Despite being an incredibly talented chakra user, and the first to inherit the Wood Style naturally in generations, Ume would rather tend to the plants at the Yamanaka flower shop than be a shinobi.

He resents his father for walking out on the family, and refers to himself as a Haruno and not an Uchiha.

Ironically, his sister is always doing dangerous stuff to try and awaken her sharingan, and yet Ume has already acquired his through sheer HATE for his father. Despite the fact that he would rather not have it at all, of course.

Ume appears to be more calm and friendly than his sister, but deep in his heart he harbors an extreme temper like that of his mother, one that he keeps buried deep inside. (very similar to the Inner Sakura gag that was abandoned in the OG Naruto)

Made a few personal design tweaks like curled eyebrows to reflect her antennae and just more contrast in the design overall- Especially on the backpack.

Something I did last week in about two hours. This is why I should be in charge of the Invader Zim reboot.

Pretty sure he sleeps in Bestest Friends in some sort of weird chamber in his underground lair. But later on (in Mega Doomer I believe) he makes fun of Dib for having to sleep as if he doesn't have to himself.

Bestest Friends was a super early episode so I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a random scene that they chose to retcon later.

They can be knocked unconcious, we see Zim pass out in the Halloween special when he gets shot into the concrete and breaks his neck lmao.

He mentions that he'll destroy Dib as soon as his "skeleton stops being broken" which implies regeneration.

He also appears to briefly go unconcious to regenerate in "Walk of Doom" to heal his eyes after they get melted in the sun.

He also basically hibernates in one of the quarterly issues in a sensory deprivation tank, but whether or not that counts as actual sleep is up for debate.

My personal best guess is that sleep is something they can do conciously to regenerate or maybe even just for the sake of it. But they definitely don't have to sleep every night like humans do.

But that's just off the top of my head.

Hold on I just realized that the Zim doesn't have a bedroom. Where does he sleep? I'm assuming Gir probably sleeps on the couch. And if he does in fact have one, does the bed have a little hole in it for his pak, because I am assuming he can't really sleep on his back because of it.

Does he ever have a room in the comics? I've only watched / read a few of them

Sonic the Hedgehog

With a surge of emotion and a hint of courage, the blue blur is on the scene! His name is Sonic, the new hedgehog making a scene on Christmas Island who's making his mark out of thin air. If Nicky is docile, quiet, and bookish, then Sonic is the exact opposite. He can be loud, impatient, and has quite a temper with people he can’t stand or things that provoke him. While taking the "hero" business kind of seriously when trouble's afoot, he is a total child by heart. But, just where in the heck did he come from?! Just...WHO is he?

Age: Unknown, but in appearance looks like a teenager.

Birthplace: Unknown

Likes: Showing off his skills, throwing himself into danger for thrills (In the time that he has), being really curious about…a lot of things

Abilities: Can run at supersonic speeds in a second, can also use said supersonic speed as a weapon by curling up into a ball and knocking himself into his foes

Sonic is an interesting one I wanted to redesign because initially, I had him looking just like his actual classic appearance in the games, but then I decided to make this iteration more personalized, like a dichotomy to Nicky. So I gave him a slightly sportier look and as well as changing his eyes a little for story reasons I can't get into yet, sorry!

Okay I don't mean to be controversial but I sometimes feel like the only one who hated the opening arc of the Zim comics with the Gargantis Array. It was excessively cruel even by the show's standards and seems like they just wanted to humiliate Dib by making him fat. It's hard to ignore that they partially reused it for the movie. It's not even a case where he has it coming, it just feels like extreme bullying played for laughs and it's uncomfortable. Thoughts?

I feel you there, it's a valid opinion. As for me personally it didn't bother me too much because it was exaggerated to the point of cosmic horror which I found kind of humorous.

Like, Gaz had to wear a hazmat suit and Dib literally became half chair. IMO it was less of a matter of being hateful and more of a joke about how insanely obsessed Dib is, and the absurdity of how he's treated like a radiation level threat.

I found it a bit too absurd to take seriously which is usually how I feel about the crueler jokes in Invader Zim.

That being said everyone perceives media differently, so you're well in your right to feel uncomfortable with those jokes- Especially if you're particularly attached to Dib (I'm more of a Zim brain myself).

Thank you for the ask! I have lots of thoughts on these comics and this series believe me.

And there are times I do find the Dib torture uncomfortable so I get it. (Bad Bad Rubber Piggy and Gaz Taster of Pork come to mind)

Okay I finished it- It was really great actually. It was short but well done and strangely investing. I heard this was a backdoor pilot of sorts for these characters?

I genuinely want to see more of this world BUT EVEN IF WE DON'T I'm glad we got this at the very least. It's very charming and I highly recommend it!

@zeddyzi's page has free access to the game with optional donations which is AWESOME. Not like I have any influence over anyone BUT if I did I would send a ton of people her way.

I will continue to THINK really REALLY hard and use my potential psychic powers to influence the masses to succumb to quality
