↣ — — — astrid hofferson possesses a curious nature,                   among other traits, which gets her in trouble                   as often as it  helps  her  discover  the  next                   wonderful thing the world has to offer.   this                   man isn't a berk native;    even if  she  didn't                   know  the  residents  of her home as well as                   she  does,    it would be easy to identify him                   simply by how OUT OF PLACE he looks.

↣ — — — maybe the axe hanging  from her right hand                   doesn't scream   ' friendly ' ,   but the tilt of                   her  head  and  the  little  furrow of her brow                   certainly aren't intimidating -- well, probably.

↣ — — — okay, so she isn't exactly happy. maybe she                   really isn't happy,  but she's been trying not                   to  show  it,   and  she  really  has  managed                   quite well up until this  point,    but  she  can                   only deal with  so  much  at  once  and  he's                   asking so many questions that she can feel                   herself tensing up with each syllable.

↣ — — — and astrid feels bad, because it isn't him, it's                   everything else and he  just  so  happens  to                   be there when she's reached her limit, and--

↣ — — — she's awfully good at  sneaking  up  on  him;                   she always has been,  since she can remem-                   ber, although she tries to use her powers for                   good -- you know, most of the time. but she                   can't be good all of the time, and besides, it                   isn't really much fun,    when it comes down                   to it, while the alternative is so entertaining.

↣ — — — she's smirking  even as she approaches him                   on silent feet trained for  hunting  wild  game                   from a young age. not laughing proves to be                   a  bigger  challenge than she expected,   but                   she manages to keep entirely inaudible  until                   she's right behind him and covering his eyes                   with  her  small hands and sounding so very                   proud of herself as she says:

                                                    ❝ ha! got ya. as usual. ❞

Don’t be the pretty girl. Be the kind of woman that brings a man to his knees. Become the one thing he should fear. Become the definition of bad ass and never let him rival in the fact that you’re a woman. You were created from fire and ice. Make it known.

↣ — — — okay, so she loves the suggestion. and more                   than that,   she loves the idea of contributing                   to the rules of a game she plans to win a few                   dozen times  --   at minimum.   momentarily                   overcome with her  excitement,    she  socks                   him in the arm,  bouncing a few times on the                   the balls of her feet as she does so.

↣ — — — her whole face lights up as she speaks, mak-                   ing  her  enthusiasm  even  more   abundantly                   clear than it was  before.    with  a  breathless                   laugh,  she collapses on the grass on her sto-                   mach to observe his work more closely.

                “Not yet exactly. Still figuring out a base                  structure and rules to it. But I’m completely                  open to suggestions and options if you’d like                 to make some.”

     A finger raises subconsciously to scratch at a nervous tick.        While it would rally a crowd to excitement to see an airborne       battle he didn’t want anyone to get hurt. 

                         Not too seriously anyways.
