“here’s your americano, and have a great day,” subin spoke to the customer, handing them their drink with a soft smile on her features.
as soon as they left, her attention was on jihoon and her expression turned into something unreadable. he was persistent – she’d give him that.
“and what exactly would be my excuse? i can’t just sneak out. my parents would kill me. and there aren’t many excuses i can use considering parties usually occur late at night, right?” she finally responded, despite having tried to ignore him at any time that he wasn’t ordering coffee.
“besides, even if i went, i can bet my entire life savings that you wouldn’t even say hi to me. you’d be off with your friends, playing beer pong or whatever, and where would i be? in a corner, wondering why i even agreed to go.”
jihoon sipped on his warm coffee and set it down on the table before shifting in his seat to look at subin. he thought of many excuses he’d use for his parents to keep them himself out of trouble, but would they work with subin’s parents who didn’t even know she had a job?
“ you are allowed to stay at friends�� houses? or do your parents like keeping you locked up like rapunzel as well? ” he joked. “ if you are, just say that you’re staying at a friend’s to study and i can pick you up, i drive you know. ”
jihoon shrugged at his last comment and looked towards the other student. he put his hand on subin’s arm and smiled at her genuinely. “ and trust me, i won’t leave your side unless you want me to. we can play beer pong together and sit in corners being moody. ” he chuckled to himself and took one last sip of his coffee.
“ also my coffee’s finished, you say yes, i’ll leave you alone for a week, you say you don’t wanna go, i’m ordering iced tea instead. your choice. ”

“ oh my god it’s you. ” jihoon muttered under his breath as she came into sight.
jihoon had been wondering around kurin after school waiting for jieun when he saw her. the girl he’d been admiring for a couple of weeks. lee haneun the dancer who’d taken up all his interests. after seeing her dance once he’d been mesmerized by her swift movements and grace, he would definitely call himself her fan.
he fumbled around with his jacket trying to find his phone, taking out and going straight to his camera, much like most fans when they see the person they’ve been fawning over. but he thought about it for a second. putting his phone down, he walked over to haneun with his hands in his pockets and his confidence only slightly faltering as he approached her.
“ hey! you’re lee haneun, isn’t it? ” he said with exuberance, “ i’m a big fan of yours! ”

jihoon was laying on the carpet floor of his bedroom, blasting music on 100% through his earphones and looking up homework answers on his phone, what he said to his mother was ‘studying’. his phone dinged with its signature text tone, alerting him.
“ quit studying and come with me to get some patbingsu. ” junhwan had texted him.
he thought it over once or twice; pro: he gets to go out with his friend (he blushed lightly), con: his mother would kill him, even if he asked, jihoon thought. finally, he reached his conclusion, he was gonna do it after all patbingsu is amazing.
“ i can’t believe i’m giving in this easy, meet me at the dessert place in 5. ” he texted back.

“ come with me. ”
the boy had been sitting in the cafe for around an hour now sitting at the table closet to the counter, leaning slightly in his chair with a coffee cup in his hands. by the counter stood the third-year girl taking another’s order.
“ come on you have to at least try it! ” jihoon said to subin. for the past hour he had been trying to convince the barista to come with him to a party on friday, however, not with much success. he had been trying to argue her one-sidedly on the subject over two coffees already.
jihoon had liked coming to the cafe to study most of the time and whilst he didn’t usually mingle with chunghwa students, he had taken a liking to subin when she first started working there. he had always tried to start up conversations with her when ordering and genuinely tried getting to know her at other times, being the friendly person he usually is; today his starter was ‘have you been to a party before’. he vaguely knew of her parent’s strictness but he still wanted to get to know her and what better way to that then introducing her to alcohol and parties.
“ i’m sure you’ll have a great time and if you don’t at least you tried, right? ”

( 20 . any of the above ) 7 . romantic kiss
jihoon was drunk, well semi-drunk. the kind where you’ve had a few drinks and you know that if you have any more you’re gonna go over then edge. he was at a party for the nth time that week and had brought junhwan along with him this time.
he took a long sip of his drink and looked over his friend. jihoon had forgotten what the conversation was about a long time ago but junhwan appeared to be passionate about the subject as he’d been talking for the past two minutes. not wanting to be rude he nodded his head and uttered a few “yeah’s” every now and then. whilst junhwan was talking jihoon started to think about himself and junhwan and how he was never going to get anywhere with this crush he had. the alcohol had clearly affected jihoon as his next action surprised both junhwan and himself.
jihoon had smashed his lips on the other, making junhwan stop talking. a few second into the kiss jihoon had realised what he was doing but he was too far gone to think of the consequences and furthered his kiss, his feelings started to show. he thought he was never gonna get to do this again so jihoon gave it his all before he let go of junhwan.

3 . nose kiss
the two had been studying in the library, at separate tables. but jihoon, being jihoon. decided to sit at her table. after all they did have the same class so it would be easier to study together he thought.
“ hi, can we study together? ” he asked and sat down beside her before she had agreed. he smiled at her like he usually did and the two began to start their impromptu study date.
after they studied for the remaining two hours jihoon had before he had to go on early shift, sera and jihoon had stopped revising and started talking about anything that came to mind.
“ i’m sorry to cut our conversion short but i have to go soon, see you at school? ” he said and planted a small kiss on the girl’s nose.
“ as a goodbye and a thank you for letting me study with you! ” he explained and left the library.

19 . forceful kiss
today, seokbeom had taken it upon himself to tease him, much to jihoon’s dismay. after somehow getting on to the topic of relationships, and seokbeom being the only friend he’d told about how he’d never had a relationship, seokbeom had started to find a way to joke about it.
somewhere in the middle of the conversation the two had been having seokbeom had jokingly asked whether or not jihoon was even good at kissing which set off jihoon’s trigger.
“ if i’m not good at kissing then what do you think of this? ” jihoon started.
following his question jihoon kissed his friend as best as he could, pushing his lips on to the others for a near minute. after detaching their lips, looked back at seokbeom with question look.
“ well? ” he asked.
