When the wedding came around, we decided to host it at the park. Not only because it was a lovely day but there was no idea we could fit our guest list in our little apartment.

Along with my friends, we invited both mine and Imran's families. They lived all the way in Henford-On-Bagley and he had moved out after graduation so it had been a long time since he had last seen them.

Mai, of course was happy to see her Uncles and Aunt and Step-Grandmother again along with meeting her new step-extended family.

The ceremony itself was nice, Imran kept his vows short and simple.

And well we were married.

Huh... this didn't really feel as different as I was scared it would be.

We got a small wedding cake with cupcakes.

When it came to cut the cake... I may have... well... let's just say my usual clumsiness picked a bad time to show itself.

Imran sighed and facepalmed but I could see the laugh underneath. Don't worry, he also got me a bandaid afterwards.

Try number 2 thankfully went better.

And the reception was the most fun I've had with a party in a long time.

One night, I came home from work with some big news. I had planned on sharing it over breakfast but to my surprise, Imran was wide awake on the couch when I opened the door.

"Hey, been waiting for you. Got a surprise for you."

"What a coincidence, so do I."

"Ha, okay. You go first then."

I then told him that agents from the Cooking Channel came to visit the bar, apparently the boss had applied to be featured on a show about popular bars.

Apparently I made quite the impression on the crew and they asked if maybe I'd like to be in or at least help with some of their other programs.

Never in a million years would I have expected to be than just an average bartender, I'm gonna be a celebrity!

Imran was surprised to hear and couldn't help but worry a little about what fame could lead for us. But I assured him that while I was thrilled to be on TV, I wasn't gonna go buy a condo or hang out with the rich and famous.

"So, I told mine, what's your surprise?"

He took a deep breath.

"Macie... I've loved you for a long time. Even when we weren't really a thing anymore, I still cared about you. And I'm so happy that you gave me... us another chance despite your own worries. So I want to ask you..."

"Would you... like to marry me?"

You know... if someone had asked me that a decade ago, I would have said no and maybe even broke things off right there and then but... so much had changed since then

I admit... there was still some nervousness but... I still said yes.

I guess it shows that while I'm still Macie Lovewell, I'm also not that same girl who moved to San Myshuno all those years ago.

Catherine "Kitty" White and her cat Marmalade arrived to Henford-on-Bagley in the middle of a thunderstorm! This is my attempt at the Sanrio Legacy Challenge by @jasminesilk.

It took a few days for Imran to get his things from his old home but he settled in nicely.

It was quite a pleasant surprise for Mai when she realized "Mr. Imran" was sitting with us for breakfast and I explained to her that he was going to live with now.

She was absolutely thrilled.

"Does that mean you and Mr. Imran are married now?"

Imran just let out an awkward chuckle as I explained to Mai that there was more to getting married than moving in.

From there, we started settling into a routine. On my days off, we'd go to that rec center in the suburbs and while Mai got to play, Imran and I would do some yoga and other things including my juice making hobby.

Obviously with Imran around, I didn't need to take Mai all the way to Lan, though we did still keep in touch. So Imran spent plenty of time bonding with Mai when I was out working.

While I trusted Bayani and Lan to take good care of Mai, I still sometimes couldn't help but worry about her while I'm gone.

But from how happy she always seems when I come home and how both she and Imran would talk about what they did that day, I could feel my worries start to fade.

For New Years, I invited Imran over to celebrate with me and Mai.

Of course, Mai was being very... blunt about how she saw our relationship. I swear I could see poor Imran blushing a few times.

Mai looked very proud of herself for that.

... *Sigh* Just like me.

Anyway, we just hung out after dinner, waiting for the New Years countdown. I made Imran and myself some drinks while Mai got some hot chocolate.

Eventually it was time and we all shouted and celebrated when the clock hit midnight.

But immediately after, it was time for a certain little girl's bedtime.

Imran went to Mai's room with us and watched as I tucked her in.

He then said that he had something to ask me.

We stepped out of the room and that was when Imran took my hands.

"First, thank you for inviting me. I had a lot of fun with you and Mai today."

"Of course. Mai adores you, ya know."

"Speaking of... about what she kept saying over dinner."

"Oh don't mind her. She's a kid and you know how kids have such a simple view with love and couples and all that."

"What if I said that... I kinda like the idea?"

"Huh?"

"Look, I know both of us have some... issues but... maybe we could at least live together and maybe go from there? I mean, no pressure! And if it doesn't work out, I can always leave. I just... at least wanted to ask."

I really thought about it. Along with thinking about how he was there for me after dad died, how he didn't judge me when I told him about Mai, how much she liked having him around...

"You know, what? Yeah, let's give it a shot."

"Really?"

I nodded and pulled him into a kiss.

I don't think I've ever shared this sim before. She was made for a random CAS kind of challenge, I don't fully remember. But I came up with the idea of her being a Grace Jones kind of music star so I thought she'd be a good fit for the prompt.

Dear Diary, hi! My name is Mai Lovewell, I live in an apartmint in San Myshoeno.

Today is Winterfest so mommy got me you for a gift.

We also got to look at the big Winterfest tree in the park, we looked at the pretty giant decorations, and sing holiday songs. Mommy's the best mommy ever!

Later when we got home, mommy invited her family over for a big dinner.

I kinda remember Grandma Rita from when I was little little but this was the first time I got to meet my aunt and uncles since they kinda live far away.

Uncle Trevor lives with Grandma Rita while Aunt Erika and Uncle Arterow are from somewhere far far away where it snows all the time.

Mommy also invited Ms. Kaydence and Mr. Imran. Ms. Kaydence is mommy's best friend, she said they were friends even when they were little!

Mr. Imran is also mommy's friend but I see them sneaking kisses when they think I'm not looking. I bet you that they're gonna get married one day!

Mommy made a big ham dinner for everyone along with some salad yucky! But the ham was yummy and everyone aggreed cause they all said what a good chef mommy was!

Grandma Rita gave mommy a hug and said something about Grandpa. I don't remember a lot because I was just a baby when I met him but mommy and everyone always talks about how nice he was.

Mommy snuck another kiss to Mr. Imran. They're gonna get married! 💖💖💖

Oh and after everyone left, mommy made me some hot chocolate cause I'm too little to drink coffee with everyone.

I think I'll stop here, it's almost bedtime. But I'll write some more later!

So while Mai was at school one day, I invited Imran to just hang out for a little bit.

I told him about how I've been trying out juice making at a rec center in the suburbs. Even offered him my first successful creation.

He politely declined but said he was still happy to hear that I was doing well.

At some point, we inched a little closer on the couch and held hands...

And one thing may have led to another...

But thankfully for both of us, I could hear Mai coming out of the elevator in the hall and Imran and I stopped before things got a little... steamier.

I made bit of a big deal out of saying bye to Imran and thanking him for coming over.

...I may have played it up a little too much considering the expression on Mai's face as she came in and said bye to Imran.

As soon as the door was closed, Mai went over and plopped down on the couch next to me.

"So when are you and Mr. Imran getting married?"

"M-married!? Now why would you think of a silly idea like that?"

"You're always happy when he's over and he's really nice and you both act like my friends' mommy and daddies."

...How does one explain commitment issues to an elementary schooler?

Well I did my best I guess.

"That's... a very big decision for two people to make, sweetie. And mommy would need to think about making a big big decision like that and so would Mr. Imran."

Thankfully Mai seemed to accept that explanation.

"But for right now, mommy's perfectly happy with just my little girl.~"

"Mommy!"

"Hee, hee. Now, don't we have a school project to work on?"

Yeah, dusting her off from my gallery. Honestly I'm not much of a beach person so that last picture would be an accurate picture, lol.

Mai is turning out to be quite creative and imaginative. We've started going to the museum on my days off so she could doodle on their drawing stations. I admit I may have also been inspired a little to get creative myself, it's a nice break from studying cocktail recipes anyway.

Also to my relief, she seems to be building a strong sense of responsibility. She does her homework without me nagging her. But it isn't like she's a little adult, she still needs her mommy's help sometimes. Whether it be homework...

Or spraying away the monster under the bed.

That said, I also noticed that while Mai likes watching cartoons and the Wizkid shows, she's also gotten interested in all those home improvement and house renovation shows.

Maybe she likes seeing the different houses and it's another way to show creativity, I guess.

Not like things get inappropriate on those shows anyway so I let her have her building fun.

During the middle of winter, I drove out to take Mai to her new babysitter, Nan Sungad.

Nan was quite friendly and I could certainly see how and why she came recommended by Bayani.

When I picked Mai up later that night, she told me how nice Nan was to her.

And told me all about how she took her to the nearby park where they had a public tree house and building blocks, and drawing stations.

Needless to say, I went to bed, very relieved.

Birthday time for my little girl!~

I invited Imran and Kaydence to come celebrate if only so it didn't feel so lonely.

I just can't believe Mai's getting so big, she's gonna starting school soon!

I'm just thankful that she's taking more after me than her father at least in personality. While she's not as much of a, as dad used to put it, social butterfly as me, she certainly has the confidence and self-assurance.

Good. No one is ever tell my baby that she isn't good enough for anything.

I was given a few days off after scoring a promotion. So I spent it with the sims I care about.

Even if there wasn't a lot of toddler friendly stuff available, Mai and I still found our own fun at the park.

I've also been trying to politely end things with some of my past flings. I really didn't want a repeat with Manabu and Diego. Thankfully everyone else was a lot more understanding than those two...

That said... I have been spending more time with Imran. And I mean... technically we never broke up, we just drifted apart after I moved to the city. But still... he was always sweet to me and he's said that he's trying to move past his past clinginess.

And I can't deny that he and Mai ended up getting along wonderfully.

I admit that I was a little worried considering how Mai usually treats strangers but she warmed up to Imran pretty quickly. Showing off one of her toys, talking to him as much as she could, and even playing with him.

It's... I'm gonna need some time to think about it... Whatever "it" is.

She's sporting some stretchmarks from her unexpected pregnancy but that doesn't stop her from showing her stuff in this cute bikini.

I had a chat with Mai's nanny, Bayani. He mentioned to me that with Mai's birthday coming up soon, he wouldn't be available since his services only covered newborns, infants, and toddlers.

"That said, I do understand your job has you working long and late hours. I have a friend that could help out but you'd have to come to her rather than her coming here."

"Hm... "

"I absolutely understand the worry but I can assure you, Lan's a good sim and you can trust her with Mai. Not to mention, Mai would have more to do in her neighborhood than here."

"...Well I suppose if you vouch for her and it would be better than just leaving Mai home alone all night."
