One trial two real stupid peckerheads...
David Pecker is the former CEO of American Media, Inc., which published the National Enquirer during the period when it executed so-called “catch and kill” schemes to bury negative stories about the horndog Donnie Trump boning numorous women.
One of the prosecution’s central goals will be to persuade jurors that Trump orchestrated the cover-up — and falsified his company’s records — as part of a scheme to influence the 2016 election, rather than merely to avoid personal embarrassment. Connecting the conduct to the election will help prosecutors maintain the charges against Trump as felonies, rather than misdemeanors. And Pecker may be a key witness on that point.
He is expected to testify about his efforts to aid Trump by brokering these deals, including any conversations he had with Trump or Cohen, as well as any communication he had with those being silenced — namely Daniels, or her representatives.

Trump is the wild card here. The former president told reporters on Friday that he “absolutely” would take the stand. But it’s far from clear if he will stick to that plan.
His lawyers may be reluctant to call him as a witness, given his well-known credibility issues and his tendency to bloviate on the stand. But he may not be able to resist speaking in his own defense. That was true in both the recent civil fraud trial against him and in this year’s federal defamation trial in a lawsuit brought by the writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump testified in both of those cases — and he lost both cases badly, with a pair of civil judgments totaling over a half-billion dollars. This time around, losing could mean something even graver: the prospect of prison.

Support any progressive media you find. If you have a progressive station in your area contribute to them if you can and support any advertisers they have. Subscribe to Youtube channels like the Meidas Touch and Jesse Dollemore and many of the others bringing alternative and progressive viewpoints. If we show them there is a demand for it progressive media will grow. Stay informed and vote blue all the way through.
The main reason the GOP has so much power in Congress is that in low-population rural states the only voices on the radio are promoting Republicans. There are over 1500 rightwing commercial radio stations, and around 900 religious nonprofit stations, all blasting out a pro-Republican message 24/7. They quite literally reach into every nook and cranny — no matter how rural or obscure — of America.
On the progressive/Democratic side, there are only a handful of large commercial stations across the nation, almost entirely located in big cities like Chicago and Minneapolis. SiriusXM, which also carries my program weekdays from noon-3 PM ET, is the only national alternative for progressive talk radio, but requires a satellite receiver and a paid subscription.
Similarly, the giant corporations that control the majority of search and social media have a pronounced rightward tilt. When Google stopped spidering Alternet.org about a decade ago, for example, it so wiped out that site that they had to sell themselves to an entrepreneur.

Trump Claims "Publicity" Makes Fair Trial Impossible, Asks For "Indefinite" Delay, then posts more than 70 times to truth social over the weekend...
MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin explained, “They’re asking for an indefinite postponement of the trial on the basis that the pretrial publicity surrounding Donald Trump and his alleged criminality is so suffuse throughout New York that it’s impossible for him to get a fair trial, they say, until that publicity abates.”
Rubin points out that Trump, who posted to his social media platform Truth Social more than 70 times this weekend, “is a great generator of his own pretrial publicity.”
