New Chapter of Anchored - Scuttlebutt
From this chapter's summary:
Previously, Crowley and Aziraphale arrived at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort, North Carolina, for an interview and photoshoot for World Sailing magazine. Crowley's agent, Bea, informed him that his boss, Nik, expected him to savage his rival.
In this chapter, Crowley and Aziraphale face a rude reporter determined to get the better of them. They have surprises in store--for him, and each other.

C'mon, you know you want to read it. Crowley defying death filming viral sailboat stunts? Aziraphale defying everyone's expectations (especially Crowley's) at every turn? And sailing lore--so much sailing lore. If you read, make sure to click both links for Alex Thomson's mast walk. You won't want to miss seeing the inspiration for this story. Fic is entirely written and I will post new chapters every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Chapter 4- Scuttlebutt is here.
Or read from the beginning of Anchored.

PSA for anyone considering writing a story with any kind of lie or twist. The hardest part isn’t the reveal, but all the in universe bullsh!t you have to make up so everyone in the story doesn’t see it coming.
It has to FEEL real to the characters or the reader will see the twist coming a mile away. And it’s exhausting.
#and yet I keep doing it to myself#stupid brain#stop making puzzles I need to build the pieces for#PLEASE#jk never change but man this is always the hard part#a post for me#bellisima rambles

Good Omens is basically a show about an 11yo environmentalist boy suddenly gaining awareness that humans are polluting and destroying the planet and want to reset the earth because of that
And two fruity celestial entities presenting as old men trying to woo eachother while trying to save earth for their own interests (and somehow fail, at both)
OR : How a child tries to reset Earth because he prefers lemon drops to nuclear power - featuring two gay men terribly bad at whatever they are supposed to do

Et resurrexit tertia die - Chapter 19: Creationism (4.4k, for a total of almost 108k so far)
Chapter summary:
People are having Thoughts.
Excerpt:
“I can’t concentrate!” Anathema crossed her arms and slouched in her chair. Biscuits then, Newt decided, the chocolate ones. And maybe a candle. It took the tea a few minutes to steep, and for Newt to set everything up, during which Anathema kept sighing and fidgeting, clearly trying to get Newt to ask. And he would. Of course he would. In a moment.
There are dinosaurs in this one! I love dinosaurs! Ehehehehehehehe
Fic summary, tags, and tags under the cut.
Fic summary:
Half a year after Aziraphale left, Crowley is trying his best to come to terms with the fact that the world is going to end in just seven weeks and that he will likely have to face that end alone. Having done all he can, all that's left for him to do is to distract himself while he waits. Teaching a too-nice-for-their-own-good human not to take in random strangers might be just the ticket. Meanwhile, up in Heaven, Aziraphale is receiving some troubling news about the Second Coming. Troubling - but possibly the best chance he is ever going to get to set things to rights. Now, if only he could get Crowley aboard, but that seems to be much more difficult than he would like. The solution to all their problems is much closer than they think. If only they'd remember the elephant... OR: Just another post-season 2 fic. But with more glitter.

I’ve complied my fic recommendations into categories and sharing them here. I’ll be updating these lists periodically as I come across new favorites.
This category features Human AUs in a Historical setting. (One of my favorite themes.)
If you enjoy any of these fics, please consider leaving a comment for the author. 💖It truly brightens their day and helps encourage them to keep creating these wonderful stories for all of us to enjoy.
See more of my fic recommendations here.
Click on the link below to see the list of stories.
All My Heart Is Yours by @feraltuxedo Victorian. M/M. Rating: E Words: 63,810 Chapters: 21 Aziraphale Fell arrives at Eden Hall to take up his new position as tutor to the young heir. The house is enormous, remote, and its occupants rather strange — but none more so than its master, the ill-mannered but inconveniently handsome Mr Crowley.
A Dependence on Appearance by LCwrites (@janara7) . Regency. M/M Rating: E. Words 23,445 Chapters: 4
Miss Anathema Device is young, vivacious, and talented artist. Her close friend Lord Crowley hosts a house party in the hope of helping her acquiring a patronage. The weekend might get more interesting than Crowley anticipated when the obnoxiously rich Gabriel Archer brings along his cousin who seems thoroughly uninterested in the proceedings. That is, until Crowley catches him alone. (One of my favorite authors. Get everything they write into your eyeballs, folks)
Entailed by @feraltuxedo Regency. M/M Words: 18,228 Chapters: 5 Loosely inspired by Pride & Prejudice.
Anthony Crowley, a single gentleman of seven-and-forty and guardian to two unmarried sisters, is awaiting the arrival of the young clergyman who is set to inherit his estate. A marriage between him and one of the Miss Crowleys would be advantageous for both. But Mr Fell has other plans.
Marriage and Misery by @wyvernquill Regency-ish, arranged marriage. M/M Rating: M Words: 10,511 Chapters: 1
Aziraphale firmly told himself he would not make such a maudlin spectacle of himself any longer. Fine, then. He loved. Crowley did not. They were husbands nonetheless, in nothing but name; strangers apart from their wordless shared evenings and some polite conversations on occasion. Love would not - could not - change a thing.
Marriage, especially the arranged variety, is an enterprise wraught with pitfalls; moreso, Lord Aziraphale Fell is quickly learning, when hearts become involved. Troublesome things, really, hearts. Only fit to break…
(Lovely historical tone that really evoked the feeling of the era , and so much pining it just poured off the page and made my heart ache. And then of course the happy ending that made my romantic heart go pitter pat.)
A Place to Call Home by TawnyOwl95 @tawnyontumblr Victorian. M/M Rating: E Words 6,054 Chapters: 1 Thespian Crowley, artist Aziraphale.
Aziraphale is trying to start a new life, but first his past must be put to rest. (One of my favorite authors, and very prolific. Go hit that subscribe button)
The Queen's Hellhound by Phoenix_Soar. Medieval. F/M Rating: E. Chapters:1. Words 3,558 Queen Aziraphale, knight Crowley.
After an infuriating meeting with her council, Queen Aziraphale finds herself seeking yet another secret tryst with the head of her guard. If only Crowley would act less like a knight and more like a lover when they’re alone together… (OMG. This is scorchingly hot. And full of the feels.)
sine qua non by drawlight. 1920's Russia. M/M Rated: E. Chapters: 1. There is a ball tonight at the Winter Palace. Crowley has laid out his lord's clothes. (Chock-full of longing and love. An amazing writer, one of my favorites)
The Soldier's Bond by @gayangeltrap Late Roman Republic M/M Words: 69,198 Chapters: 20
In the Gallic Wars, Angelus Aziraphale, is a Roman centurion. A man of discipline and honor, Aziraphale suppresses personal emotions, focusing on maintaining control over his men and ensuring victory for Rome. Aziraphale and Crowley find themselves drawn together, which is complicated by the rigid Roman norms and the tension of their military roles.
Content warnings: Violence and death, mention and depiction of slavery, themes true to the gritty life of Roman soldiers at war.
(OMG: this was so gripping. It is intense and beautifully written. The historical detail was so immersive, and the balance between gritty realism and emotional nuances of the characters was so compelling. The harshness of life in the Roman army wasn’t softened, yet the humanness came through.)
Temple of the Muses by AJ Constantine Victorian. M/M Rating: E Words 240,785 Chapters: 38
It’s the start of the Season in 1841 Victorian England. Anthony Crowley has left a life of working at a high end bordello in Paris and is now a courtesan intent on climbing the social ladder in London to increase his status and social connections.
After unexpectedly inheriting the title of the Earl of Eastgate, Aziraphale finds himself navigating the complicated world of the aristocracy. Duke Gabriel purchases a month-long contract with Crowley for Lord Fell as a surprise gift to Aziraphale’s astonishment and dismay. He declines to take full advantage of Crowley’s charms but agrees to an arrangement of pretending to be Crowley’s paramour in exchange for lessons on the etiquette and expectations of Society.
It’s a practical arrangement, nothing more. Certainly no feelings will be involved…
(This story consumed me for well over a year as I wrote it, and I fell hard down the rabbithole of researching Victorian history)
Tidewrack by TawnyOwl95 (@tawnyontumblr.) 1700's Pirate AU. M/M Rating: E Chapters: 2 Words: 6,706
Crowley never wanted to be a pirate captain. He likes giving orders though, and the clothes. And when pretty rich boys are brought to his cabin for questioning. Although this prisoner is making Crowley feel rather out of his depth. (Fluffy fun)
with all your delights by weatheredlaw Fantasy AU. M/M Rating: E Words: 61,754 Chapters: 4
Aziraphale is sent as a gift to the southern king to smooth over trade negotiations. they both find themselves in over their heads. (Historical fantasy is a niche I adore. Not enough Good Omens stores in this theme)
