I think the story in The Book of Azreal sounds interesting and it's quite good so far, but the writing.. oh my lord.. it's exhausting to read! I cant even put a finger on what it is, there is just so much information that is either irrelevant(imo) or repeated over and over again

I needed some light romance to read after only reading romantacy with ALOT of heavy plot and story and thought, let me go back and read more of the Bridgerton books.

What got my back into reading 1½ year ago was the first Bridgerton book, and i chose to read Benedicts story instead of Anthony, and wtf am I reading? It started out alright if abit fast, but the idea was cute and it has turned into a horror story like what is actually happening, i am so concerned for anyone thinking this is a sweet and acceptable story

There is still 60pages left of Kingdom of Ash i suppose, but Elide not becoming a full on witch and becoming immortal, instead of Lorcan giving up his immortality, is wasted build-up from Empire of Storm..

She heard the wind calling her in the tower, she might have not understood it at the time, but now she is surrounded by witches, someone might introduced her to how she might become a full witch by carving her broom? That is atleast how i understood it was done? Atleast for the ironteeth..

The whole "i will shorten my life, so i dont have to live without you" plot, is supposed to be seen as some sort of big sacrifice, but like... If my partner told me they would give up thier life to be with me if i died before them, I would probably be concerned, not happy? Just make her a witch, common!

Is it because the main couple's storie is over? Is it because their stories don't get fleshed out the same way as the main couple?(aside for Nesta and Cassian ofcourse)

Im tandem reading EOS and TOD atm, and when I have to stop reading about Chaol and Yrene I get alittle sad, cause I want more of them!

I personally feel like her whole big sacrifice was minimized by not letting her die..

I understand she was needed for ACOSF, but then why kill her if you're just gonna bring her right back?🙃
