FORMAL COMMUNICATION 101: Phrases we are NO longer using, why, and what to use instead
1. I'm sorry/ I apologize
-> apology is admission of guilt. The law girlies have more on this. Admission of guilt is a submissive state that puts you under the dominance of someone else.
Instead, make it a praise moment for the other person
I'm so sorry I'm late that won't happen again
Thank you for your patience. Shall we begin?
2. In my opinion
Unless youre the spokesperson of a group its obvious what you say is your opinion. Pointing out out has an energy of 'don't attack me' which takes from your confidence and makes you seem weak since you're so used to being attacked to your opinion to a point you've resulted to pre-defense
Instead, use I think/ I'm of the opinion that
In my opinion equality is subjective
I'm of the opinion equality is subjective.
3. It's okay
It never is. Even if it is, a person apologizing is admitting guilt, let them sit in it that puts you in the position of power. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use those two words okay? Okay. It's the most awwwww naw pick me you get.
Instead use any firmer phrase, depending on your reaction (just because they apologized doesn't mean it's okay)
Nah it's okay it's all good
I didn't appreciate that, it's for the best that it doesn't happen again
I hear your apology / you. See you next time
(Uh we NEVER forgive someone just because they apologized. A place in your life must be earned, an apology isn't words its action)
4. Yes, but.
They contradict each other, usually one uses them to validate a point while contradicting it and it's always a flop. "But" indicates contradiction/ resistance, no one likes that.
Yes, but it's also true that I'm right
I see where you're coming from, it makes sense from that angle. It however also makes sense from this angle, I think it's time we consider dualism / dichotomy.
5. If that makes sense
Submission 101. Little miss I have no faith in my intellectual abilities and want to exempt myself from the embarrassment of being wrong/ little miss I can not withstand conflict so I play it down. Do. Not. It makes sense or it doesn't, say what you're saying and go.
The alternative is using 'I'm of the opinion that' / 'from where I'm standing'.
Well, women work twice as hard and face twice more challenges, if that makes sense
From where I'm standing / I'm of the opinion of / in my experience, women work twice as hard and face twice more challenges
Pro tip: your opinion / experience can not be challenged since one would have to be in your place to do so. It's the ultimate power point.
6. Just
Nothing is more annoying than women that use this especially when making a case in a formal situation. No one will take you seriously when you sound like a teenager with self esteem issues. This downplaying of an opinion/ situation/ point to literally look smaller and less threatening isn't just submissive its pathetic. Unless youre talking to your friends stop that.
It's just that he said its okay so
No it's just I don't think we should
It just doesn't make any sense to me that-
There's no substitute for completely eliminating this word from your conversation. None. And speak with your voice steady and back upright, that little soft sound that accompanies this phrase is worse.
7. Of course /
Especially after being asked to to a favor / task this eagerness to please doesn't sound very high value to me. Of course is possibly the highest level of willing submission
"Of course I will (enter task)"
I'll see if I can, I'll do my best.
'Yeah sure' is the closest evil cousin.

How To Network 🤝📱💬
Have a Plan: Because everyone is important, it's really important to know what you're good at. Before you go to any networking event, figure out what you're good at – like things you can do well, what you know, and the people you know. Plan what you want to talk about, especially how you can help others, either now or later on.
Start with Who You Know: Talk to people you already know, like friends and colleagues. Ask if they can introduce you to others.
Go to Events: Attend conferences, seminars, workshops, industry meetups, and social gatherings related to your field of interest.
Use Social Media: Make profiles on websites like LinkedIn or Instagram to meet people in your niche online.
Elevator Pitch: Create a concise and engaging intro that highlights who you are, what you do, and what you're seeking. This way you can make a strong first impression.
Ask Good Questions: When you talk to someone, ask questions that show you're interested in what they're saying.
Provide Value: Networking is a two-way street. Offer your expertise, assistance, or connections to others whenever possible. When you start paying attention to what people can do, you might see that one person could help another person. Try to introduce people who you think have something valuable to share. When you make these good connections, you're helping the networking event go well. This will help you establish a good reputation and create strong relationships.
Say Thank You: After meeting, send a message to say you enjoyed the talk.
Follow up & Follow Through: If you said you would talk to someone later, make sure you actually do it and let them know you're still happy to help. If you promised to introduce one person to another, take a moment to make that introduction. These small things really matter to people, and just one introduction could make someone's life better.
Meet Different People: Don't just talk to the same kind of people. Meet people from different jobs and places.
Never dismiss anyone as unimportant: Don't think someone is not important just because of their job title. They could know important things or have helpful friends you wouldn't know about if you didn't give them a chance.
Join Groups: Be part of clubs or groups related to your work. You can meet more people there.
Be Yourself: Just be you. Don't pretend to be someone else.
Learn New Things: Keep learning about your interests. It helps you have better conversations.

Personal productivity/self love tips
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fuck the clean girl influencers that just post their perfect life, choose to be inspired by influencers who show their difficulties and help you how to really improve
Don't put extreme goals for yourself to achieve, that girl aesthetic that does everything and never fails is impossible and unrealistic, you are human
Don't waste another morning watching other people's lives instead of getting up and doing something more useful
The first thing you will do when waking up its drink a glass of water, it takes oxygen to the brain and makes you wake up faster
Focus in one goal, wanting to achieve several goals at once will make you procrastinate more and not achieve anything
Set a timer for your apps, it makes your be more aware of how much time you're spending on each app
Make a list of gifts to give yourself when you achieve a goal, it gives you motivation to achieve it faster
If you can't improve for yourself, at least improve to be a healthier person and present in the lives of the people you care about
If u can sleep 8+ hours, do it, put your phone down and sleep
Apples! They'll boost your energy and immunity so much
Self care isn't selfishness
Uninstall any app that makes you compare yourself
Don't hear people that ashame you and call you a "pick me", they're just unhappy and jealous of you because you show who you really are, love the things you love and keep being like that, don't change because someone thinks ur being "embarrassing"
That's it for the day, don't be hard to yourselves, luv ya💐

Summer miracle challenge
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
get in losers (just kidding ily), we're manifesting our dream summer ✈️🌴🏖️🥥 i'd suggest doing part 1 of this challenge, over here. After you're done with that, this is my part of the collab with @miracledarling (renna if you're seeing this ilysm and it was amazing doing this w/ you)
step 1 — make a list of your desires 📃 : add everything you want, since everything is possible! don't worry about it being too long, or impossible because that's so old and limiting y'know?
step 2 — vaunting, vaunting, vaunting! pretend your on a phone call, and talk about how you have your desires! write in a journal about your dream life, and talk to yourself like you have everything you want already! (which you do) whenever you get doubts, saturate yourself with the new story and let go of the old one
step 3 — live in the end : I'd suggest just embodying the dream life, and act like you have all your desires (cause you already have it)
step 4 — vision boards 📌 get on Pinterest, or whatever and make a vision board! remember this board reflects your life, so make it however you want~ want money? add pictures of stacks and loads of money just laying there! either way, make a board with all your desires and know that everything on that board is yours
step 5 — fulfill yourself: whatever makes you feel fulfilled and like you have all your desires, do it! whether its affirming, subliminals, SATS, visualizing, or just letting go, do it! make yourself feel fulfilled, happy, and content knowing you have all your desires right now
step 6 — have fun! go to the mall, and act like you're buying everything in the store because you're so rich and pretty~ basically don't make this a chore, because it's supposed to be fun 🪅listen to music that makes you feel confident, and like you have your desires! get wild, and have fun, because this summer, is the one where all your wildest dreams come true 💃🏻

10 tiny things that changed my life ₊˚⊹♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's so easy to get caught up in the big picture, but sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference. Here are some small things that have changed my life for the better, and I hope they can do the same for you :)
1. The power of the to-do list.
I know, I know. You've probably heard this one a thousand times before. But seriously, hear me out. Writing down a to-do list the night before has totally changed the game for me. I mean, who wouldn't want to wake up knowing exactly what needs to be done, instead of running around like a headless chicken? (Been there, done that – not cute.)
And here's a pro tip: Make sure to prioritize your tasks. You know, so you can tackle the most important stuff first and avoid those nasty all-nighters.
2. Drinking water like it's my job.
Okay, I'll admit it. I used to be one of those girls who would choose a sugary drink over water any day. But let me tell you, staying hydrated has worked wonders for my skin, energy levels, and overall mood. So, drink up, ladies! Your body will thank you later.
3. Embracing the "two minute rule".
This one's a game-changer! If a task takes less than two minutes, just do it right away.
Say goodbye to those piles of clothes on the chair (you know the one), and hello to a cleaner, more organized life. Chef's kiss.
4. Learning to say "no" (politely, of course)
It's time to face the facts: We can't do it all. So, learning to say "no" to things that don't align with our priorities is absolutely essential. And guess what? It's totally okay to put yourself first sometimes. After all, you can't pour from an empty cup.
5. Feeling gratitude.
Practicing gratitude has made me appreciate the little things in life. I mean, who knew that writing down three things you're grateful for each day could have such a positive impact on your mood? (Hint: It's me – I'm telling you now!)
6. Rocking the "me time".
Self-care is everything! Taking time out for yourself – whether it's a bubble bath, binge-watching your favorite show, or reading a good book – can do wonders for your mental health. So, go ahead and indulge in some me-time.
7. The art of journaling (Dear Diary...)
Journaling isn't just for angsty teens, I promise. Writing down your thoughts and feelings can be super therapeutic, and it's a great way to work through any challenges you're facing. Plus, you'll have a written record of your life to look back on – and laugh (or cringe) at – later.
8. Surrounding yourself with positivity (good vibes only!)
You are the company you keep! Surround yourself with positive and uplifting people who support and encourage you. Trust me, life is way too short to hang out with people who bring you down. So, go ahead and build your group of amazing people who will cheer you on every step of the way.
9. Dancing it out.
You heard me – dancing is not just for parties! Crank up your favorite tunes and have a mini dance party in your room. It's a fun way to let off steam, boost your mood, and get a little cardio in (bonus!). Plus, who doesn't love feeling like the star of their own music video?
10. Embracing the beauty of imperfection.
Don't let perfect become the enemy of good. For most things in life, getting it done is better than getting it perfect.
And there you have it! Ten tiny things that have changed my life, and I'm sure they can do the same for you. So, go on and give them a try – you just might be surprised by how much of a difference these small changes can make. Cheers to a better, happier, and more fabulous life! ♡
