What Grade am i at?
From looking at my work for this mock i would say i am currently at a C Grade because my work is relevant, thorough and pursues aims with understanding. I have a variety of ideas which helped narrow down to my final outcome which i am pleased with. I have included any research materials used and screen shotted some of my experimentation to show improvement.
In order to get to a B grade i need to be diverse, effective and consistent with my idea preparation. Furthermore i need to develop and refine my ideas more and include more techniques from artists which could improve my work.

An alternative final design exploring structure of lines and seeing if Portrait makes a different to the design outcome. I was influenced by Kacper Kiec through his line structure and shapes which helped create a more diverse background. Moreover i re arranged everything so that it gives a more creative artistic approach rather than a minimalistic design.

This is my adapted final design where i have added lines influenced by Michelle Thompson as well as re-arranging the silhouette buildings in the background to give the background a fuller look. Moreover i reduced the size of the writing at the bottom underneath the subtitles and increased the subtitle size so its easier to read and looks more bolder.

End Of Exam Evaluation
1. The choices of artists/graphic designers i chose were David Copithorne, Dan Mountford and Wolfgang Mothes and all artists definitely helped my come to a more refined final design as the range of techniques i tried helped me figure out which works and which doesn’t. David Copithorne likes to use shapes and lines to manipulate a picture so i included shapes and lines in my logo to add his style into my work. Dan Mountford’s double exposure technique was relevant to my idea so i decided to use a human structure which was my face and shoulders to create a similar idea where buildings were placed around the subject and related to the person. In my case the buildings were all from London and represented the city boy lifestyle i grew up in. Wolfgang Mothes introduced the black and white silhouette style which i adopted for my subject and also the buildings giving it a cleaner, bolder look.
2. Yes, i am happy with my outcomes i created in the 5hour exam because both outcomes link to my topic of human and natural structures and i had plenty of time to refine more and make sure my designs were the best they could be. The things that went well from my opinion is time keeping as i managed my time well and also i planned before therefore i was more confident in creating my outcomes in a shorter space of time. The things that didn’t go so well was choosing a colour scheme as at one point there was too much colour so i had to use more time to make things more subtle which i did in the end. My ideas were for sure adventurous as i thought outside the box and used Pinterest to gather ideas and put them together to create something unique. I believe i did manage a consistent standard of work through all aspects of final outcome and happy with the overall turnout.

3. Yes my client is clear as i visually displayed the company with the logo, “Shape Towers” and also wrote that it is an architectural company which is holding an event to showcase London Designers. The layout of my poster is landscape and i had a banner at the bottom with all the necessary information about the event and where it is as well as the company logo in the top right to clearly display who the client is. The reaction the viewer should get is how London designers shaped London with their talented ideas and how they can share these styles and techniques to the viewer. There is also a website link at the bottom where viewers can find out more about the event and why it is important to celebrate design in London.

4. The graphic outcomes are aimed at viewers who are interested in architectural design more specifically in London. The target audience would be young adults (18) to around middle aged people (40-50) as it’s for professionals who want to get into the profession so the design is slightly bold to catch their attention but also minimalist to provide a sleeker look. The fonts i chose were stylistic and minimalistic so they didn’t make the design too vague seeing as i wanted to engage with the audience and create interest.
5. Given more time in the exam i would of added more detail to the buildings on the subjects head as well as changed the colour scheme to create an alternative idea that may work better with different colours. Furthermore i would add more structure to the face because it would provide more detail and make the design more difficult and trickier. Finally i would of taken more photos of structural buildings mainly in London and added more buildings that would compliment the curves of the hair outline better which then makes it more interesting to admire.

Latest experiment towards final outcome design. Im going to change the background with a different texture from the buildings i have taken pictures of.
Here i have tried another texture of a building to see which background blends better with the overall design of the poster.

Company One: AllPosters offers a customisable frame, glass and picture to all your orders at a good price. They offer a variety of posters and include structures so this could be potentially my company i choose later on.
Company two: Similar to the company above it offers cheap posters, mugs, and other items which can have images pasted onto them. This suits my idea for posters because it has a range of categories so it can fit into any of them therefore expanding the company.

Reflection Post - pt2
After completing my experiments, i have concluded that Dan Mountford has inspired me to include the double-exposure technique into my work aswell as include human structures. Whilst doing my experiments i feel that i now have a range of different ideas to edit and improve meaning i have a broad choice to choose from for my final outcome later on.
I haven’t decided who my company is as of yet but will research into companies next who will want to advertise my poster and choose the one which is the most suitable.

Experiment Four Part 2: An adaptation of original piece by adding structural properties.
EDIT: (23rd March) Screenshots of editing photo for doyble exposure technique.
EDIT 2: (29th March): Now inlcuded adaptation to previous experiment. Added structural design to head rather than face.

Experiment One: This was inspired by Wolfgang Mothes and his Black and White approach to certain objects. I also took inspiration to use shapes from David Copithorne who enjoys using shapes to manipulate structures and how things appear.

Reflection Post
I will be designing a graphics poster based on man-made buildings with the inclusion of natural structures such as human body parts.
I have created a logo and company name since I wanted to make my poster more unique and personal.
With the inspiration of the three artists, I am going to develop a range of posters and choose one for my final design which best shows my ability.
I am going to be using a variety of techniques that I have been influenced by the three artists I chose to analyse as this will help shape my final idea. I will also use human structures such as neurones to link to the theme of structures aswell as include man-made structures so that it meets the brief.
