We don't need more politicians as leaders but more leaders as politicians, because politicians think of only the next elections but leaders think of the next generations. . Someone is tempted to ask, how do we know a good leader? I would reply how do you know that Jesus Christ was a good leader? How many years did he spend in the Temple acquiring knowledge? we didn't read about it. We are all our Problem, until we step up and stop being dogmatic and being racist, we all we deteriorate, why? The People representing us to the whole world don't know how the business of making decisions around the house and accountability is Zero. . Our Problems are solved, why because we know what our problem is, . We don't have bad government, there is no such thing as bad government, it's "THE PEOPLE" occupying the seats, offices and decisions makers. . Dictators will die prematurely and all the power they took from the people will return to the people. So far as people dies, liberty will never perish. . We are Giant of Africa and will always be, but we've quietly buried it in fear and mediocrity, we've not yet lost our giantness, It still in me, It still in you. Ocean don't loose their OCEANNESS when it is taken out of the ocean into jar, it still retains it. #bia #Biafra #BiafraExist #BiafraUprising #biafra #mnk https://www.instagram.com/p/CPuDrNpHDV8/?utm_medium=tumblr

PROJECT MAYROCK: A promise fulfilled. In the days following the stroke which would eventually take his life, one issue weighed heavily on Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s mind. That ‘issue’ was the immortalization of Bruce Mayrock, the 20 year old who set himself ablaze in front of the UN Building in New York on this day (29th Of May) in 1969 to draw attention to the plight of the Biafran people (a people whom he had never met, and whom he believed were at the brink of extermination, engaged in a desperate war for survival), who died in the early hours of 30th May, on the anniversary of the declaration of Biafra. ‘There is still time’, I had assured my anxious spouse. ‘You will get through this, and then you will do it, as you planned’. His response destabilized me. ‘I am a soldier', he said, looking straight into my eyes with all the equanimity of a man whose fate already lay before him; ‘the only modes of death I am conditioned to anticipate, happen to be death at the battlefield or by execution...I never expected to get this far. If I don’t make it, Do what you can...our people must never forget....’ Sadly, he did not survive....And steadily I embarked, stage by stage, upon Project Mayrock which, to the Glory of God, is nearing completion and slated for commissioning by the end of the year. It is our hope that the surviving brothers of Bruce Mayrock will attend the ceremony. The Mayrock is a three story edifice including a conference hall with Projectors ,an exhibition floor that will house artistic depictions, iconic photos and historic scenes of our 30 month long heroic battle for survival. Sculptures of Bruce Mayrock will adorn the landscape and memorial hall. Pupils from various schools will have an opportunity to visit and learn more about our struggle. The buildings and some of the artworks as shown here are still in process, however since this particular anniversary marks 50 years of the end of the Biafra War - a momentous milestone- I thought it timely to share this initiative. The only input you are required to make into this project is to pass on the story of this selfless sacrifice, and that of so many others to our struggle, to your chil https://www.instagram.com/p/CPl5uafHQhj/?utm_medium=tumblr

WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN!!! TIMES MAGAZINE, LONDON, 7th of October 1966. "The massacre began at the airport near the Fifth Battalion’s home city of Kano. A Lagos-bound jet had just arrived from London, and as the Kano passengers were escorted into the customs shed a wild-eyed soldier stormed in, brandishing a rifle and demanding ‘Ina Nyamiri?’ – the Hausa for ‘Where are the damned Ibos?’. There were Ibos among the customs officers, and they dropped their chalk and fled, only to be shot down in the main terminal by other soldiers. Screaming the blood curses of a Moslem Holy War, the Hausa troops turned the airport into a shambles, bayonetting Ibo workers in the bar, gunning them down in the corridors, and hauling Ibo passengers off the plane to be lined up and shot. From the airport the troops fanned out through downtown Kano, hunting down Ibos in bars, hotels, and on the streets. One contingent drove their Landrovers to the railroad station where more than 100 Ibos were waiting for a train, and cut them down with automatic weapon fire. The soldiers did not have to do all the killing. They were soon joined by thousands of Hausa civilians, who rampaged through the city armed with stones, cutlasses, matchets, and home-made weapons of metal and broken glass. Crying ‘Heathen’ and ‘Allah’ the mobs and troops invaded the Sabon Gari (strangers’ quarter) ransacking, looting and burning Ibo homes and stores and murdering their owners. All night long and into the morning the massacre went on. Then, tired but fulfilled, the Hausas drifted back to their homes and barracks to get some breakfast and sleep. Municipal garbage trucks were sent out to collect the dead and dump them into mass graves outside the city. The death toll will never be known, but it was at least thirty thousand. Somehow several thousand Ibos survived the orgy, and all had the same thought: to get out of the North." - Times Magazine London, 7 October, 1966. https://www.instagram.com/p/CPjd2z5nYlY/?utm_medium=tumblr

By Obadiah Mailafia WEDNESDAY, January 15, marks 50 years to the day when our tragic civil war was formally ended. That was the day that Colonel Philip Effiong and his men brought the articles of surrender to Yakubu Gowon at Dodan Barracks, Lagos Gowon famously declared that there were”no victor, no vanquished”. January 15, 1966 was also the date the first military putsch led by Major Chukwuma Nzeogwu took place, setting a chain of events that culminated in a civil war that lasted from 1967 to 1970. But today God has sent up Messiah in man's flesh to bring back our lost Glory. The zoo will fall, confusion here and there and like #mnk Usually say; We'll kill them They'll kill us And Biafra will come. #BiafraExist #Biafra #mnk #BiafraUprising https://www.instagram.com/p/CPHnYuIHkyn/?utm_medium=tumblr
