Like many people; I get caught up in those Reddit AI stories that keep popping up on my YouTube and TikTok. And I fucking hate them.

All of the stories are written like Reddit posts, which confuses people to think that the story is real, or even if it’s fake, that it’s a common experience. And it’s just fucking not.

Those fucking stories are just as much right wing conservative propaganda as anyone in the manosphere, but I never see any comment acknowledging that. Just comment after comment going “this is way too common,” “this sadly happens way too often.” Except it doesn’t.

I can’t tell you how many stories I saw where some horrible woman makes false allegations against a man and everyone cuts him out of their life immediately without ever even hearing his side of the story. Him losing everything and being forced to start anew only to find out years later that everyone now knows she lied because she came forward and admitted it so he can be vindicated. Or the incredibly smart and clearly deserving sibling being completely ignored and abandoned by their family only to leave at 18 and turn it into a success story.

These supposed underdog stories that are supposed to be about bad people finally getting what they deserve, but done so in a way that is just a lie conservatives tell themselves to feel better.

For one, as we all know, this absolutely absurd idea that women lie about being assaulted all the time. With how many stories that come out about this, it’s no wonder men think women are conniving assholes. But that isn’t how real life works. Most people don’t just go no contact with a guy when he’s accused of a violent crime. Sometimes we WISH he ostracized, but he seldom is. And a single complaint about sexual harassment would NOT result in termination without an investigation.

Every one of these stories exist in a world that doesn’t exist anywhere outside of a conservative’s imagination. People can totally pull themselves up with no help by themselves and be successful if they just work really hard at it, but parents instead put all their love and attention making their kids little snowflakes who get everything handed to them and if you recognize how wrong that is, then YOU’RE the problem, and that’s why your family doesn’t want to talk to you. Because you’re right and they’re too selfish to accept that. Justice will prevail, the police will carried out justice to the very letter of the law when you have been wronged, because they’re the good guys, who care. They’ll totally arrest a person for assault for cutting your hair without your permission instead of telling you to fuck off and not waste their time.

Most people understand these stories are fake, and fucking terribly written and plotted, but we also need to acknowledge how insidious they are as well.

Make a stink every day in congress, throw as many bills as you can on the floor even if they go nowhere, look like you're trying.

Have someone, idk maybe someone you actually want to boost for President in 3 gd years, be your voice of opposition in the media, loudly complaining and telling the facts, every single day. Let the people know you're there!

How hard is this? There's probably better suggestions than mine if they actually hired seasoned protestors or behaviorists/psychologists or even the biggest teenage troll they can find on a messageboard.

My best friend is holed up at her brother’s house for the past few months for a broken ankle. Her ligament actually tore a piece of bone off, it was nasty. She hasn’t been able to take care of herself on her own, which is why she’s been at her brother’s and her nephew has been watching her dog and cat. But he had to leave this week so she asked me to do it. Of course, I said sure.

I just got there. It’s only been a few hours and now I’m sitting in the vet hospital because her cat can’t fucking breathe. And now it turns out she’s probably going to have to be put down.

It’s the first day! I’m at her house until next Sunday, and I fucking kill her cat the first day?!

Fun fact: one time in college, I was peeling the skin off my lip, as I did (I’m a peeler), and I ended up hitting a capillary I think, that caused my lip to start bleeding. And not stop. I sat there during my full two hour, twenty minute lecture trying to stop my lip from bleeding. Fun times.

My fellow American hobby bakers, demoralized by egg prices and scarcity and how you will make the American apple pie or the chocolate chip cookie, fear not. I have spent many years turning regular baking recipes vegan for my corrupt and traitorous sister who last week ate a salmon cream cheesed roll. There are many, many substitutes for eggs including but not limited to:

Mashed banana: best added to compliment flavors of whatever it is you're baking (peanut butter, chocolate) make sure it's MUSHY and ripe

Apple sauce: again, best with complimentary flavors (cinnamon, brown sugar) use unsweetened and have the rest as a snack

The big boy champ, ground flaxseed: flavorless, though it does darken your batter/ dough a bit. Bags found next to cornstarch and almond meal, etc. Instructions on how to use right on the bag! Make sure to let the flaxseed water combo sit in a separate bowl until it has the consistency of mucus 👍

Now with all of these you MUST add a bit more leavener, they don't have the lil bit of lift eggs give, so make sure you add a touch more baking powder. Sort of ok for brownies and cookies if you want them a bit more dense but KEY for cakes, quick breads, muffins and other things like that or she is gonna be SQUIDGY 🫡
