I neeedddd to know more about Diane. I keep thinking about this from the official character guide.

I want to highlight this quote in particular:

I think we have a lot more to learn about Diane.

When it comes to young Rick, I believe he was a lot like Morty, which would explain why he's so much harder on him.

In my opinion the yellow shirt in his childhood memory here is meant to parallel Morty's.

The fact the car sounds like Diane drives me crazy.

Like I imagine Rick spending time travelling through the vastness of space alone; and he just kind of rattles off to the car sometimes to fill the silence. And sometimes the car replies. He defnitely seems to have given it Diane's sass.

The thought of Rick alone in space with only the robotic voice of his dead wife around for company.

which means the dynamic of the family would forever be changed irrevocably but imo not necessarily for the worse
