This hand-coloured postcard shows Tondaya Yachiyo of Osaka (left), dancing a Genroku Odori. Although the Genroku fashion revival began in Tokyo, the geiko (geisha) of Osaka appear to have taken the style to the next level of elegance and sophistication.
