This Was the Blackest Year by Far

1. It all started with Beyonce and her Superbowl performance, where she and her army of women dressed as Black Panthers made their fierce appearance blowing the internet. 

2.  The 2016-17 season featured a record high percentage (20 percent) of black series regular characters on broadcast networks, according to GLAAD’s recent “Where We Are” survey. So, now we have the broadest, most varied, provocative portrayals of African-American life on TV ever. This is definitely  what we can be proud of!  Orange Is the New Black, UnReal, Queen sugar, Insecure and black-ish are all just amazing.

3. Atlanta, FX’s existential hip-hop dramedy debuted as the most-watched basic cable comedy .

4. Don’t Forget About Luke Cage.

5. And of course Beyonce’s visual album

and her amazing sister Solange.

6.   National Museum of African American History and Culture opened in September encouraging black people to learn more about their past and about the most outstanding black people in American History.

Pray for those who are struggling to get up and pray for themselves, due to depression or for any other reason. Pray for those who want to pray but don’t have the heart to anymore. Pray for those who are guilty for missing their prayers and cannot find the love and willingness to pray for their Lord anymore. Pray for those who feel they are not good enough Muslims because of their personal barriers against praying.
