i just saw some photos of me from summer 2023 and HOLY SHIT my skin was soooo fucking bad. i didn't remember how bad it was bro it was like high school all over except i didn't really break out during high school either

like 2021-2024 my skin looked roughhhhhh. i've since found a routine that keeps the break outs to a bare minimum and nothing like what it was and usually i only break out when i pms

i blame the iud/birth control in general (mirena and nexplanon specifically) and i need my rights restored so i can get this god forsaken device out of my uterus and let my body find equilibrium again 😂😫

I still can’t get over how Chappell and Lady Gaga only talked about trans rights in their Grammy speeches without a single mention of women or the fact that our rights are being erased right now. Trump ordered women’s history removed from NASA and military websites, the CDC deleted critical women’s health data, the FDA erased diversity guidelines that ensured medical treatments were tested on women fairly, and the Department of Defense scrubbed content acknowledging women’s contributions. Yet they act like women are fine as if we’re not being erased in real time. So is it acceptable for women’s struggles to be erased and rights being stripped alongside racism being promoted while trans rights take center stage.

i've been debating going back to school but like is that even worth it? like yeah the world is falling apart and burning around us but like 1. what if the stops and 2. am i really supposed to put my entire life on hold like idfk and 3. don't get me started on the financials and logistics of going back

like i'd go finish my psych degree and i wanna audit an anthropology class to see what thats all about and i want to get my degree in journalism and creative writing and women's and gender studies and cultural studies FUCK

i knew america was lazy

and i know and recognize that there are some good people doing the real work and staying active during this time

but just like the 4B movement, every revolution or movement gets really really popular because someone made it trendy and then gets picked apart and some people dont think anything applies to them or dumbass terms like "cute winter boots" gets popularized and used to spread information and make nobody's feel like somebody's for a minute because they think thats real activism.

i knew how the government moved, but i am wildly disappointed in the american people, who in the masses have been begging and wishing and hoping for a change, and once its here they post about their cute winter boots and think that is going to topple and dismantle an oppressive and abusive and tyrannical system.

its like you all enjoy being oppressed, and deep down i genuinely think you do. i think you're all too infatuated with a system you are somehow are still finding ways to benefit from instead of just doing the work.

idk theres a lot of fucked up psychological layers to this. as a nation, as a people, we are despicable.
