Hey! So how does one usually perform erotic hypnosis on another person? Like is there a preferred method or anything? I wanna try this with my boyfriend(I’m a girl) And im pretty lost on the whole process
Hi!
I’m really glad you are interested in trying out erotic hypnosis! Now, the thing about hypnosis is that it is a very wide topic. There are a staggering number of different techniques, inductions, and suggestions you can try.
Because of this, there is no one “preferred” method, it is personal to the subject and the hypnotist. However, there are some basic inductions and methods that are suggested for the beginner hypnotist, so I’m going to try to briefly run you through a basic hypnosis session using these simple methods.
So, the basic model of hypnosis (which applies to erotic hypnosis) has the following stages:
1. Pre-Talk2. Induction3. Suggestion4. Result 5. Wake Up6. Debrief/After-Care
The easiest way to go through the process is to use this model and take it stage by stage.
I’m also going to attach links to some other posts I’ve done that cover some of the specific stages in greater detail in case you want to do some extra reading.
1. Pre-Talk
This is pretty much what it sounds like, it is the talking you do before you start hypnosis. A Pre-Talk has three main aims, those being: building rapport, gathering consent and setting expectations.
Now, rapport is just mutual understanding, how well the hypnotist and the subject get along. Now as you are planning to do this with your boyfriend, you should already have some good rapport as you build rapport whenever you talk with someone.
Consent is important for all hypnosis stuff, so now is the time you ask for permission to do what you plan on doing, this also plays into the setting of expectations.
The aim of setting expectations is to try and help the subject understand what hypnosis is and what is going to happen during the session. Having the subject know what you plan to do helps put them at ease and mentally prepares them for going under.
A big part of setting expectation will be explaining to him what hypnosis is, commonly people say things like:
“You know when you are reading a book and get so lost in the book you forget the world around you? That is a trance state.”
“You know when you watch a movie and get so engrossed that you forget the world around you? That is a trance state.”
“Have you ever driven to work and totally zoned out, not remembering exactly how you got there? That is a trance state”
Statements like this are a good way to reassure your subject about hypnosis, reinforcing the idea that a trance state is a very normal and very safe thing.
Part of setting expectations is being open about the fact you are both experimenting, so don’t focus too much on making one thing happen, that will just reduce the subject’s confidence if it doesn’t work. So say things like “We are going to experiment with these things and see how you react to them,” because then they are successful regardless if they work or not.
2. Induction
The induction is the process of putting someone into a trance state. Now, there are a lot of different types of induction and everyone has some inductions they prefer over others.
However, for someone experimenting for the first time, your best bet is a relaxation induction. As the name suggests these inductions focus on gently relaxing the subject.
Relaxation inductions are very good for new subjects as they are non-threatening and work around an idea that everyone is at least conceptually familiar with. They are also good for new hypnotists due to their slower nature, as they give you plenty of time to think through your words and to watch how your subject reacts.
The basic relaxation induction starts by having the subject lie down in a comfortable place and then the hypnotist talks them through taking deep breaths (breathing in and holding it for 3 beats and then breathing out for 3 beats).
Then the hypnotist has the subject tense each muscle in turn, before relaxing it, all while explaining how the subject is becoming more and more relaxed and sinking deeper and deeper into the bed. For example, the part focusing on the leg muscles would sound a little like this:
“And as you take a deep breath in, focus on how your body fills with cool air  and how,  as you breathe out, you feel the tension sliding out of your body into the air, your body sinking into the warm soft bed.
Now, tense the muscles in your leg, feeling all of the tension of the day, all of your stresses and worries building up in there. And now just relax those muscles, and feel all of that tension flow out of them, leaving them delightfully warm and heavy. And each breath just makes you heavier and warmer and helps you relax even deeper.”
You continue with this pattern, going muscle by muscle until you have covered the whole body or the subject shows signs of being in a trance. A good full script for this type of induction can be found here.
As an aside, this induction can be combined with visualization, with the subject imagining a relaxing place like a beach. It is often best to phrase it as “imagine yourself in a relaxing place” as opposed to specifying it, as everyone has a different definition of relaxing”. If you chose to use visualization, all you need to do is just replace mentions of the bed with the place the subject is imagining.
So
“As you sink deeper and deeper into the bed”
Becomes
“As you sink deeper into this warm safe place”
You can also combine this induction with a massage to increase the relaxation, so if your boyfriend enjoys getting massaged I totally suggest adding it in.
To tell if your subject is in trance, there are several signs you can look for:
Deep but slow breathing
Muscles in the face relaxed
Slowed Blinking
Limpness in the body
A “glazed” look in the eyes or the eyes rolling up into the head.
Eyes watering
Voice going lower with a dreamlike tone.
Now not every subject will display all of these, but they are good things to look for, as most subjects will exhibit at least one.
3. Suggestion
Now, when your subject in a trance, you have two main options. You can give suggestions or do a deepener.
Deepener
A deepener is a process to get someone deeper into a trance. Like inductions, there are many different ways to go about this, but the most common beginner one is called “The Staircase Deepener”.
This is performed by asking the subject to imagine as a set of stairs with 10 steps in their mind’s eye. You explain how you are going to count back from 10 and that with each number you countdown, they will go down a step and thus deeper into the trance.
So for example:
“10, taking that first step down deeper into the trance, feeling yourself already growing warmer and more comfortable.
9, going down the next step and feeling those feelings grow, knowing you are warm and safe here with me as you follow my words and go deeper”
Continuing all the way down to 0. A full version of this deepener can be found here.
Suggestions
You can also give suggestions. A suggestion is (on a very basic level) a hypnotic command. When starting out it is best to start with basic things, like anything in life, being a hypnotic subject is a skill, so don’t go for too much too soon.
A suggestion can be used while the subject is in trance or you can set up a suggestion that will work when they wake up, at first it is easier to focus on doing things while in a trance.
Some examples of good simple suggestions include:
- Imagine a helium balloon attached to your left wrist and a weight attached to your right wrist, the more the weight pulls down your right wrist, the higher the balloon will pull your left wrist.
-Whenever I say [Simple Phrase] you will respond with [Simple Phrase]
-Whenever I say [Phrase] you will put your arm in the air.
-Whenever I touch your nose you will make a soft moaning noise.
You will note that none of these are dramatically erotic, but I would always suggest building up to the erotic material, to give the subject time to just get used to being in a hypnotic state and to give them time to practice following suggestion.
4. Results
This is where you enjoy the results of your hypnotic suggestions. After this, you could give more suggestions, or proceed to the end of the trance with the wake-up.
5. Wake Up
The wake up is the process in which you bring someone out of a trance state. Everyone has their own preferred wake-up, but a simple one is:
I’m now going to count up from 1 to 5, with each number you will slowly come back to awareness, feeling the suggestions clear as you wake up refreshed
1, rising up slowly and easily with each deep breath2, feeling your self slowly coming up3, feeling reality slowly flow back in 4, wiggling fingers and toes as you will fill with energy, ready to come back up and5, wide awake
6. Debrief/Aftercare
This is a crucial but often forgotten step. The debrief is discussing what happened, talking about how you both felt, while aftercare is very similar to aftercare in other kink play.
Make sure the subject has water and goes to the toilet, and the comfort and validate them for taking part and experimenting with you.
So that was a guide to a very basic beginners hypnosis session. There is a lot more you can do and honestly, one of the best ways to learn is to read, there are some really good hypnosis books and resources out there (and remember you don’t need a specialized “Erotic Hypnosis” book, all hypnosis books contain good information that you can easily use in erotic situations, in fact, I would suggest going for a general hypnosis book as it gives you a wider and more in-depth look at hypnosis as a whole).
Over time you will likely find other methods that you enjoy using or methods that work better for your boyfriend and part of the fun is finding those things.
I really hope I helped, and don’t hesitate to message me again if you have any other questions.
