I watch this scene time and again, and I think to myself “Who else but Captain Hook?” Who else but Captain Hook would have his hook personally sharpened, and brought to him on a velvet pillow? Who else but Captain Hook has an entire village of pirates so devoted to him that they would follow said hook while chanting “Hook, hook, show us the hook!”? Who else but Captain Hook would have all of this and more to stroke his enormous ego? But you know something, who else but Captain Hook deserves this sort of amazing intro? He’s more than a pirate, he’s a pirate king.

Long live the Hook!
