91 Days
Tumblr media
91 Days is probably one of the most interesting and best anime shows I have seen and I'll tell you why. It's a story that revolves around Angelo Lagusa who is from a town named Lawless in Illinois. The story takes place during Prohibition where liquor of any kind is forbidden, but is very lively consumed and sold among the black market.
Angelo seeks revenge against the Vanetti family who murdered his parents and little brother when he was a young child. Seven years later, after receiving a letter from an unknown person who specifies who the exact killers were, Angelo sets off to slither his way into the Vanetti family and befriend the oldest son, Nero. Throughout the show, Angelo and his childhood friend Corteo, get close to the Vanetti family through Corteo's special alcohol and slowly eliminate one person after the other.
Tumblr media
It's only twelve episodes so I finished watching it in two days. Honestly episode eight all the way until episode twelve were the best episodes in my opinion (since it's where most of the action takes place). I couldn't get enough of some of the characters, especially Angelo, Nero and the crazy yet kind of funny Fango. Trust me, he is quite the character!
Tumblr media
Overall I thought the animation, the story, characters, and pretty much everything was amazing. There were bits of humor, definitely blood shed (pre-warning, it does get somewhat bloody in a few episodes), there was a small scene of Fango and his mistress having a bit of dominatrix/sadism foreplay, and of course a great amount of action.
The friendship that grew between Nero and Angelo was well developed to the point I was rooting for a happy ending (I'm not going to spoil it for you so go watch it and see how it ends :D).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if you like mafia stories, action, don't mind some bloodshed, and a story where the main cast is all male, then I proudly recommend this anime to you! :P

All Out!!
Tumblr media
All Out!! is a sports anime that revolves around rugby. The main character Gion, is a short freshmen who becomes fasinated with rugby and wants to become the best player he can (He'll beat up anyone who dares to call him short). He joins the team with first year Iwashimizu, a very tall and timid young man who has experience in playing the game and learns to love it again thanks to Gion.
Tumblr media
I started watching this anime not long after it started airing and I must say I'm hooked. I was never a fan of rugby, but this anime makes the game really easy to understand and all of the characters are charming in their own way. I definitely love Captain Sekizan who is very bulky and intimidating, but his love for rugby and determination to work with his team to make it to nationals really makes him a lovable character!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The opening song of this anime reminds me so much of the songs used for Kuroko No Basket, it's really catchy and just pumps you up for the episode which is always a good thing, especially for sports anime. This show is very comical (every episode has so many laughable moments, I love it!) very heart-warming, and just pulls at your emotions in some way whether you want to cry or beat someone up haha.
Tumblr media
I recommend this anime for anyone who likes sports anime and hasn't heard about it or isn't sure whether to give it a try. The animation is nice to look at and it's currently airing and won't finish airing until mid-March (a total of 25 episodes).

Uta Kata
Tumblr media
Uta~Kata is definitely going to be among one of my favorite anime shows. Why? Well, I'll tell you. It revolves around the main character Ichika, a young school girl who is very serious with everything she does and cares about others more than about herself. One day, while looking for her cell phone in an old building on her school campus, she comes across a girl in the mirror named Manatsu.
Manatsu gives Ichika her cell phone back along with the precious charm on it, but makes a deal with Ichika that she'll have to call upon all of the djnns (Elemental Gods) in order for the stones on the charm to go back to normal. The story continues on with Ichika and Manatsu spending the summer days with Ichika's friends and her tutors Sei and Kai (who are twins). Whether they are in a summer program studying, at a fireworks festival or at the beach, Ichika finds out more about herself and about everyone along the way. She realizes that ever since she met Manatsu she's become more of a liar, something she hates and notices she starts to change for the worse.
Tumblr media
I've really enjoyed this anime and all of the characters in it. I honestly love Ichika because I feel like I can really relate to her. She's serious about her schoolwork, tries not to make people worry about her, wants to help everyone before herself, and has a crush on Sei (one-sided love is seriously tough). I also really love all of the other characters. Manatsu has a very care-free and energetic attitude towards everything, but at the same time she cares very deeply about Ichika and hopes for the best. Ichika's friends all have very different personalities, but are all very likable in their own way. (I especially liked Satsuki because she's very headstrong, a bit of a tomboy, and she also had a one-sided crush that turned badly. Again very I can relate ;-;) man I'm depressing haha).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, I strongly recommend this anime to anyone who likes an anime that revolves around magic, themes such as coming-of-age and slice of life, and doesn't mind the main cast to be female and some hints of shounen-ai and yuri.

Kuroko no Basket
Tumblr media
Kuroko no Basket is by far one of the best anime shows I have seen and manga I have read! I stumbled upon it years ago when I was randomly watching AMVs on YouTube and saw one that had some of the characters from Kuroko no Basket. After that I checked out the first season, fell in love and continued to watch the second season that was airing at the time :D
For those of you who have yet to watch the anime or read the manga, the story revolves around basketball and around high school teams that compete against each other in order to make it to nationals and win. Now here’s where the story gets interesting, Kuroko along with five other young men by the names of Akashi, Kise, Aomine, Midorima, and Murasakibara – in other words the Generation of Miracles, became rivals once they went to different high schools. These five were given the name due to their enhanced basketball skills and techniques. They were invincible.
Now let’s get back to Kuroko, the star of the entire story, who is also my favorite character. He was the sixth man in the Generation of Miracles because of his unnoticeable aura. Kuroko specializes in passing and uses his ability to help his team members while taking the opponents by surprise. I found it adorable how short Kuroko was compared to everyone else, his personality, lack of self expression and his eagerness to play basketball even if he wasn’t as great as everyone else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuroko becomes the shadow to Kagami Taiga’s light, the ace of their high school team Seirin High. Kuroko and Kagami make a great duo and I loved how their friendship developed from the first season to the third. They picked each other up when one was on the verge of giving up and did everything they could to keep their team strong. Of course I also loved all the other team members and their female coach Aida. Then again I love friendship in anime because they are always so close it makes my heart happy :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I give this anime a 10/10 because the story is amazing, the characters each have personality traits that make you like them or hate them or switch between the two, the animation is wonderful, and every episode keeps you wanting more. So check it out if you haven’t!

Junjou Romantica
Tumblr media
Junjou Romantica is definitely an anime and manga that I love. It was the anime that introduced me into the world of yaoi (haha xD) and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s a story that revolves around three different couples, Usagi and Misaki, Nowaki and Hiroki, and Miyagi and Shinobu :D (Well four couples, if you include Isaka and Asahina). Each couple has an interesting way on how they came together (Usagi being Misaki’s older brother’s best friend, Hiroki loved Usagi but could never have him, and Miyagi being Shinobu’s older sister’s ex-husband – yeah it’s great!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the humor and the feelings this story evokes because it can either have you laughing or crying in a matter of seconds. It has three seasons so far (I’m waiting for them to announce a fourth because come on, it needs one!) and the manga is still on-going and as great as ever! Now I always change who my favorite couple is because they are all so cute but when it comes down to it of course my favorite is Usagi and Misaki. They just have a funny relationship since Usagi is a man-child and Misaki has to deal with it (that’s what you call love).
Tumblr media
Over-all this is definitely an anime to watch and a manga to read if you like yaoi :D I strongly recommend it! And yes, I know about Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Hybrid Child too so I’ll do a post for those separately in the near future xD

You’re My Loveprize in Viewfinder (Finder Series)
Tumblr media
Takaba Akihito takes pride in working as a photographer and loves to get pictures of the latest scoop. While working one night, trying to take a picture of the infamous crime lord, Asami Ryuichi, Takaba ends up getting hit from behind, kidnapped and taken in by Asami. As the story progresses, these two come across each other and know for a fact that there is definitely a physical attraction between them. Not only is there a physical connection, but something about each other’s personality that captivates the other.
Tumblr media
I remember coming across the OVA years ago and came to like the story. I ended up reading the manga and getting really into it (probably caught up to it in 3-4 days haha). I was also really happy when they released the second OVA last year (which I didn’t find out about until early this year). Although I wish they would have made a real anime season out of the pages in the manga where Takaba is taken by Asami’s rival Fei Long and everything that happens during those chapters (at least that!). I mean the motion animation in the OVAs is okay, but I think it’s a story that deserves smooth flowing animation because so many fans love the manga.
Getting into the characters of course I’m going to say that I love Akihito and Asami to death o.o Starting off with Akihito, I think he’s cute and I love the way he takes on a challenge and isn’t afraid to fight. He does have his moments of weakness when he’s faced with the crime world, but in the end, he picks himself back up and always faces another day with a determined smile.
Tumblr media
Asami, on the other hand, is ruthless and fierce, which is why he is respected and feared. He’s incredibly good-looking (O////O) and I love it when he teases Akihito. I also like the way Asami shows a somewhat soft side whenever he’s with Akihito because when he’s around him he’s able to relax and let loose from his daily duties. This duo is definitely one of my favorite ships!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now the other characters such as Fei Long, Kirishima, Suoh, Takato, and many of those in the later chapters of the manga also have qualities about them that make you either love them or hate them which I think is great since I love rooting for people and disliking people in stories xD
So if you like yaoi, a story revolving around crime, the underworld, and a very intense love story, then I suggest this manga/anime for you :D Let’s hope one day they will actually make a season for it! I also can’t wait for the next manga update! Also the creator, Yamane Ayano is one of my favorite mangakas! Check out her other stories if you haven’t! I recommend them all!

Good or Bad Anime?
Hello followers! :D I just had a quick question! Since I made this tumblr to recommend anime shows, I was wondering if I should review anime that I don’t recommend too o.o I don’t know, there aren’t many I’ve seen that I’ve disliked but I thought it’d be interesting to also mention some anime that may not be worth the time. Hmm, let me know! Thanks and another anime recommendation will be posted soon! :)

To Love-Ru
Tumblr media
Yuuki Rito never gets a break. He’s always getting himself into trouble with girls around him when he finds himself in perverted accidents. With his heart still beating for his crush Haruna, Rito can’t help but wonder what he feels for Lala, the alien princess who he met and befriended in the first season. It’s not just Lala he needs to worry about, but her younger twin sisters, Momo and Nana, who have decided to travel to Earth to meet their older sister’s fiancé. As luck would have it, Momo and Nana find that Rito is a likable person, but display it in very different ways.
Not only does Rito need to worry about his new house-mates, but of a weapon in the form of a young girl, who is out to kill him whenever she gets the chance. It’s not an easy life for Rito as he deals with love, getting beaten up for being a pervert, and not knowing where his heart fully lies.
To LOVE-Ru is a hilarious anime that I have enjoyed since I first watched it years ago. Rito is a very likable character who has the worst luck when it comes to girls since he’s always getting himself into trouble. He ends up meeting Lala one day in his bathtub and ends up becoming her fiancé just because he accidentally grabbed her chest, which in her world, is a sign of engagement (poor Rito haha).
Tumblr media
Personally, ecchi anime is one I hardly ever watch but To LOVE-Ru is a show that I just have to watch. I’ve watched all of the seasons that have come out so far and they’ve been great. Yes the ecchi may be a little much at times, but the humor and the characters are what keep my attention and keep me wanting more. I notice that I’m rooting for Rito in every episode because he really is a nice guy that has bad luck. He always wants to help and even though he may not be the bravest at times, he will do whatever he has to do in order to keep his friends safe.
Tumblr media
When it comes to who I want Rito to end up with it’s a really tough decision. I like him with Haruna because he’s liked her for a long time now, but I really do want to see him with Lala too because she genuinely cares about him and they make a cute couple o.o Then there’s all the other girls he can be shipped with :O Let’s just say this is definitely a harem anime haha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if you like harem, ecchi, and comedy then this is the anime for you!

Kyou Kara Maoh
Tumblr media
Kyou Kara Maoh revolves around the main character Yuuri who discovers another world where he is made the king due to his black hair and eyes (the color is abnormal in their world). Yuuri comes across Conrad, a knight who vows to protect and serve him, Gunter, a man who worships him, Wolfram, Conrad’s half brother who ends up becoming Yuuri’s fiancé (haha xD), and many other characters who contributed into making the anime great from start to finish.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I’m more of a Yuuri x Conrad fan than a Yuuri x Wolfram fan :P I just love the way Conrad protects Yuuri (spoiler: The reason for this is due to Yuuri being the king, Yuuri possessing the spirit of an old close friend [well maybe they were more than friends…o.o Probably more than friends but never actually confessed their feelings…Hmm.], and because he told Yuuri’s mom to name him Yuuri).
Tumblr media
Anyway, yes I love Conrad. He is by far one of my favorite anime male characters. I love his personality, the way he can go from serious to easy-going, and how he wants to make sure everyone is safe.
           This anime has three seasons and five OVAS. I enjoyed all of it. It took me a while to actually finish all of it (since I’m not good with 25+ episodes in an anime, hence why I rarely see anime shows that go beyond 25 episodes o.o), but I finished it and I’m glad that I did. It was an interesting story filled with rich characters, a lot of hilarious moments, and some emotional and serious moments where I was hoping everything would be okay ;-;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if you like anime that revolves around fantasy, magic, action, and comedy, then you should definitely watch it! Also, it has hints of shounen-ai, so if you don’t mind that then definitely watch it! :D

Ai No Kusabi
Tumblr media
Ai No Kusabi is a science fiction yaoi story that revolves around the two characters Iason and Riki. Iason is the head of the Blondies who rule over everyone because of their blonde hair, perfect bodies and high intelligence. Riki, on the other hand, was raised and grew up as a mongrel in the slums, the lowest of the low in their world. He ends up coming across Iason after trying to steal money from a man and decides to sleep with Iason so he won’t owe him for not ratting him out to the police.
Tumblr media
Later on in the story Riki becomes Iason’s pet and has to do everything that is told to him by his master. Pets are usually breed, but Riki came from the slums and ends up staying with Iason for years which isn’t normal since a pet is discarded of after he/she reaches a certain age. I really love this story due to how Riki and Iason both know they have fallen for each other yet cannot be together because of whom they are. Iason uses his power as the master to express his love while Riki denies what he feels because he doesn’t want to be in love with the very man that made him a pet and because of his pride.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The light novel is a very good read and the old OVAS are also very good even if they’re old. The remake that was made in 2012 is amazing! O.O I’m just sad that they had to stop it at four OVAs since they ran out of funding ;-; maybe later on in the future hopefully. I also liked how the remake was closer to what happened in the light novel.
Tumblr media
If you like science fiction and yaoi then this is definitely the anime to watch and the light novel to read! :D

07 Ghost
Tumblr media
Let me start off by saying that 07 Ghost is among one of my favorite anime shows. There are so many reasons why I rank this show so high up on my list and I’m going to tell them to you. First of all, the story revolves around the main character, Teito Klein, who has the ability to use Zaiphon (a form of magic) and carries the Eye of Mikhail (a powerful talisman). He ends up escaping the military academy where he was training since he was caught eavesdropping on the conversation that the Chief of Staff Ayanami and his subordinates were having. His escape allows him to come across three bishops by the names: Frau, Castor and Labrador.
I really enjoyed the interaction between Teito and Frau since they first met xD They just have a certain bond that is hilarious and beautiful at the same time. I also loved how Frau would get into trouble with Castor since he would read inappropriate magazines and be a pervert.
Tumblr media
I don’t want to give too much away since some people may want to watch it, but I do want to say that this was a very touching and compelling show :D I loved Mikage’s and Teito’s friendship. They truly are the example of what true friends are like. I also loved how all of the characters had a certain purpose of being in the show.
Tumblr media
Even though Ayanami is the bad guy and he wants to hunt Teito down and get the Eye of Mikhail, I’m still going to admit that I liked him. Yes, he is evil and wants to hurt poor Teito, but seriously just look at him, his outfit, his face, his seriousness…o.o It’s hard not to like him! But my heart will always lean more towards Frau xD
Tumblr media
Anyway, if you want to see a 25 episode anime that has fantasy, comedy, action, tiny hints of shounen-ai (very tiny, but still there :P), and magic, then this is the anime for you!

Brave 10
Tumblr media
Brave 10 is an anime I found myself liking and hating at the same time. Why? Well I liked it because it was about ninjas, most of the characters were likable and the story itself wasn’t too bad. What I couldn’t really stand was the main female character, Isanami. Her character screamed damsel in distress and she was all over the main guy character, Saizo. Now, I understand that he is a very handsome guy (with a cold attitude) but I just didn’t like how clingy she seemed to be -__-‘ Maybe I’m just the type that doesn’t really like that type of female character.
Tumblr media
Anyway, forgetting about Isanami (if you like her then I’m sorry but I don’t xD), the story actually grabbed my attention after a few episodes in. My favorite characters out of the whole bunch were definitely Yuri, Anastasia, Sasuke and Rokuro. Yuri was the type of character that was always itching for a fight, especially with Saizo (which is why I loved him haha). Anastasia was the female character I liked because she was strong, fearless and liked to joke around with people. Sasuke was the shy type but he took his job as a ninja seriously and Rokuro was just nice to look at, smart and strong O__O (drowling starts now).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The anime lasts for 12 episodes and later on it’s discovered that Isanami has a hidden power that is probably the most powerful among everyone else (again I’m not going to bash on her, but still at least she has a power that makes her strong when she needs to be). So if you like anime about ninjas, that has action, funny moments, cool characters, and an interesting story, then this is the one you should watch :D At least once (like me). Oh and it has a few hints of shounen-ai :P so if you like that then yeah go watch it.

Bakumatsu Rock
Tumblr media
Sakamoto Ryouma wants everyone to know about his passion for rock ‘n’ roll. Determined, he goes around with his electric guitar, willing to show anyone he comes across how he’s just as good as the top idols they adore. Unfortunately, the country does not allow anything other than the Shinsengumi’s Heaven’s Songs. Writing or singing songs that are not one of Heaven’s Songs is forbidden and can lead to severe punishment.
Frustrated with the strict rules and brainwashing, Sakamoto does everything he can to show the public that the music he loves is the music that will bring them to freedom. He believes that there’s more than just Heaven’s Songs. Along with his bandmates Takasugi Shinsaku and Katsura Kogoru, Sakamoto won’t stop until rock ‘n’ roll is accepted in Japan. While they work hard to find places to perform and out shine the top idols, the three learn that there’s more to their passion than they thought.
Tumblr media
I came across this anime at random when I was trying to find some anime to watch. I already love the anime shows Uta no Prince-sama and Shounen Hollywood, so I thought watching another anime that revolved around music would be nice (and this time rock music! Whoo hoo!) Ryouma is the typical hyperactive, stubborn and determined character that a lot of other shows have, but I really loved his character. He wanted to show Japan his passion for rock ‘n’ roll and he’d find a way to play in front of people even if it was against the law.
Tumblr media
All the other characters such as Shinsaku, Kogoru, Okita, and Hijikata were all amazing in their own way too. Of course if you like fan service (-clears throat- me) then you’d love it when they start playing music since their shirts rip off and they’re left with a naked upper body o.o Anyway, I enjoyed the songs that they played and how it all ended in episode 12. The animation was also amazing! O__O This anime needs more credit and popularity!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if you like anime that revolves around music, has hot anime guys, great songs and a really fun and nice story, then I suggest watching this one :D

Super Lovers
Tumblr media
Super Lovers is a manga that I came across last summer and pretty much read in a matter of days. It’s a yaoi/shounen-ai story about a young man named Haru who ends up meeting Ren, a kid his mother adopts and who he later on takes on as one of his brothers (which includes his twin brothers too :D) As the story progresses Ren and Haru start developing feelings for each other (XD) but of course there are obstacles in their way. I’m really happy that they decided to adapt this story into an anime because I thought it was one that really deserved it.
Tumblr media
Isn’t that adorable! xD The anime just started airing this past Wednesday and will have ten episodes in total :D I can’t wait for next week’s episode!
Tumblr media
Here are the twins with the brother complex! :D I swear everyone loves Haru too much.
Tumblr media
So if you’re a fan of yaoi/shounen-ai then you should definitely check this manga and anime out! :)

Cuticle Tantei Inaba
Tumblr media
Imagine a world where there are half-human, half-animal people who live among normal people in society. Also imagine that one of the best detectives is half-human, half-wolf, and is on the look out for the worst criminal imaginable – a goat. Yes, a goat, you read that right. Cuticle Tantei Inaba has to be one of the most random and hilarious anime shows I have ever seen. The main characters, Hiroshi Inaba, Kei Nozaki, Yuuta Sasaki and Kuniharu Ogino are crime detectives who work together to keep the town safe from their enemy, Don Valentino (the goat).
I couldn’t stop laughing at all of the random moments this anime had to offer. There are scenes where Kei is showing his obsession and love for cats, where Yuuta is jealous of Hiroshi’s brother Haruka, where Hiroshi is taking care of his comrade’s daughter and so many more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I found the art style very welcoming and loved the moments when Hiroshi would transform into his badass half wolf form (he looked amazing with long hair *-*). Whenever the characters were in their chibi form were also very cute and hilarious moments I still can’t forget xD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you’re looking for a funny, cute and random anime, then I definitely recommend this one. It’ll make you laugh and maybe even make your day.

Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope)
Tumblr media
Sakamichi no Apollon is an anime that revolves around friendship and jazz music. The story starts off with the main protagonist, Kaoru, who moves during his high school freshmen year to live away from his father and with relatives in another town. Once he transfers to his new high school, he comes to meet the bad boy Sentaro, who he ends up befriending. Through Sentaro, Kaoru is introduced to jazz, which at first he doesn’t understand since he’s used to playing classical pieces, but eventually learns to love as he starts playing with Sentaro.
As the story continues Kaoru meets Ritsuko, Sentaro’s childhood friend, Yurikia, an upperclassman Sentaro develops a crush on, Brother Jun, and Ritsuko’s father who owns a record shop.
Tumblr media
While I watched this anime, I always found myself getting attached to each of the characters. The friendship that they all created through music was something amazing to watch happen from one episode to the next. I also found my heart having its moments of heartache due to some sad situations that occurred. [Spoiler: Kaoru starts to like Ritsuko but learns that she likes Sentaro]
Tumblr media
(That’s true friendship right there! xD)
There were a few love triangles among the group which I thought was really interesting (I love complicated love triangles haha). So the anime had a great balance of friendship, love problems, and music. Once the anime ended, I thought the last episode was the type of ending that gave me a satisfied wrap up of the entire story. Everyone has grown up, gone their own way, and eventually come across each other after not seeing each other for years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if you like anime that revolves around friendship, love, and music, then this is the one to watch!
