how can you be new to rping when you mention you've been in other rps before?

I really don't mean to be rude, but I honestly don't feel it necessary to justify myself to an anon. If you would like to discuss this, please come off anon so that I can answer your asks privately. Else, I will be deleting all anon asks of this nature from this point on.Thank you.

So, you know that the former ATT group fell apart not once, but TWICE, right? The members that have gone independent have done so because they were there essentially from the beginning, and have found from what I can tell a much better system since going independent. More rules, and moderation isn't going to keep this thing afloat. The promise of more rules and moderation is what broke it apart the last time. Maybe you should just leave it alone like the former mod said, and just.. go indie.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and that's just fine. There's nothing wrong with simply trying this out. If it really doesn't work, that's okay, but it's at least worth a try. Besides that, since I'm so new to RP, I don't want to go indie, but I don't want this to die either because I'm in love with the idea (and besides that, I didn't get to play when ATT was around! ;) ). We're not promising more rules and more moderation, we're just providing a new, non-independent place to RP for those who wish.

For being sixteen years old, Willow Malequin had seen a lot in her short life.  A lot of it was stuff that normally she'd have thought impossible but given her heritage was very likely.  She was a born witch and had been training since she was about three.  

Despite her known reputation as a witch (some people believed her, some didn't) she'd always been well-liked by the general majority at her old school.  She'd always had friends, always been very out there when it came to having fun.  She was by no means shy; quite the opposite.  She loved dancing and would admit to the occasional consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Just as she had friends, however, she had enemies, enemies with power.  She'd learned that when, at the age of thirteen, she'd been kidnapped by a vampire called Klaus.  He'd tried to make her join his team, stating her power plus his near-invincibility would be unstoppable.  She knew all about Klaus and what he was trying to do and turned him down.  A fight ensued and she'd barely made it out alive after using her powers to give him a migraine.  He'd dropped to his knees and she'd bolted.

She still had dreams about it, even to this day, even after fleeing North Carolina in favour of Mystic Falls in Virginia, in the hope she'd be safe.  Running into Alaric Saltzman was the last thing she'd expected.  He'd been her teacher in North Carolina and she'd been quite taken with him; he'd been the best teacher she'd had and she'd just enjoyed his classes thoroughly.

She would miss North Carolina dearly.  She hated having to make the decision to leave-- she didn't want to leave all of her friends behind.  Promises were made to keep in touch but Willow didn't expect these promises to be kept.  She'd seen it happen before and didn't expect herself to be any different.

When Willow arrived in Mystic Falls, the first thing she did was speak to a young man with blonde hair, roughly the same age as her, maybe a year or two older, called Matt at a diner called The Grill.  He managed to get her an interview and she left with a grin on her face.  All she needed now was a place to stay, but for the mean time she booked a hotel room for three nights-- all she could afford at present.

And despite her current financial situation and lack of family or familiar faces in Mystic Falls, she had a good feeling about this town.

When the old Ask the Tudors decided to close, it seemed like some of the members and anons did not wish to part with it. Most of the Ask the Tudors have decided to go independent, and we wish them all the best and happiness. The old Ask the Tudors cannot be replaced and the wonderful characters, storylines, and typists will be cherished.  For those who wish to stay with Ask the Tudors, and for those who wish to join, the opportunity is here. Ask The Tudor Court is starting new and independent from Ask the Tudors.  All characters are currently open.

Ask The Tudors Court is going to be experimental for the first two weeks to a month to determine whether or not enough interest is here for this to work.  So if you wish to see this be successful, please join!
