Charlotte: As for the second question, I do like physical affection, especially through expressing it by cuddling. My boundaries... well I usually only do express physical affection to those I’m close with, like Sam.

“Well... I have been hurt many times. Notably, by one of my.. younger brothers. However, I ask you anon not to pity me, as this was.. my fault. I have no one to blame but myself, though in the past, I have seen him as being the one who caused this. It is my fault and mine alone..

   We used to be very close together, he’d be by my side and constantly bug me about getting him something. We’d go berry-picking, playing hide and seek, annoy our older siblings, all sorts of mischief and adventures, we’d share it all. But one day, one of his mentors came and took him in, raising him to be that “perfect child”... as if several others weren’t enough to satisfy him. I began to associate less and less with my brother, mainly because of the various troubles that plagued the island, which had long began after the end of that Seven Year’s War, and because well.. his mentor was constantly trying to keep him away from me and the others, afraid that I would... taint my younger brother. 

   Well.. you can only imagine how bitter he must have felt. Being shunned by the others, feeling lonely and abandoned by his one elder brother who he had stuck to him in the past like glue, it must have been hard for him. And yes, he did have more privileges than us, more wealth, more mannered. Still does, haha.. He is cunning, manipulative, arrogant. But he is also successful, opportunistic, intelligent. I am glad he is successful, though I do sometimes envy it. But back to the point, being abandoned just like that, being left lonely and forgotten, I understand why he would harbor a... vendetta? No that’s a blood feud.. A-a strong dislike.. a grudge. It is understandable he would harbor such a grudge towards me. 

    I mourn the friends who have come and gone, like Violet, who I dearly miss. And I mourn the friendships and relations between others that have either disappeared, broken off, betrayed, or soured. Betrayal by family or by close friends or your loved ones- it’s scarring. You can move on from it or heal, but you will remember the scar. And I believe this betrayal by my own hand.. it will haunt me til the day I sink.
