I love that flame hates spongs literally because spongs is incompetent and uses that to bug flame because he knows flame gets annoyed by people around him messing up so he does it on purpose constantly then plays the victim when flame starts attacking him. spongs is both sooooo petty and lowkey a genius for genuinely getting under flames skin so much. ik its partially scripted so flame is probably playing up his annoyance for the storyline, but I’ve never heard flame genuinely crash out and raise his voice sm in one vid and I’m eight minutes in. it gets worse. I’m so hyped.

ALSO jaden blaming flame for that is kind of crazy?? like obv flame is just as in the wrong as spongs is, but everyone siding with spongs and flame looking to jaden for support when hes obviously upset and then jaden agreeing with everyone that it was flames fault wemmbu got away is insane. flame was literally at like 4 hearts from SPONGS critting him out and yes he placed too many webs for a big team to out maneuver a single player in an enclosed space, theyre both pretty stupid but it def makes sense why flame starts to harbor resentment if I’m less than ten minutes in

ok one thing though, jaden is kind of catching strays here- flames not yelling at him, but hes separated the team into ‘flame’ and ‘everyone else’ by saying things like “the moment *I* left you fell apart” and “*I’m* the leader now, we do my plan and if it doesnt work we can do *your* plan”. its not an ‘us’ or when ‘we’ left you fell apart, no, its JUST flame. flame doesnt acknowledge jaden at all, which is better than blaming him too, but jaden is standing with the rest of the team as flame yells at them so it really feels like hes yelling at jaden too. jaden has been his most reliable teammate by far and is his friend, so its kind of insane flame is just ignoring him like that. also kind of insane that flames anger genuinely got everyone to stand in a line, shut up and listen to him, and agree to his plan.

sharp is lowkey a fire team member he was so hatable in wemmbus video and hes weirdly likable in flames crazy what a different perspective does (I still hate jaden man)

ohh flame asked for the mace back. because he knows how to breach-swap. so he got the mace from jaden. who trusts him. so that he could start to kill his team. over them being annoying. I was really rooting for flame&jaden being toxic, but I was not expecting it to go in this direction tbh

theres so much arguing and so much going on- I’m getting that flame betrayed because either a) he was fed up with his team, b) he doesnt think theyre strong enough to deserve killing wemmbu, c) he doesnt care about killing wemmbu, d) hes pissed at them for not listening

is it crazy I feel lowkey bad for jaden in this specific circumstance. I am #1 uu!jadenman hater but flame is being a MASSIVE dick to his whole team and jaden+sharp especially, w honorary mention wyll and fansts. sharp didnt want to give up a mace he fought for literal hours for the right to have, and once teaming with them he agreed to give it to the guy who was just trying to kill him because he trusted flame and jaden enough to believe they had similar motives and wouldnt trick him, and even AFTER flame tricked him he still trusts flame to give it back, which flame has no intention of doing. jaden has been watching flames independence and frustration tear apart the team he created, which has been 99% justified but definitely disheartening(for jaden) to see flames immaturity get the best of him, along with flame semi accidentally berating him along with the rest of the team. and now flame basically tricked jaden into giving him the mace so that he could kill the rest of their own team, severely debuffing jaden for the fight theyre ACTUALLY having and turning on the rest of their team. honorary mention wyll because wyll has been the least problematic on the whole team right up until he jumped sharpness in the middle of a fight.

ON THE OTHER HAND, flame is kind of justified in a lot of his behavior because hes kind of right about the majority of the things hes crashing out over. hes overreacting, but the fact that hes reacting isnt unjustified. flame doesnt really want to be here, he doesnt super care about banning wemmbu and hes mostly here to help jaden get his mace back. despite, for the record, thinking the mace is an objectively bad weapon that he avoids using if he can, hes still willing to get it for jaden. but jaden recruited someone who purposefully annoys and pisses flame off, even going to far as to literally attack flame on multiple occasions when there are much bigger things to worry about. flame literally expresses this annoyance to jaden, saying everything around is making him mad- the terrain, their team, wemmbu getting away, its pretty obvious this is a bad day for flame and hes only here for his friend. And flame 1000% has a right to crash out during the final fight with wemmbu, they literally agreed very clearly and multiple times to follow his plan but the moment wemmbu looks at all weakened they completely abandon it and boaderline throw the fight. now, was flame using the mace to try to kill fansts and sharp justified fair? fuck no. flame betrayed over something that should have been a post-wemmbu ban argument. jaden getting mad at flame and seeing it as flame betraying him (even if flame turned away from attacking jaden and is treating him like a teammate) would be pretty based, all things considered.

Pangi cares about Lukey so much and today he showed it in a way that’s rare for him. Pangi doesn't always say what he feels, but he acts. Because as emotionally repressed and battle-hardened to express affection, protection is his way of showing care.

But today he could tell something was off. Lukey was quiet, distant, withdrawn. And unlike during the egg debate, where he spiraled into paranoia, this time actually he actually trusted Lukey. He didn't pull out his weapon when Lukey asked him to shoot, he broke the door when he saw Lukey just accepted his fate. He absolutely noticed how Lukey was off today.

He admitted to something big: that he blew up Pili’s base in a fit of rage. Even though the words were not spelled out, they were there - that he did it because he got angry after Lukey died, after he lost Lukey. That kind of honesty doesn’t come easy to him. For someone from Lifesteal, vulnerability is dangerous — it’s ammunition. and yet, he gave it anyway. To Lukey

And Pangi didn't deter he kept pushing Lukey for answers despite Lukey's multiple attempts to distract away from the topic. And when Pangi noticed that Lukey began hesitating, mentioning promises, pulling back further is when Pangi, too, stepped back. But not in anger. In understanding. He knows lukey is hiding something, but he’s giving him space and he's giving him time because he realizes Lukey clearly needs it.

He even heard Lukey talking to Newt, and instead of reacting with suspicion, he now wants to understand. He wants to read Lukey’s memory lane books in order to know him better.

He was trying to meet Lukey halfway today. He took a loud step forward which neither have dared to do in the past. He called the lab his "home" a second time - a place he shares with Lukey. And the only reason he hasn't said all his feelings to Lukey is because he's scared and not because he doesn't care.

Something something honesty is easy when it's instinct but terrifying when it's hope.

Of course trPangi cares about trLukey, oh my god anyone who’s ever payed attention to their dynamic would’ve seen the absolute TENSION all day, especially with Pangi not letting Lukey get away with any changes in topic or conversation. He wanted to know if Lukey was okay, and he got his answer: no.

But the thing about Pangi is that he’s from Lifesteal, and he’s also still very much struggling with self expression. Today he called Lukey handsome, that’s INSANE progress from where he was even a month ago! But he’s still working through his own personal trauma regarding expressing his emotions, especially ones that make him look soft, and especially ones that make him look weak to Lukey. He wants to be this big strong role model for him like he said to Water just a few days ago, and now that he sees Lukey is clearly struggling, he probably wants to be this stable emotional pillar for Lukey to lean on.

The problem with this is that A) he’s leaving, and B) Lukey probably needs emotional vulnerability right now more than he needs anything else. Pangi can’t be there for Lukey forever, and he’s clearly struggling with that fact. But it’s also the only thing he knows how to do; for all of his talk of being the server’s therapist’s, he’s absolutely hopeless when it comes to his actual loved ones having problems. He can’t solve this problem with fixed gear and the usual bickering, he has to actually communicate, but he’s reluctant to do that because of his own problems with vulnerability
