Jesse had enjoyed his trip to Bora Bora and was coming back with the sun burn to prove it. He’d gotten off the plane and headed straight for AJ’s having parted ways with his wife as she had plans of her own with her family and friends. He was surprised that it was colder here than he had remembered and he regretted now bringing a jacket. He looked like someone’s crazy dad dressed in a button up shirt with a quirky print on it and some cargo shorts, but that had been more than enough in Bora Bora. He rung the doorbell and stepped back, smiling when AJ answers and following her inside.

“Hey. Yeah.” He answered, “You can probably see from how red my face is how much sun I got.” He laughed, hands in his pockets because he was cold, “I’ll tell you all about it, but first … I’m curious about what you possibly could have gotten me for Christmas.”

AJ smiled, having seen the devastating burn on his Instagram story a few days earlier. “I mean there is a such thing as sunscreen,” she teased, laughing. “Just make sure you take care of that before it starts to blister. Oh, yeah! Here, sit right over here,” she said, guiding him to the couch and making sure he was situated before she sat down herself. “Here we go,” she said, reaching for the gift and holding it out to him. 

“I did tell you when I asked you what you wanted that I would get you something cheesy and reminiscent of your past, so that’s what this is,” she said, patting the wrapped box with her hand. “But technically, you have two presents. Something I picked out for you and something you wanted. The present itself wasn’t much, just a cheesy clock with the single art of Right Where You Want Me that she had found after scouring through the internet. It was more for the sentiment of the thing, a lead in to break the tension before she told him what she was really offering.

Jesse: glad to hear the feeling is mutual!

Jesse: oh yeah sweet! I got you! We're coming back on Wednesday so i'll see you then!

AJ: of course! why wouldn't it be?

AJ: that sounds great! I'll see you wednesday :)

Jimin: I know Paris Hilton does, at least from what I was watching on her new show, so I guess that make sense haha.

Jimin: I think we'll always be partnered with Samsung until the contract is up at least unless management signs us another deal with Samsung and we have to continue to promote them haha.

AJ: oh I haven't seen that yet! I've been waiting until I have free time to watch it, I just haven't had that free time lol

AJ: That's crazy. My longest professional relationship was with Disney. Or at least my most intense and strict

It didn’t take much to convince Jesse to come over once his trip was over. She had promised him a late Christmas present, which sat wrapped on her coffee table, but she had an ulterior motive for extending the invitation besides just a gift giving session. She had been thinking about their situation for a while, at least as long as she had been away from him. And what she had told Aly when she first spilled the news was true: it wouldn’t hurt to try. At least if he was still willing to. 

When she heard the doorbell ring, AJ gently shushed Aly’s dog barking at her heels. At the very least, her sister wasn’t home, after AJ had convinced some of their mutual friends to take her out for a while. She was already slightly nervous, she didn’t need her sister’s looming presence making it worse. Finally, AJ opened the door, smiling at the man on the other side of the threshold. “Hey, there you are. Finally making a triumphant return from a glorious vacation. Here, come in,” she said, stepping aside for him before closing the door behind him. “I want to hear all about it.”

Jesse: Of course and it was good to hear from you.

Jesse: Oh shit yeah V-day is definitely rough. It's a bit of both, honestly. Just out here living our best lives.

AJ: and it is always good to hear from you

AJ: that's great! i'm happy for you

AJ: it's certainly been an adjustment, but i think that once she gets out on the other side of valentine's day she will start getting better. oh really?? New Year's adventure or just a fun vacation??

Jesse: Mine was pretty great actually. I hope the same for you?

AJ: Well at the very least I'm polite then, no? How about I call for New Year's.

AJ: Yeah! I mean it was Aly's first Christmas without her ex, so most of it was spent on making sure she was happy. I think we might go to my mom's ranch for New Year's. She's got horses and stuff like that so it'll keep her away from all the insanity

Jimin: I guess you can say that I'm that kind of famous haha.

Jimin: My iPhone I usually use to text, which my Samsung is mostly used for promotional use, plus to post on twitter and stuff.

AJ: i used to watch all those old youtubers when that was first becoming a thing and they would have more than one phone for work or personal. or depending on if they travelled a lot they would have a US phone or a UK phone, which is insane

AJ: that's still wild. are you guys always going to be partnering with samsung or is it a limited thing?

Alyson: those days have already been blocked out as "i'm staying in bed all day and avoiding the general public" days.

Alyson: then see where it leads...like i said, just be careful.

Amanda: we should go to mom's ranch for new years. horses and wide open spaces

Alyson: hooray, only two more months of suffering before i really start to feel okay again.

Amanda: i only say february because you still have to make it through new years and valentines day

Amanda: it's a trial for now. but i do kinda wanna see where things go

Jimin: No, we do have iPhones and we use them, but we can't say that, we basically have to act like we don't have them at all and that it's all Samsung.

Jimin: There's been a couple of times when we were live that I think it was Tae or it was Hoseok, I can't remember but they showed there iPhone, which was a fail, plus I can't remember who it was, but we've accidently tweeted off of the iPhone, had to delete the tweet and re-make the tweet on our android phone.

AJ: that's crazy, so you're TWO phones level of famous. that's the dream, honestly.

AJ: that's so crazy. at that rate i would just tweet everything from the mobile website and hope for the best

Sebastian: I feel like it wasn't that hard to be a one hit wonder in the 90s so maybe? Probably would have to be one of those boy band scenarios though.

Sebastian: Ahhhh, I might have to try this game out for myself sometime. Was Tom Cruise apart of this game? I think he'd have a killer voice.

AJ: i absolutely get boy band vibes from you, especially the kind where you all had the same haircut and wore the same outfit in different colors.

AJ: he was part of the game! he's what we call a freebie, since technically we know he CAN sing because of rock of ages but he technically never had a singing career

Alyson: yeah...i guess so. it still feels really weird. but thank you for being by my side..

Amanda: you just wanted to bully me :((

Amanda: it'll feel weird for a while. once you make it past february you can get some proper healing time

Amanda: a few weeks ago i was asking him what he wanted for christmas and he pulled some line which kinda set the whole flirting sensors off and obviously i was confused so when we were in Aspen (where we were roommates btw) we sat down with his wife on facetime and they explained everything to me

Amanda: i know it sounds insane but...i mean if its normal to them what's the harm, right?
