Istg people who act like Vox and Vel are BETTER than Val piss me off so much. I’m sorry but ur pookies are evil. I love them BECAUSE they’re evil. They may not be r@pists but they actively enable one and actually advertise and fund him.

Also Vel makes roofies that allow HUNDREDS of people to get SA’d.

And Vox’s literal introduction was a camera specifically made to peep on people. Plus he sleeps with Val despite KNOWING he’s a r@pist so that should say a lot about his character.

In conclusion, Vox and Vel care as much about consent as Val does and they are all equally awful.

I don't really understand how people can call vox and angel's situations with val even REMOTELY similar. it's so clear how different they are when angel dust has to say "fuck off, val" once and get punted to the ground and threatened with more abuse the next day. vox can: pinch val's cheek, roughly pull him down and shout at him to his FACE, say "um FUCK you?" ALL without any consequence or retaliation from val. and people still think their situations are anywhere near the same?

I think that the Venn Diagram of people you are describing and people who don't want to feel bad about liking Vox is a circle. Acknowledging that Vox truly loves, or even likes Valentino means that Vox is (surprise) a bad person, what threatens the feeling of moral superiority gained from liking only "unproblematic" characters. Of course there are for sure some angst enjoyers who just like the idea of Vox entangled in the abusive relationship - I see no problem with that as long as nobody tries to convicte me that's canon.

I feel like I need to point out that not dating≠ not canon. Some VoxVal fans are devastated by the news that they’re not officially dating (which I thought we all KNEW as she’s been saying that for years) but Viv literally confirmed that they’re still canon.

In fact I even count this as a win because now we know for SURE that they have a connection outside sexual. Also she liked this so there.

THIS. Vox is great, but he’s no better than Val.

I was watching reactions videos to the show again and fuck me, I completely forgot that not only Vox used Pentious to spy on the hotel, he also quite literally told him to kys when he was found out. Not before mocking him relentlessly for being found out. Like, this man literally told a man that, he brought the "lowest earners of the month" just so Valentino could shoot them, he took advantage of the panic over the extermination for some bullshit product that didn't even exist then (and probably still don´t) and I have no fucking doubt in my mind that every single Vox product is made to fail at the first years just so you have to keep buying more of it. I know that he is funny and ultimately he is more level headed than Valentino, but just by watching the show alone is very obvious that he IS a manipulative son of a bitch that will sell his own mother at the first chance he has. I am just really glad that he found someone just as awful as him, just in a different way, in Valentino because truly that is a blessing for the rest of hell lol
