How to say 'I love you' without saying 'I love you'
But I thought of you—I saw you there, clearly, as if you were standing in front of me, watching me, and I knew I wanted to live, wanted it more than I’d ever wanted anything, if only so that I could see your face one more time.
Sweet happy ending for City of Glass
Max will remain alive in our hearts forever.
Into a new path to the next book.
It is the same as the city of glass. a kind of connecting link. I remember that Lilith will appear there and Sebastian will come to life. That's all. Nothing else. Like what did the rest of the pages go to....

“So, technically,” Simon said, “even though Jace isn’t actually related to you, you have kissed your brother.”
I love Simon )))

I still don't understand why Sebastian killed Max. After a couple of hours, everyone found out that he was a traitor. He could have just knocked him out. But no... 😭😭 Cry again
There they were, the Lightwoods: Maryse with her arms around Isabelle, who was sobbing, and Robert Lightwood sitting on the ground and holding something—no, someone, and Clary thought of the first time she had seen Max, at the Institute, lying limp and asleep on a couch, his glasses knocked askew and his hand trailing along the floor. He can sleep anywhere, Jace had said, and he almost looked as if he were sleeping now, in his father’s lap, but Clary knew he wasn’t.

This is the second time Jace has almost found out his real origin. Fate is so unfair
Hodge’s eyes rested on him [Jace].Clary could not decipher the look in them. Pleading, yes, but something more than that, filled with dread, or something like it, and with need. He lifted a warding hand. “Not you,” he whispered, and blood spilled from his mouth with the words.

Shadowhunters' life's so heartbreaking. Imagine that you say goodbye every day as if for the last time.
The saddest thing is that Izzy is thinking about it right before Max's murder. Cassie is so cruel.
I'm not ready to turn the pages...
As she [Isabelle] shoved seraph blades into the tops of her boots, her mind was on Alec and the look they’d shared as he’d gone out the door. It wasn’t the first time she’d watched her brother leave, knowing she might never see him again. It was something she accepted, had always accepted, as part of her life; it wasn’t until she’d gotten to know Clary and Simon that she’d realized that for most people, of course, it was never like that. They didn’t live with death as a constant companion, a cold breath down the back of their neck on even the most ordinary days. She’d always had such contempt for mundanes, the way all Shadowhunters did—she’d believed that they were soft, stupid, sheeplike in their complacency. Now she wondered if all that hatred didn’t just stem from the fact that she was jealous. It must be nice not worrying that every time one of your family members walked out the door, they’d never come back.

Aldertree: Let's make the Lightwoods scapegoats!
Simon: *thinks about Alec, Isabelle and even Jace*
Simon: I will not confirm your lies
Aldertree: You'll be sitting in the cells without blood
Simon: Still no
He is sooooo...🥺

Jonathan / Sebastian's first appearance!!
The black-haired boy beside her was more than striking. He was probably Jace’s height, but seemed taller, even sitting down; he was slender and muscular, with a pale, elegant, restless face, all cheekbones and dark eyes. There was something strangely familiar about him, as if Simon had met him before.
Really? Ahhah, maybe he looks like Valentine)))
So fan reread and notice such details

Portal&Clary
Clary's desire to get to Alicante is a little infuriating. Like she didn't think at all about the consequences when she was going to get there alone. Because of her, Luke got to Idris. And if it wasn't for him, she would have died altogether.
In general, in the story about the portal, Clary annoys me.

Jace stood watching Valentine without expression. "He's a vampire, that's true," he said. "But his name is Simon."
From mundane and bloodsucker to Simon. Jace×Simon dynamic 💚

How Cassie plays with coincidences
"She'd never say that," Clary whispered. "Jace isn't a monster. Neither am I."
"I wasn't talking about—" [It said Valentine]
It turns out that Valentine almost told Clary about Jonathan. I've never noticed it. If Jace hadn't burst into the room the next moment, the whole story might have turned out differently.
Oh, also Jace's rashness is to blame for the fact that he did not find out from Imogen that he was Herondale. He ran to fight and came across a demon, from which his grandmother saved him.

The best boys. Alec says such right things. It's a good thing he didn't come back to the ship
"Take my hands," Alec said. "And take my strength too. Whatever of it you can use to—to keep yourself going."
Magnus didn't move. "I thought you had to get back to the ship."
"I have to fight," said Alec. "But that's what you're doing, isn't it? You're part of the fight just as much as the Shadowhunters on the ship—and I know you can take some of my strength, I've heard of warlocks doing that—so I'm offering. Take it. It's yours."
And in the second book we have Malec instead of Clase😁 Like it. Waiting for the end of brother-sistet drama....
