellaron Hunters, simply out of spite… And, simply out of spite, did Silver Wolf continue to weasel her way in through Herta's defenses anyways, just to prove that she could, and even if she weren't expressly causing mischief (although that was always tempting).
Today was another one of those days. Where a collection of activities and games met, Silver Wolf would be there, even if it were on the Herta Space Station. Regardless, her appearance is a mere hologram, despite the form looking indistinguishable from the real Silver Wolf to the untrained eye.
Her dexterous fingers spin the palm-sized hexanexus, turning the sides with ease to match the simulated configuration. Solved in mere seconds, she sets the puzzle back down on the display, grabbing another one and rotating it about, her eyes not leaving the toy as she responds to the voice addressing her. "You rotate the solid and translucent pieces so they line up with the solution you're given. Sometimes, the sides have special markings on them, so you gotta take those into account when you're turning it around too," she chats nonchalantly. This one takes a bit longer to crack, but Silver Wolf finishes it within two minutes nevertheless, setting it back down before the surprised Xianzhou native running the booth.
Knuckles of her fists resting on her hips, she turns to the source of the voice, popping her bubblegum between her teeth and tongue. A little girl clad in white and green stands beside her, and Silver Wolf's neutral expression softens ever-so subtly. Then again, her brief speech made her out to be more mature than appearances go; perhaps she was something like a Pepeshi? Silver Wolf turns again to the Hexanexus display, the puzzles arranged in two rows from least difficult to most, left to right and top to bottom. Her fingers lift, hesitating for a moment, before she picks the puzzle on the far left in the bottom row, a puzzle of medium difficulty, and her hand extends to the shorter individual. "I can coach you if you need it, but sometimes learning is best done by doing. Wanna give it a go?"

The last thing the Stellaron Hunter remembers is that she was invited to compete in the finals for the Liyue Millenial tournament taking place on Teyvat - a no-brainer, considering her prowess at any and all games - and the warp jump from the Hunters' base to Teyvat. Everything after that is a blur, both figuratively and literally. It seems she somehow managed to drag her feet to the tournament ground at Yujing Terrace, and she was mere meters from taking her seat opposite her opponent, but the buildings around her just wouldn't stop spinning, and suddenly her body met the ground.
Silver Wolf's head hangs so her chin is tucked into her chest, and she's desperately trying to hold back the urge to eject the contents of that morning's breakfast from her stomach. "S-Slower," she mutters to those next to her (whom, exactly, she's unsure), dragging her to Aeons knows where - up a flight of stairs that seems endless. Was she on the way to prison, finally? She hoped, at least, that prison wouldn't spin as much.
She finds herself plopped onto a wooden bench, its seating slightly cushioned with embroidered silk. Finally, rest, maybe the planet would stop moving so much now, Silver Wolf thinks to herself. Oh - it seems the more she so much as thinks about spinning, the dizzier she feels, and she has to clamp her lips shut again to hold back a gag.
Something cool is pressed against her lips and she parts them, not really having the energy to refuse whatever was being offered to her, and Silver Wolf is relieved it appears to be ice water. The essence of life, indeed, as it manages to relieve her dizziness, but only slightly. Her hands grip tightly onto the edge of the bench, hanging on as if she would be flung from her spot if she didn't.
"Huh…?" Someone had asked her something. Or was it a statement? "D-Dizzy…" she mumbles, still trying to decide if closing her eyes or keeping them open would be more helpful right now.

okay gnostic hymns i'm so excited let's get this crystallize going
(scroll further for wolfie's plots)
as stated before, i would love to prioritize muses/muns i have not interacted with yet, but please don't let that discourage you from reaching out if we'd already interacted and you'd like to snag one of these! i'm taking a break from discord so please dm me here or on silver wolf's account to claim; i'll try to be proactive with checking my messages, but apologies in advance for any slow responses.
freminet
Tumblr media
fontaine antimatter legion invasion - he'll probably be out on a dive or miscellaneous mission when he resurfaces to nothing less of chaos, but one of his convictions is to protect his family and, by extension, his home, so suffice to say he'll lend a hand in the defense efforts.
general lantern rite themed prompts (non-commission) - (ignoring the fact i just pitched a combat-themed thread) i think freminet would benefit from A Break from fighting; i'd love for him to participate in the festivities from the sidelines, perhaps browsing the offerings at wanwen bookhouse, listening to storytellers and operas on the stages, or being roped into a dance or lantern-making workshop where your muse needs a partner and they fortunately or unfortunately spot freminet all by himself.
silver wolf
Tumblr media
herta space station faire - at risk of being booted out of the space station entirely, you might spot the hologram of a certain stellaron hunter trying her hand at the minigames set up at certain booths or deciding between a diting or cycrane plushie to bring home.
lantern rite defense - i do not have any qualms about throwing silver wolf into combat LMAO in fact, i think she's had it too easy when compared to freminet, but we can combine this prompt with general festivities as well. maybe she's embarrassed by her performance during the xianzhou bootcamp and decides she needs some extra training through fighting treasure hoarders (hopefully easier to beat than the cloud knights?); she'll treat your muse to some fried radish balls and/or hot pot after the fact.

send in " i'm passing the phone to someone who..." " + a reference to something the receiver's muse either did one time or does regularly that deserves a bit of teasing and a bit of a call-out, and the receiver's muse will respond in turn!
EXAMPLE: "i'm passing the phone to someone who still doesn't know the difference between anchovies and artichokes." "...i'm passing the phone to someone who thinks the lyrics to elton john's tiny dancer are "all the clubs have tiny dancers"."

✦ wildred: feeling the haunting solitude of extremely remote places, which makes you feel like you’ve just intruded on a conversation that had nothing to do with you.
The nameless girl stood at the end of the world as it was known to her, a land fully conquered by her against all expectations.
She was alone up here, as she had always been, but below, hundreds of stories beneath her feet, there were countless people.
Someone's foot stepped on a cigarette stub, their lips letting out one last sigh with the final remnants of smoke before they turned the heel of their leather shoe back into their office.
A pair of young siblings with boundless energy ran side by side, laughing happily and placing playful bets between each other at who would be the last to reach home.
A couple with previously bright prospects are now reunited in a divorce hearing, mere months after tying the knot. Down the same street, another young soul realizes they've fallen in love with someone who was right by their side for years.
The nameless girl towering alone above Rainbow City clenches her fist, unable to see or witness any of these hundreds or even thousands of small joys and sorrows. The people looked like ants from where she stood, and countless stars glimmered in the horizon but only served to drive the blade of loneliness deeper into her heart.
"So boring," she says aloud, as if by hearing it out loud she would be able to convince herself of the falsehood. Her fist shakes, though it was not the fear of heights making her tremble.

Somehow, Silver Wolf always finds the worst time to be in Belobog. That last time, she was being chased around in the midst of aetherium hunting because of some chatter about the "ghost of the supreme guardian's past" or something absolutely silly. This time, it seems like there's loads more people running around, and consequently, loads more to run into her while she attempts to resume her hunt for the aforementioned aetherium spirit.
Truth be told, she wants no part of the current Belobogian administration, especially because that old hag in office that everyone says "looks just like her" still refuses to drop her guard on Silver Wolf's perfectly innocuous goals. What a joke. She's turning a corner trying to run from another soldier addressing her with a flustered "M-Miss Supreme Guardian…!", the coil of her ponytail swaying in the frosty wind when she ungracefully crashes into a taller figure.
"Oh, it's the old dude with glasses from the Express," she speaks without thinking, nevertheless taking his offered hand, brushing off her bandaged knees as she stands again. Silver Wolf doesn't miss the tone in his voice, turning to see the curious IPC soldiers craning their heads in her direction. "Sure, uncle, why not?" She offers a shrug, already continuing to walk in the direction she had already been headed, with the intention for her new companion to follow.
"What 'rounds' am I helping out with, specifically, mister…?" Silver Wolf trails off. She could easily find data on this guy, at least enough to learn what his name was, but never really cared enough to make the effort to do it. Her hands lift above her head, her fingers pinching the bow of her ponytail holder to adjust it after their bump-in. Perhaps she'd ask a bit later why it was that he seemed to be staring holes into her back every time she boarded the express. "Surely, you don't also think I'm the Supreme Guardian of Belobog, right, gramps?"

Her eyes flit back and forth between the silver-haired foxian, whom Blade seems generally acquainted with (or perhaps the other way around), and her designated salami slicer in Blade's hands. A chill shoots through her body imagining what sort of battlefield these two will create, were she not here to serve as a buffer and should they be left to their own devices. Considering fighting words were already being shared under the guise of guidance, she takes the initiative and steps forward towards the soldiers with much reluctance, but also out of necessity.
"Well, hopefully that served as a good introduction to today's practice. If we're moving up in levels from the easiest difficulty to the hardest, seems like it should be me that goes first." Another nonchalant pop of her bubblegum, and Silver Wolf engages the wrist module on her right arm with a pump of her fist, the cybernetic blade seemingly constructed entirely out of holographic pixels extending over the back of her hand. "Who's first?"
A soldier in the front row who'd seemed to be itching for a fight during the past few minutes steps up almost automatically. A makeshift arena forms, more like a crude circle where the training spar would be taking place more than anything. Everyone else seems to step back, forming into a perimeter, breaths held in anticipation.
Silver Wolf shifts her stance, right foot in front of the left, stabilizing herself. The soldier's heavy metal lance seems to make a sound as it slices through the air towards her person.
Request: [1d20] Roll: [1] Result: 1
The taps of her fingers on her wrist module were not fast enough for the brute force of the spear's blades slashing at her. The pixelated cube she's positioned over the soldier's head falls without hitting anything as the soldier lunges forward and dodges it, almost as if they planned the move at the perfect moment. Instinctively, she lets out a sound both of surprise and pain. A large slash traces along her forearm and through her midsection, and where one would expect blood to be pouring from the flesh wounds, the bystanders instead see glitching pixels, Silver Wolf's form revealed to be a mere hologram.
"Not bad," she offers, retracting her blade and taking a step back, her hand hovering over the digital open wounds. There's little else she can say; for all her lack of strength, she didn't expect to perform this poorly out the gate.

In all honesty, Silver Wolf is still rolling around the idea in her head of resorting to her mediocre-at-best mechanical engineering talents should things go south. She weighs the pros and cons while her eyes scan the crowd of Ingenium: perhaps they could still try a game, but if any of the losers start malfunctioning further, she'd pull out her toolbox of screwdrivers and bolts. This was wishful thinking, at best: as easily as she could hack pretty much anything electronic in the Xianzhou fleet, her expertise dealt with coding, and not soddering connections, or even beginning to figure out what sort of magic is imbued in these foreign beasts, for that matter.
Silver Wolf does not startle easily, and so her expression remains unchanged when Firefly leans into her side, but she's not dense, and the warmth of her companion serves as a reminder to reroute her train of thought. What about a game where there are no losers? It shouldn't have taken her the subtle touch to reconsider her strategies, but Silver Wolf is certainly no stranger to losses, so otherwise the thought wouldn't have even crossed her mind.
Nearly imperceptibly to the untrained eye, though she knows Firefly can tell, she shifts her posture so her jacket sleeve presses against Firefly's shoulder, the faux fur of her hood ever so slightly tickling both of their cheeks with the minutely narrower space. Of course, all the while, the reciprocation remains delicate enough to not exacerbate any potential pain or discomfort - Silver Wolf is always careful with these things.
Tuning out the outside world for just a moment, the hacker becomes engrossed in searching her wrist module for the query "games where everyone is a winner," her toe tapping upon the floor in a silent rhythm as she scrolls the results. Even in this brief moment of simple research on a bustling ship, it feels as if she and her companion are the only two living beings in a three-dimensional, blank space simulation - if this moment were a game, she'd surely have a few choice words for the developer, if it were anybody else beside her but Firefly.
"Seriously, they really shouldn't be shoving this AI stuff down our throats if they can't even code it correctly. The first results are all certainly games in which there would still be a designated losing team," Silver Wolf mutters under her breath, closing out the search engine being projected through her wrist module. She wracks the repository in her brain for results instead. Truly, at the end of the day, the only person you can count on is yourself." What about something like Gartic Phone? If nothing else, that could get a few laughs out of everybody, and it isn't really competitive. Wait, can they even draw? Red light, green light might be the way to go, supposing we both go super easy on them. Or we all sit around a table and start a Dungeons and Dragons campaign together, then we all win or lose together."

"One of its kind," Silver Wolf responds before even looking to address the speaker. She's already quickly trying to revert her nonsensical changes lest she get in "trouble" some way or another, when the voice indicates that it's willing to pay. Her clumsy fingers stop trying to fiddle with the gears and her fists rest on her hips, turning towards the voice.
Her eyes first land on the fluffy cat ears that are yearning to be pet, but of course, Silver Wolf has some semblance of manners, and her hands stay put, her face as stoic as ever. Perhaps she'd be willing to extort some money out of another sucker, but lie to a cat girl, she could not. (She almost voices this fact as if to demonstrate her good will, but thinks it best to not let on that she's an internationally wanted criminal-slash-hacker if the other person doesn't already know that.)
"Well, I don't suppose you'd have the mora for this?" She gestures at the mechanical penguin, accidentally dropping a spring and a screw on the ground, and leans down to pick it up as she continues to remove the Undertale theme from this poor clockwork penguin. "At least, you can buy the base model from whoever's running shop and I can show you how to make it play some cool music. Maybe not even this specific tune."
i, silver wolf, see great potential within you!

Note
✦ fata organa: a flash of real emotion glimpsed in someone sitting across the room, as if you could see backstage through a gap in the curtains.
cw: addiction, gambling
There is something inherently beautiful about gaming.
Hear her out - she doesn't mean video games, but just… games. Sharing joy and laughter with others, old and young, bridging gaps between languages or distances through a brief escape from reality. This is what Silver Wolfs loves about games, and sharing games with others: there are challenges to be overcome, but fun to be had, and friends to be made.
As with every escape from reality, sometimes the fictional world becomes all too alluring, blurring the lines between what is real and what is not.
She saw it in her own reflection in the screen of that basement arcade game; the darkness of the stuffy room almost suffocating, the power having gone out for just a moment, but long enough so that her game reset, and she could see into her own eyes. It was like looking into the face of a nameless stranger, those sunken in eyes, one who had simultaneously lost everything and had nothing else left to lose. Just one more level, one more win - one brief glimpse of hope.
It gave her pause. Only for a second. Once the engine whirred back to life, that nameless young loner's fingers resumed moving with practiced muscle memory: left, right, left, left, hold down, right, up, left. Her only friend, the joystick.
Silver Wolf sees this empty stare in the eyes of others at times, in gaming halls when the stakes are higher. If anyone were to point out that stranger that just lost their life savings on picking the wrong card, she might scoff or quip about not putting all of your eggs into one basket.
She knows well she still has a piece of that stranger living within her, deep down. Would she still be stuck in front of that same basement screen had she not been found by that man, woman, metal humanoid and ∎∎∎∎ that day? She does not like to linger on the answer to this question, knowing the answer would likely be "yes."

Silver Wolf was very upfront about her martial prowess - or, rather, lack thereof: sure, she'd done enough to survive in Punklorde in the past, and yes, at the end of the day, she's still earned her place within the ranks of the Stellaron Hunters… but, out of the four, she'd be the last one picked to lead a combat training simulation. This type of simulation had nothing to do with the virtual types she was used to, either (though, she supposes some of her prior knowledge would help to design some interesting puzzles, at least).
If she didn't know better, she would have assumed some frazzled soul from the Luofu found out her screen name was "Silver Wolf" and that in and of itself was enough merit to have her participate in today's training. Well, if it was an actual wolf they were anticipating, no doubt they'd be disappointed to find a small-ish young woman snapping her bubblegum with her fists on her hips.
From the getgo, Silver Wolf doesn't attempt to play leader - that wasn't her usual team pick, anyways, and such was the case for this group of ragtag boot camp trainers. At least Blade were here, that should more than make up for whatever hole in combat Silver Wolf would undoubtedly provide, and, conversely, it was a good thing she were here to keep an eye on him.
And there was the silver-haired Foxian stranger that looked familiar in passing, raring to go.
She gives a noncommittal shrug of her shoulders when they both bow their heads to look at their shorter counterpart, and allows her two other companions to decide today's course. Perhaps Silver Wolf would play the role of moral support today, like an e-sports team coach.
