💚 Traits, Refreshed & Randomized

I'm currently in the testing process for V2 of my Trait-Based Chemistry mod, but I wanted to go ahead and share this first, since I intend these to be used with that mod.

The original 3t2 traits were released 6 years ago, and I thought it was time for a fresh look. And while Flippity Flop traits by @anachronisims/@cityof2morrow filled in some gaps, I still felt like there were some aspects of real life personalities that were missing. And like most things, I started working on this and couldn't stop. Here's what you'll find in the download folders:

New icons for 3t2 & Flippity Flop traits, using 4t2 icons

Increased texture size for all traits, so they look a bit nicer in Sims' inventories - these went from 128x64 to 256x128 (preview below the cut)

9 new traits to complement the above sets

New icons for some "bonus" traits like @tammyhybrid21's Alien trait and @midgethetree's Fairy trait, plus 8 new completer bonus traits

Mesh swap of Simlogical's Prisoner Tag to fit the same format as the traits

Optional renamed traits (included in a separate folder with credits where applicable)

Trait randomizer program using Hook's RandomStuff

All traits use their original GUIDs and file names so you can just replace them in your downloads folder if you have the originals. You may need to manually refresh thumbnails in-game to see the new icons.

‼️The collection file is required - these objects will not show up in the catalog. If you are new to using traits, you also MUST have the trait_MAIN file from the original traits project post.

It's been ages since I shared anything and I started this project months ago, so it's highly possible I made a mistake somewhere. Let me know if you run into any issues!

Hi, just a small heads up that your Black Thumb trait includes an additional recolor for some reason (of the Minimalist trait icon iirc)

and if you delete the additional black thumb recolor the icon for the minimalist trait also disappears and the icon just displays with "no pic"

Hi anon, thanks for letting me know. Those are actually retextures of the Flippity Flop traits by @anachronisims / @cityof2morrow. I threw the original files in my game quickly and I'm seeing the same issue - I will try to take a look later tonight but also tagging them in case they can get to it first.

I love your refreshed traits, they look amazing, but I have a problem: They show up completely invisible in game, no matter what I try and also if I remove everything else in my Downloads and Collections folders.

Here's what I tested so far:

I originally thought the problem was caused by cityof2morrow's collection file, so I made my own collection file for all your traits with the collection creator, which didn't change anything, still invisble.

Then I made them show up in the catalogue again with the object relocator - also no change, they're still invisible, just in the catalogue now.

I also downloaded the original traits with the 3t2 icons (and the flippity flop ones) to test and wouldn't you know it, the traits with the 3t2 icons show up just fine, both in the catalogue in collections.

So then I tried placing some of the working traits with the 3t2 icons on a lot, saving and quitting, and then swapping the 3t2 icon traits out for your new refreshed 4t2 icon traits and that will make the lot crash upon loading every time.

I'm completely baffled at this point. Since it's not a problem with the collection file and the traits with the old 3t2 icons work just fine, it seems to be specifically an issue with your new refreshed traits. But I don't know what else to try anymore. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Hi! Did you make sure to have the Trait_Main file from HB's original post? That is not included in any of my archives, sounds like it might be missing when you're dropping the folders in. Hopefully that's it because it's an easy fix!

👽 Alien Spawn - Infant Face Templates

I am setting up a new uberhood with templates that include infant faces, so I had to add them to my favorite Multi-PT mod by @spookymuffinsims!

And because the default face templates I use don't include the alien archetype, I decided to add a replacement for it (Face 28). I used this template from Magical Girl Sandbox, adding infant genetics (and LOD15s so your Sims with that template don't revert to Maxis in house previews).

There are some important notes and information needed to use these, so please make sure you read the documentation.

This is my first time making/sharing either a face template or a multi-PT mod, so please let me know if you run into any errors!

Hi everyone, I’m still on a simming hiatus but have been lurking a bit after the rerelease. Starting to get that bug to play again but I had so many projects that were half-finished… not sure if I am ready to jump back in just yet, I’m feeling a bit intimidated by my simming to do list!

The cool thing about this chair is that if you place multiples next to each other and you have the Is Sofa a Sectional mod by Inge, it turns into a sectional couch!

🌼 4t2 AggressiveKitty Decor Essentials: Urban Wallpaper

This was a request made by @grilledcheese-aspiration on Simscord, and since I already had my eye on them for my game I went ahead and converted them! I also made a few add-ons - I gave black baseboards and some paneling to my favorite floral wallpaper (shown in preview), and since the textured concrete seems really versatile, I made 29 recolors in my Academia+ palette.

The pattern with the vases in the original download post wasn't showing in S4S, so that's not included. The black paneling is a little bit pixelated - I'm not sure why, that's how the textures exported, but I still think they look nice!

19 wallpapers by @aggressivekitty - 16 original and 3 add-ons

All patterned walls can be found in Walls > Wallpaper - Plain wallpaper is §5, paneled wallpaper is §10

The single concrete wall is in Walls > Poured, §3

29 additional concrete recolors by me are also in Walls > Poured, §3

Files are compressed; choose from merged or unmerged

The merged files I made for my own game and they have had the filename strings changed - they will be sorted together in the catalog, not by price. If you don't want that, choose the unmerged version.

Not Mac-compatible - sorry, I made a mistake and had to fix via SimPE and didn't want to go through Homecrafter again. If someone really wants them for Mac, let me know and I'll find some time to fix them.

💄 Lilith's Delicate Eyeshadow for MoonFruit Skins

I have had @sixfootsims's MoonFruit skins in my game since they were released, and I absolutely love them. I've always used Lilith's Delicate shadow when I wanted Sims to have monolids, but the tones didn't quite match, so I finally got around to making some recolors to match the MoonFruit skins! They're not a completely perfect match, but they work well enough for me (and look much better with these skins than the eyeshadow's original Trapping tones).

I know SixFootSims said he planned to make a monolid version of this skin, but he hasn't been active in several years, so I figured I'd share in case anyone else wanted them!

18 swatches - adult/elder natural tones for both default & CC shades, as well as alien & zombie tones

Elder natural tones are only available for EU; adult natural tones are available for PU-AU

Alien & zombie tones are UU

Files are compressed and unmerged

RAR also includes geneticized/townified natural CC skintones - genetic scale based on @sixfootsims's original swatch

🦙 Sims4Nexus Llama Recolors for Farm Animals Set

I was so excited to see this awesome farm animals set from @tvickiesims and @deedee-sims! I really wanted some spotty llamas in my game, so I found some S4 recolors and slapped them on the llama mesh.

6 recolors of the TS4 llama that work with Vickie & DeeDee's custom pet collar

I also edited the eyes on their original brown recolor to match these, so I included that as well

💐 Buy Mode: Snapdragon Rug

A while back, @snapdragoned received a WCIF for this pretty floral rug, but no one seemed to know where it came from. I found the original texture online and decided to remake it myself because I wanted it in my game. While I was at it, I made some quick recolors using my new color palette, and since I liked how they turned out I figured I'd share them!

🎨 Color Palette - Academia Plus

I've been working on streamlining my downloads folder, and I think I've finally landed on a color palette that I want to use for most recolors I make in the future.

This is mostly pulled from the Byrdie: Academia color palette by honeycuts (deactivated), hence the name. It also uses some colors from their Accents & Prada palettes, and one lone pink color from @poppet-sims Lonesome palette.

Since honeycuts is deactivated, I though it would be okay to upload in case anyone else wants it. There's a PNG and Photoshop swatch file included in the RAR. I'll be uploading something in this palette later today!

Wild Child v4 - Now With Less Misogyny!

In the process of redoing my mods folder, I was testing things out and realized that darkwolfjr's Wild Child mod uses a Chris Hatch pregnancy controller. This controller contains some shitty language about stretch marks and saggy boobs when a Sim reaches their third trimester (I assume only for female Sims; I didn't bother testing male pregnancy).

This is just a simple edit that replaces the misogynist language from the mod. Please note that this is just the main mod file - if you do not already have this mod you should download the whole thing from the link above and then allow the package file below to overwrite the main mod. Do not use this package alone without reading the documentation!
