Give me little boy who can barely get one sentence out without tripping over and stopping after every word.

Give me a scarred boy who is so nervous in the new school he avoids talking to everyone where possible.

Give me Remus Lupin with a really bad stammer in classes, meals and social interactions.

Then give me a Remus Lupin minding his own business in the boys dormitory, who then stubs his toe badly on the bed post.

Give me an 11 year old boy with a stammer who lets out the most eloquent, coherent and violent string of curse words one has ever heard.

No stammer, just air turned blue from all the swearing.

Then give me the most shocked slow clap ever from one Sirius Black and James Potter.

5 years old Remus, crawling under his bed after his first transformation, screaming at the top his lungs for his mother, yelling at her "please, please make the big bad wolf go away he hurts me !"

8 years old Remus, breathing heavily with a high fever before a full moon, asking his parents to make it all stop, that he can't stand it anymore.

10 years old Remus, crying in front of the mirror while trying to hide his the new scar that was crossing his face with his mother's makeup.

11 years old Remus, shaking with relief as Madame Pomfrey rubbed his injuries with a Healing Potion his parents couldn't afford.

12 years old Remus, scared to death after his friends discovered the truth ashamed and terrified that they'll leave him because he's a monster.

15 years old Remus, feeling better than he ever has been in his life, the full moons no longer being the most horrible moments of his existence.

17 years old Remus, worried, wondering how he was going to survive outsjele Hogwarts, knowing no one would hire a werewolf.

21 years old Remus, broken, lifeless enduring his first full moon all alone for the first time in years, wishing he wouldn't survive it this time because he alreaay had lost it all.

33 years old Remus, waking up on the Hogwarts's Express with a headact looking up to saw James with Lily's eyes staring at him.

Maybe this was just a nightmare after all.
