hello, i have a question about submission rules!

what is the stance on ponies who are mains in one generation but background/toy exclusive in another generation?

for example, in both gen3 and gen4, pinkie pie is a main pony, so she can’t be requested. in gen4, fluttershy is a main, but in gen3, she’s toy exclusive. can gen3 fluttershy still be requested?

yes, a g3 fluttershy can be requested in this case! it works just like how you described lol- like even though minty in g3 is a main character, shes merch only + appears in a special in g4, so her g4 iteration can be requested!

would party favor and night glider be considered background ponies? if so, could i maybe have some ship art/platonic art (either one) of the two together? (night glider being the g4 one, not the g1 pony)

They are considered side characters, not background ponies!! If a character has a prominent role in an episode without being a main character, they are a side character :)

question, not a request: does vinyl scratch/dj pon3 count as a background character? shes appeared in multiple episodes and is a fan favorite, but in most of her appearances she has a very minor role and only has speaking lines in the comics. also i forgot if anyone has already asked this haha

yes, she counts! the only characters that don't count are main/side characters! basically if they have a prominent role in the plot of an episode (EXCEPT Slice Of Life), they're golden!

i have a biiig soft spot for early-season background ponies, so id probably still draw, like, twinkleshine if someone requested her, even though she's a prominent side character in Amending Fences, just bc she used to be such an iconic background pony. i dont speak for other mods tho!

Can I ask to see Prism Glider? I remember when they came out and I couldn't snag their mini fig. Their art is a male pegasus, but they are a recolored rainbow dash! Transgender pony power!
