Azul Ashengrotto l'Incompétent 🐙

I think calling Azul incompetent is one of his worst fears as he does absolutely EVERYTHING to look competent in front of people. But when you catch him losing control of a situation, he immediately panics and shows his genuine expression (sorry for messing up with you like that Azul).

Anyway I had so much fun drawing his facial expression (this is usually my favorite part to do alongside sketching). There's so much panic in his eyes it was so funny to create 🤭

BONUS: Had another idea of drawing the tweels behind the scenes:

Floyd laughing and Jade observing Azul failing at his duties and not trying to laugh too loud but bro is shaking so haaard he's gonna explode.

While the tweels fufu about Azul, nobody's at the Mostro Lounge taking care of the customers but don't tell Azul.

Ace Trappola le Maladroit ❤️

I'm back with a new artstyle: the sketchy one. It's been a while I wanted to create drawings that look like sketches from an artbook and I'm pretty happy with the result. Thanks to Ace for being my guinea pig. I was inspired by this one:

As the Tapis Rouge event is running atm, I’d like to sketch the whole gang with this art style.

Here is an animation I did of Vil, Jamil and Azul's reaction based on Ace being all clumsy. I had lots of fun doing it and yes I couldn't resist adding HIM :

Mr Azul Ashengrotto ft. the Beautiful Queen magazine

When I saw Azul with the new outfit of Luxe Couture event I dropped everything I was working on to focus on him. I had a crush on the vibe that outfit gives him. Those round shapes such as his glasses and haircut make him look softer and less intimidating somehow.

Anyway I decided to draw him as if he would pose for a magazine cover. He wouldn’t go too extravagant for the pose because he has to look professional and also because he’s a bit shy in front of a camera (but that’s part of my interpretation of his character). I like to know that despite this whole show he's giving to seem so confident, his body language sometimes betrays him a bit and let insecure and sensitive Azul come back briefly. But again, that's how I imagine Azul.

Happy 4th anniversay Twisted Wonderland 🥳

I’ve been knowing Twst only since summer 2021 and I didn’t expect to love the universe and the characters that much. I also got into digital painting in 2021 and they (I mostly mean the octatrio 😭) helped me to practice and improve my art since then. Maybe one day I’ll show you my art improvement…

Anyway can’t wait to see the next updates for the game in the future (even tho I still have a few things to catch up) and thanks for inspiring me and keeping my mind distracted (especially during that period).

I tried to make a more dynamic pose for Grim and practice this as well. He looks like a warrior who fought ingredients in order to make that tuna cake. What a heroic boiii, thanks Grim 💙

I was drawing my illustration for Azul's birthday and I suddenly felt the urge to draw a laid-back Azul because I just wanted him to feel totally secure and peaceful in his environment. Behind this all evil controlling mafia boss, there must be a soft Azul well hidden 🥺

I just imagine Azul sitting on a couch and crossing his legs in a very relaxed way because I noticed he usually crosses them in a "formal" way. Of course he cannot resist reading one of his last contracts and he's holding his favorite coin. I assumed these are items that make him feel in his comfort zone. Ok the open shirt and the loose straps I added them for the pleasure of the eyes. Evil Azul as well...

As he seems to control every aspect of his life in order to look impeccable mostly in front of people around him, I just assume this must be an exhausting lifestyle to keep up on long term.

Through this illustration, I just wanted to express that performing and being at the top all the time is mentally exhausting (and yes I might be referring a bit to myself as well…) and enjoying life just the way it is without planning or controlling everything is also important for your mental health. Anyway, I am going very deep in the meaning of this drawing but as weird as it might sound, it made me feel better drawing Azul with all this in mind. These are quite the things I’ve been dealing with lately and I needed to share it.

Another version of Azul with a different gradient map I like and a small animation I created with Azul feeling a bit alone after an exhausting week:

Through this animation, I assume Azul might have his moments where he can relax a bit more but would do it hidden from the others even the twins. So what’s better than your own Tsum appearing and giving you the love you deserve. Yes Azul, you’re enough as you are without performing all the time you precious baby boy.

Draw this in my style: NRC Master Chef Judges version ✨

Hey there, long time no see…! It's been a very long time since I wanted to draw the judges from the Master Chef event so there it is. Their facial expressions are chef’s kiss and I thought it'be be fun to do it in my artstyle so TA-DAAA.

While drawing, I noticed that Azul's hair was on the wrong side so I corrected it. Same goes for the magical pens that are on the wrong side on the reference. Guess I love these silly and controlling fishes too much to not care.

Here is a close-up of their faces and I definitely had so much fun drawing them in my style.

I might turn these illustrations into cards to collect and draw more characters from Twst like that. Just an idea but that could be fun... I'll think about it.

I'll try to do something for Azul's birthday as I saw his groovy and fell for his evil expression... Please Azul, never change.

Xianyun aka Cloud Retainer 💚

Decided to do a small break from the twins (don’t worry they’ll be back soon) and draw the beautiful Xianyun. It's been a while I haven't drawn any Genshin characters and the last one was Arlecchino a few months ago.

Anyway, for this one I didn’t wanna go with a sophisticated pose and just wanted to be quick while drawing her but I ended up going wild on the effects and the gradient maps. Actually it’s pretty fun to play and try new effects but I tend to lose myself in it and not knowing which one to use in the end.

Anyone pulling for her? Because I will 🙈

Happy (very) belated birthday to my favorite twins 💜

Omg I'm finally done with this piece. Took me a while but I made some breaks in between as it's a bigger illustration to draw.

I know their birthday was 2 months ago but I was pretty busy the last months and I had to deal with personal stuff as well. It was kinda rough but things are slowly getting back together.

Anyway, I thought it’d be fun to do a Disney-verse and make the twins meet Flotsam and Jetsam for real. I’m pretty sure this would 99.99% happen if they met...

Of course Jade would get along with Jetsam. They’d be plotting all the time and fufu about it. Mischievous eels and that damn smile again.

Poor Flotsam getting squeezed by Floyd… there’s no way we can stop this. Who would interfer with Floyd anyway ?! and besides the only person he would listen to is his current mood so… Good luck Flotsam, you seem to amuse him at least…fufu.

Those evil fishes…but that’s why I love them.

Btw, this year I’m confident enough to go to conventions as an artist for the first time and I’m so excited about it. I'll give you more details once it's officially confirmed. This also means I will be selling prints of my illustrations in the near future so stay tuned for more infos soon.

How could you say no to such a genuine smile? I'd take it no matter what knowing all the troubles I might get into.

The moment I saw Jade in the New Year's event I had to draw him with that splendid smile of his. At this point I just feel it’s a pattern I can’t just get rid of… but tbh I don’t mind at all.

It's been a while I haven't drawn with colors and he was the perfect subject to come back to it and I had so much pleasure when drawing him. Focusing on the lighting was my aim here and I'm pretty satisfied with the final result.

Also sharing my art process on this one:

My very first sketch looks so chaotic and meaningless it makes me laugh but these steps are essential when I draw. I might share more art process in the future now I'm feeling confident enough making it.

Enough talk, I'll leave you in Jade's good hands from now on 🤭

🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 🥳

This is what happens when you have a hyperfixation on Ruggie’s hairstyle for the New Year event. It has always reminded me of an onion and couldn’t resist to add the twins and make up a short and funny story about it.

In 2023, I told myself I wanted to draw more “manga” artstyle (which I did) and I feel like I’ve made some progress and I’m slowly getting to an artstyle I like. I hope I’ll make longer stories for this new year but they take so much time to make and as I’m working on the side, it’s very difficult to find a balance between posting regularly and keeping the attention to details. It sometimes drains me when I think about it too much but I’m working on myself.

Anyway, I could say so many things about the retrospective of my art but I don’t wanna write too much right now so please enjoy my post and let's start 2024 in a good mood.

Back from my vacation and I know I said my illustration of the twins’ bday was my priority but I definitely couldn’t resist drawing sth related to the Playful Land event. Is that so surprising to see Jade in it? Of course not…

Anyway at first, I was planning on drawing just Jade and Grim but then, I had a funny idea of adding Gidel begging for his hammer and being too short to reach it (sorry Gidel that was too tempting 😭). Jade always there to take advantage of these kind of situations and enjoying it. I always draw him with this smile it almost gets pathological but can’t help it...

As Xmas is coming, I really wanna draw the Santa Claus Octavinelle trio... I'm gonna think about it.

As I’m flying to China to visit my family for the next 2 weeks, I finally managed to find some free time today to draw Floyd and Grim with their Playful Land outfit. I am so in love with Floyd’s one, it fits him so well… He always makes me weak ugh.

I really wanna draw more from this event but it’ll wait a bit since I’m still not done with the illustration of the twins’ bday (and they’re my priority when I’ll be back home).

My challenge here was to draw and play with effects faster than I’m used to with this black & white style and I’m positively surprised I managed to do it. Wasn’t sure I’d make it as Floyd’s outfit has so MANY freaking details and I just noticed I forgot the buttons on his shirt haha… oopsie.

Btw, I hope to draw more developped comics about Twst in the future and create stories because I enjoy doing it so much.

Please give to Grim and Floyd a ton of love 💜

The Puppet Killer 🦋

⚠️ This is NOT blood but OIL (puppet oil to be precise) ⚠️

Just wanted to be clear about this and people who played the game will know how he gets all dirty when killing the puppets.

Anyway this is my 2nd illustration of Lies of P and my main challenge was to draw a more realistic face for P. I tried to stick to his face in the game without copying it from one single reference and I absolutely had to draw him with the long hair and my favorite outfit. This time, I’ve got to say I went pretty berserk on him but I really enjoyed it and hope you do as well.

As I will be late with my illustration for the twins’ birthday (like every year), I decide to post two old drawings I did of them to celebrate their birthday today. I’ve been drawing these two idiots since 2021 and I'm not even tired of drawing their face... In fact, I'm even more determined to share more illustrations about them. Get ready guys !

"Geppetto's puppet... We need your help." 🦋

I am TRULY in love with this game and the lore behind it. Beat the game last week... still not over it *sobs* even started a NG+ as I still need to process my first run.

Lies of P is my very first soulslike game ever and the lore was exquisite. It's been a while I haven't been so much into a game so congrats to the devs. Thanks to your artistic direction and lore, you made me play a type of video games I thought I'd never play. Actually, I enjoyed fighting the bosses and the satisfaction you get once you kick their butt is soooo good even though I might have raged a few times at some spots but nothing very significant hehe.

Here is a close-up because I want you to focus on the patterns I drew with my bare hand on his coat. No I'm not exaggerating... 🤥 *liar*

P's design is so lovely, I particularly enjoyed drawing his fluffy hair. Please let's protect the boy at any cost, he managed to touch my heart in the end 🥺

I might draw other Lies of P fanarts... still need to express my feelings towards the game.

As the Glorious Masquerade event is running for the 2nd time on the JP version and is about to come on the english one, I wanted to celebrate it with our favorite octopus 💜 Azul’s smug smile is the best. It's actually an illustration I did last December but I still can't get over his outfit. He looks so handsoooome (and those glasses !!) Imo, this event has the most beautiful SSR outfits. They all look stunning 😭 might pull for Azul this time... even tho the twins' birthday is next month ugh.

Mito Yuuta & the Octavinelle trio (part 2)

Finally done with this illustration that took me way more time then I expected but rushing it was not an option. Told you Yuuta would be safe and sound (Grim too btw). He's still in the middle of two (charming) psychos as the third one got what he desired the most...

Had a lot of fun drawing this 2nd part but I gotta say I need a little break from drawing in a black & white style. Drawing almost 4 full body characters in one illustration is surely draining but that was super fun. I love the process of creating a scene and playing with postures and facial expressions to tell a story (even a small one). Hope you like it & thanks for your support ❤️
