dont panic. you are now in a situation where complacency is death so it is very important to stay calm

talk to as many vampires as you can. make connections, make acquaintances, get information

everyone older than you is lying to you. this doesnt mean their information is useless. it means theyre telling you what they want you to believe. everyone wants you in their club, and this is how you learn how things work

figure out what youre good at and make yourself irreplaceable. remember everyone else is old as fuck: being handy with computers and phones is already an invaluable skill

if you find a faction you agree with, stick with them. otherwise, play the field as long as you can get away with. you can get away with quite a lot if you can pass it off as "oh im young and confused" if you have the right people willing to cover for you (like a good sire)

if you dont have that kind of cover, the best plan is to run like hell. everyone older than you is stronger, more powerful than you can possible imagine. you cannot fight, you have to run

being a vampire sucks and its good to get accustomed to doing really uncomfortable things as soon as possible. you will have to hurt people to survive

humans, vampires, friends, enemies. theyre all tools to help you survive. befriend, manipulate, fight, persuade. whatever you are confident in. if youre not confident, learn to fake it, fast

be paranoid. never stop being paranoid. paranoia will stop you getting staked

you are going to be okay. itll hurt like hell but you will survive. i believe in you.
