Round 1, Match 16: The Crystal King (Paper Mario 64) vs. Ursula (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)

Crystal King Propaganda:

He's the invisible king of the Ice Palace. He summons crystals to fight but he also has ice abilities too. Actually, those crystals are probably made out of ice.

Ursula Propaganda:

She's a living weapon known as a blade, with her user getting access to her Knuckle Claws. She also has access to ice arts, but she also just always has a polar bear named Beary with her at all times. It is never explained if he's part of her or not since he is summoned alongside her when she's awakened from her core crystal. Overall she's very sweet and her sidequest is about her becoming a popular travelling musician (although the quest takes FOREVER) to complete. Just look at her design! Cute as hell!

An Ice/Ghost Pokemon that evolves from female Snorunt. According to the Pokédex, women who die on snowy mountains become this Pokémon. One of its favorite things to do is to freeze travelers lost on snowy mountains, especially men.

Emma Propaganda:

“She’s no ordinary girl! She’s from a deep blue underworld, and land or sea, she’s got the power if she just believeees!!!” Okay sorry for the bad karaoke singing. For those of you who didn’t go through a mermaid phase as a kid, this is Emma and when she took a dip in a magical island pool during a full moon, she then into a mermaid whenever in prolonged contact with water. It also gave her special powers! In season 1 she could freeze things, mostly only if they already had water on it, and in season 2 her powers got amplified so that she could freeze things regardless of if they were wet and also could summon hail and make snow storms. Her powers get her in and out of shenanigans, like in the episode “The Big Chill” she freezes local mean girl Miriam. Like she freezes and entire human being and the rest of the cast have to figure out how to thaw her back safely. Also likes to make fresh popsicles with her powers. We don’t talk about season 3.

Ice Worm Proganda:

The worm is a huge and hostile leviathan / environmental hazard that burrows in ice and attacks anything that's above it. They can burrow through ice because their horn is super-heated. They also can't be killed by the player.

Celes is one of a few female playable characters in Final Fantasy VI, and stands in contrast to the protagonist Terra, who has an innate ability to use fire magic. Magic is supposed to be extinct in this world, but Celes was augmented with technology to be able to use magic, and her speciality is ice. She is the second playable character encountered to have magic abilities. She is also described as "cold as ice" by another character for easily deflecting his charm. She's a military general, hardened, stoic, who takes herself very seriously. She's also a secondary protagonist, and while her icy veneer slowly melts through connects with friends, family, and love interests, her association with ice is a constant.

Round 1, Match 9: Hat Kid (A Hat in Time) vs. Pet Shop (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Hat Kid Propaganda:

(Ok I’m really stretching it here but I’m not about to submit Cryo characters from Genshin sO!!) Hat Kid does not have powers per say. She uses different hats that she makes and gains abilities form them. So her ice hat allows her to turn into an ice statue. She kinda jumps up into the air before slamming down onto the ground and either knocking enemies away or catapulting herself across the map. She holds up a peace sign while in statue form and that’s pretty cute. Also! In no-jump runs of the game, people use the ice hat to replace a jump which is really nifty!

Pet Shop Propaganda:

This is the most blood thirsty bird I have ever seen jfc.

Sherbet Cookie Propaganda:

Once someone in constant bedrest that was diagnosed with an unknown illness, his best friend Cotton Cookie went off to find a rare Wind Flower for Frost Queen Cookie to delay his fate. Albeit, it was in vain since Sherbet Cookie eventually faded into snow not long after. But somehow, thanks to her, Sherbet Cookie was reborn as a frost spirit with all kinds of ice magic, free to go wherever he wanted to.

Nuju Propaganda:

Toa (robot superhero) of ice. Incredibly rude, weirdly logical for someone whose day job is astrologer, decided if people wanted to talk to him they would have to put the effort in and spoke entirely in bird noises for his post heroing life (he's immortal so that's 1000 years and counting)

Freeze Propaganda:

One of the 52 Clow Cards which were then later turned to Sakura Cards. These cards can be thought of as magical spirits which provide power once they are ‘captured’, though they tend to wreak havoc before then. Its first appearance in the anime is a giant goldfish lurking underneath a skating rink and giving elementary students hypothermia, which I think is neat. Once captured, it allows the user to freeze things, summon ice, and lower temperatures.
