Behold, one of the most terrifying things we've ever made:
MePhone4 has a @ryunumber of 2/5/7/does not have a Ryu number.
(explanation below)
First of all, if you don't know what object shows are, and I imagine that's probably you if you're the average Ryu Number reader: one, I promise this doesn't usually happen, and two, I'm sorry.
If we take the path of least resistance, MePhone4's Ryu Number is trivial. Santa appears in Season 1, Episode 9 of Inanimate Insanity, and even the most literal interpretation of the scene would at worst put MePhone4 at a Ryu Number of 3, as Santa is technically never in the same scene as Ryu.
...There is, however, a massive, glaring issue with the Santa route that was only revealed properly in Season 2, Episode 16--several years after the fact.
For those who don't understand Object Shows, I'm so sorry for you right now, this doesn't usually happen. But to cut a long story short for those not in the know; not only did MePhone4 make the contestants, it's basically all but stated that every fantastical element in the show was by MePhone4, and not the "real" one. In turn, the Santa Claus all the way back in Season 1, Episode 9 was not actually Santa.
So... What now? As far as I could find, anyways, there's two distinct ways you can try to keep the chain going.
The simpler one to explain is that in Season 2, Episode 4, there is a cameo from Puffball Speaker Box from Battle For Dream Island, where they serve as a "guest judge". Puffball Speaker Box was in Season 2 of BFDI, alongside Bubble, who already has a Ryu Number of 3. There are two problems with this; one mild, and one larger.
For the mild one, Bubble's own route relies on if the Weighted Companion Cube is, indeed, valid to consider as being a character; and also, Bubble only appears in the title screen, though there were evidently plans to have her be playable if BFDIA 5b was... y'know, finished.
The larger one, though, is that we have no idea how deep the rabbit hole of what MePhone4 has made goes. There's basically zero real evidence that Puffball Speaker Box in Inanimate Insanity is the Puffball Speaker Box from Battle For Dream Island, and if that's the case, we run into the exact same problems as with Santa.
So... If having things cross over into Inanimate Insanity is a total dead-end in a maximal case, are there any instances of someone in Inanimate Insanity crossing over into something else? As luck would have it, yes.
Baseball from Inanimate Insanity is a guest judge in Brawl of the Object's fourth episode (funny how that works out), and from there, Boombox (a contestant from Brawl of the Objects) cameos as themselves in Battle For Dream Island Season 2, Episode 1. And from there, linking back to Bubble is trivial.
This route does, however, have both the same issue as the Puffball Speaker Box route in that it relies on you believing the Weighted Companion Cube is a valid character, but also the added issue of... ironically enough, the reverse of the problem we had with Puffball Speaker Box; namely, in the wake of this reveal, it's unclear if the Baseball in Brawl of the Objects, despite sharing the same voice actor and expressly being described as the one from Inanimate Insanity, truly is the one from Inanimate Insanity, or if the Baseball from Inanimate Insanity is separate, given his status as one of MePhone4's creations.
Thinking too much about this, given Party Hat (also from Brawl of the Objects) also cameos in Season 1 of Inanimate Insanity, yet actively remembers this, is... A bad idea. While I don't want to hold it against Brawl of the Objects, given they had no idea this twist was going to happen, this does end up leading a bit of doubt to the Brawl of the Objects route, as, in the worst-case scenario, it could also be a false start like Puffball Speaker Box was.
And, unfortunately, short of interviewing one of the creators of Inanimate Insanity, there's probably no way to be certain if Baseball's cameo in Brawl of the Objects, or Puffball Speaker Box's cameo in Inanimate Insanity, are "canon" or if that "is" Puffball Speaker Box.
And of course, if none of the above are valid, then MePhone4 just lacks a Ryu Number altogether. As far as I'm aware, MePhone4 himself has never cameoed in another Object Show, and even if he has, you run the very real risk of it being without the involvement of the Inanimate Insanity crew, which would run afoul of the same clause that deprived--of all characters--Ceda Cedovic of a smaller Ryu number. I assure you, this will probably be the only time MePhone4 and the Poor 4 share a post.
May the lord have mercy if Inanimate Insanity Season 2, Episode 17 has a twist that somehow results in an even more convoluted route.
