everytime someone talks abt misogyny in fandom and how no one can talk about female characters, there's inevitably some person that goes "yeah every single female character to ever exist are all written terribly and thats why no one focuses on them 💔 such a shame 💔" then you go on their account and their favorite character is a male bg character with 3 speaking lines and they've made like 7 AUs so that man can be shipped with himself
#this is literally me screaming at every one of my friends about the double standard#people are nice and try to be understanding so I had my friends a few times say this point in the 'thats what this person said“#trying to be understanding and empathetic#DON'T FALL FOR THESE LIARS THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANY INTROSPECTION AT ALL GIRL#this point was said by one person that was trying to talk about women characters being under written#but for sure didn't know about micro fandoms for characters that lets face it have no character so become glorified oc's#which every person that never gives a women character a second thought jumped on to explain why they never seem to CARE#yes there's a conversation to be had about how men characters outnumber women#that stories with just men characters are super common#and how women characters aren't taken seriously in story or out#but you can NOT be staying this anymore if someone criticise you for only caring about the men characters or WORSE#being reductive shallow and even unnecessarily harsh towards the women characters automatically#just face you have sexism in you and need to work on that!!!!!
