Beerus yawned loudly, hoping to wake anyone that was still asleep, namely his angelic attendant who should always be at his beck and call. He slumped over from his bed, rubbing at his eyes, trying to wake up himself as best he could. The God was always needing to be distracted, otherwise he’d just go on an elimination spree of worlds, clearly. Had you not, I would never have witnessed the travesty that mortals had become- nor would I have found the perfect mortal vessel with which to fulfill my purpose.” 

Ever ready to talk, Zamasu seemed practically chatty at this juncture. 

“If you’re here, it must mean that Supreme Kai Shin is still around as well. No matter. I will snap his neck as many times as it takes.”

   “...Hm... Zamasu...” He ceased with scratching his face, so nonchalantly, and looked at the other with a little more attention. The frown that now appeared on his features could practically be felt, if one were to notice the steady rise of his godly energy. The Destroyer part of himself was gearing up to do what was necessary. “You shall do no such thing. My Kai is somewhere safe.” A lie, as he was definitely nearby. Perhaps we should have hidden him... Beerus quickly thought so bitterly, yet remained with his bluff on prominent display.   “You are a fool to do what you have been, you know. Or did you really think that your deeds would go unnoticed from Zen-Oh? Not for long, at least. Sooner or later he would get wind of all this, of the many Supreme Kai’s you’ve slaughtered, and your plans would inevitably crumble...” | @zamaxsu​ |

“No, I’d venture to say they didn’t put much thought into it, beyond their own desires.” She agreed. Admittedly, it was odd to hear such a somber tone from the feline. Moira hadn’t spoken often to the God of Destruction, but she had witnessed enough to know that his main concern was often what was filling his stomach. It wasn’t too surprising, though. Even she had never thought to care so much about the plight of the world, beyond its scientific advancement. It was the scale of their destruction that made it so very jarring. There was no ignoring it: you were either living through the horror, or you had already been lost to it.

“So then, does that give you the information you were looking for? I cannot tell you anything specific, no names or artifacts they sought. You know what I was working on, and thankfully never achieved for them.” That was, of course, thanks to the careful prolonging of what might have been an attainable goal. To grant Black immortality, however, would have been the greatest mistake she could have ever made, and to deny him that was worth every bit of suffering.

Beerus listened as carefully as before, bright eyes following her motions and reading her facial expression with such a scrutiny. He had to be sure there was only the truth coming from her mouth, and it seemed to be the case. She had definitely witnessed horrors that shouldn’t have occurred in the first place, and he wondered how such an event began in the first place. In my universe, no less... Even a future one, at that. Still... He thought bitterly, and promised to himself that he wouldn’t allow such an oversight to go unnoticed again.     “Well... It’s given me enough. You should be pleased to know that I have taken care of the current Zamasu, as is. So, we won’t be reliving that future here. What cowards....” He tsked with annoyance, and continued on, tail flicking behind him to display it more. “Good on your part to deny them that, for as long as you did. If both were to achieve immortality, then the fight would have been unfavorable for Son Goku and his comrades.” | @talonedbanshee​ |

     “Ha, understood.”

There was no hesitation there, no fear resulting from the feline’s threats—one’s that he could very well make good on if he so desired. Despite all logic telling him otherwise, Goku felt that the odds were in his favor. They always had been, so why would that stop now? The Earth needed him as much as he needed battle, and somehow he seemed destined to return there one way or another.

     “Well, if you aren’t going to go all out from the get go, neither am I!”

In a flash, he ascended only to the first level of Super Saiyan. A warm up was fine by him, so long as Beerus didn’t pull what he had on their first meeting. Blocking his kick, the Saiyan went in for a few jabs of his own. Despite the fact that Beerus was holding back, Goku could tell that he was taking the fight seriously. So I angered him enough for that…good. That meant that he could go all out, and test his limits without worry.

     “Come on now, I know you’ve got more than that!”

    “What? You’re okay with the implications of all this? That you might die, and never come back? You realize that I could simply Hakai you into nothingness.” Beerus parried off the other’s attacks, and reached forward to grab at the front of Goku’s Gi. He yanked him closer and growled. “Do not goad more out of this exchange, Saiyan! You will not be able to take what I can give...” Yet, how he desperately was on that edge of wanting to show off just how much he could release, wanting that thrill he has been so long without. Could Goku give it to me? Tosses him back to give him space, charging up a ki-blast in his palm, and letting it go exploding forth at the other. There was a snarl to his expression, not liking how eagerly he was allowing this fight to continue. He should have ended it by now, but even then there was that small bit of doubt in wondering if the Saiyan truly could be put on hold for long. “You think being a mere Super Saiyan will help you??” He laughed, and kept flinging purple blasts out, wanting to play for a little longer. “I’m already so bored!!” | @earthssavicr​ |

   “Well, actually I think I do quite the fine job, honestly. Besides, evil is a point of view, really. It is only my duty to do what I do. You, on the other hand... should really step back, and learn your place.” He casually scratched at his face, lazily watching the Kai with one eye as he amused himself with himself. This was a problem he shouldn’t be dealing with, and yet here he was. “Also, you might want to get your face looked at... No offense.” | @zamaxsu​ |
