@harleythegnarly this is correct! it was the 1949 all star game at ebbets field, home of the brooklyn dodgers. fun fact: joe dimaggio was not originally selected for the team. he was a replacement for fellow yankees outfielder tommy henrich due to henrich’s nagging knee injuries. had henrich not been injured, 1949 would have been the only year during joe’s career dom made an all-star team without joe.

I can only say, Doc, it is and even though you will want to yield, in the long run, your own feeling about yourself will be the most important. Try not to be left alone, try to get more players to understand your views and you will find great support. You have made a real contribution. I surely hope your great ability continues. That ability will determine your success of your dedication and honesty. I again appreciate what you are doing.
