Cleansing Spaces, Subjects, and Self
- best moon phases for cleansing is the third/last quarter, waning crescent and new moon
The first step to cleansing is physically cleaning. It shows care and respect for whatever is being cleaned. The action of removing dirt and grime is cleaning; the difference is that cleansing is the action of imagining or visualizing cleaning.

Shadow Work
The intention of doing shadow work is to look deep into your subconscious in order to connect with the truest innermost parts of yourself. This includes acknowledging the parts of yourself that you reject or suppress. Only when you can accept yourself fully can you understand, love and heal yourself.
"Unless you learn to face your own shadows, you will continue to see them in others. The world outside of you is only a reflection of the world inside of you." - Carl Jung

August Full Moon
aka sturgeon, corn and harvest moon.
It's a time of rebirth, the beginning of the harvest season. As we're busy gathering, preparing and setting aside for later, the nights grow longer. As the seasons shift, it will bring change and transformation. Sometimes we must shed old ways of life to make room for something new and better suited for us, much like the changing leaves on the trees in fall. We must look ahead and focus on the future. Banish excess baggage and protect yourself from the upcoming winter.

Moon Magic ☽ ✦ ˚ ⊹ Properties of the Moon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moon represents one’s emotional self and their needs in order to feel secure and nurtured. Often referred to as a Mother figure, the moon asks us to take care of our inner needs with a sensitive, empathetic and compassionate touch. She asks us to reflect on our emotional needs and take action where necessary in order to better oneself. Just like the phases of the moon, we have our own habits and cycles we go through so it’s important to be mindful of them and whether they’re helpful or harmful. The moon presides over the night, where many inner and subconscious happenings occur such as dreams and manifestations. Our inner workings have an impact on our lives, sometimes contributing to our habits. That’s why it’s important to look inside of yourself and take care of your inner self.

I think it is really important to praise yourself sometimes. You’re not the same person you were yesterday, you’re constantly learning from your mistakes & your experiences shape you into the person you are today. Be proud of yourself even with the smallest progress you’ve made so far.

It’s cool. Take a shower. Open the windows to let in fresh air even if it’s cold out. Listen to the wind rustling the leaves & the people walking and chatting. Clean something random to see that you can make a difference through action. This too shall pass
