Every Bird is a Dinosaur. No exceptions!
For something a bit different, here's a silly little video of a silver gull hunting flies. The area had been hit by a storm recently which washed massive amounts of kelp and other sea weed onto the beach which in turn attracted enormous numbers of flies.
Doodled some ornithomimid dinosaurs at work and decided to flesh it out more with my tablet at home. Gallimimus parent with some unruly offspring in a lazily drawn deserty environment (they were from late cretaceous mongolia). the colors of the parent are inspired by todays vulturine guineafowl.
the pinyon jay is a member of the corvid family found in western north america. they earned their name from their fondness for the seeds of pinyon pines, a large portion of their diet; otherwise, they feed on other seeds, fruits and berries, and insects. these are very social and intelligent birds, often living in flocks of around 250 birds. they are vulnerable due to habitat degradation and impacts on the pinyon line (their primary food source).
