DAY 20: May I present my gnome village 😊I’ve had this sort of set up for a while but it felt unfinished and I didn’t like the location. Today I moved it to in front of my deck and added more touches. It brings me joy 😊 My dad made some of it—the cabin, outhouse, picnic table, wood piles, boat, and canoe. I’ve been holding onto them for a while (an understatement because he died 24 years ago) and finally decided to set them up (with a few repairs). He meant for a plant to go in the back like I have it. It’s all so clever. DAY 14: I got a text this morning that one of my bestest forever friends was in Minnesota and did I want to get together… Um, YES! I had a great afternoon/evening hanging out with Robin! And the bonus of seeing her great kids and mom and step-dad (who also made a tasty supper!) DAY 10: Quite a bit of milkweed grows by my house and I do occasionally see monarch butterflies, but I rarely actually see a chrysalis. DAY 9: There’s a legend in our family that the huge willow tree that was in my parents yard was planted by one of my previous grandpas by him sticking a willow branch in the ground and it grew into a huge tree. It was beautiful and a great climbing tree! A few years ago it started dying and eventually had to be cut down. I saved some sticks and propagated them and one survived. I planted it last year in a pot and it grew in my house but then went sort of dormant. Kendrick helped me plant it outside last week and today I was so happy to see it budding leaves! DAY 6: This is sort of 2 things but both car related 🚙 1st, I needed my tires rotated and was going to have it done when I got my oil changed, but Erv offered to do it for me 🥰! 2nd, I saw this hack and it actually works! For cloudy headlights, spray Off bug spray on them and wipe off. Look at the difference!
