Ya'll know how Deku rarely complains or even flinches when he breaks his body while using OFA.

So you know he's in genuine pain when he's chanting over and over how much it hurts 😢

I can't wait to see how they'll do this scene justice. Deku's VA is amazing , so I'm sure his cries for OFA to stop will tug at my heartstrings.

Also , I read the English translation of this chapter on the Viz media app ( new chapters are always free to read there , by the way ).

and the translations are , of course , different.

We may not have izuku-might. But instead we get izuku saying :

“but it’s okay , I’ll come home to you !”

don’t mind me , rambling about the latest bnha chapter

It really surprised me when it was revealed that deku is working with allmight as well as the top three.

Even when his greatest fear is seeing them hurt ( mainly for him ) , and his greatest concern is to keep them safe , he still ( as far as we know , willingly ) works with the top three and allmight , instead of going off on his own like he usually does. ( which we really thought he did for a few chapters )

Quite literally his last memory of almost everyone is seeing them severely injured , or on the brink of death , he may not even know what their current condition is ( unless he’s being updated by allmight or the top three ). Nonetheless , the images of them bloodied and in excruciating pain were his last moments with them , and it still very clearly haunts him.

maybe now Deku is slowly starting to shake off his self sacrificing habit , and actually coming to terms with the fact that he can’t do everything on his own , even when he’s scared of others getting hurt for his sake , no matter how much he pushes himself to do so , no matter how much he wants to — he just can’t. In the long run , it does more harm than good ; especially to his mental and physical health.

Glad to see that he’s getting support , but maybe that’s easier now because the top three knows about OFA ?

And , on top of that. Look at the advice Gran Torino gives him —

“killing can be another way to save someone”

Look at his face , poor boy , he’s barely 18 , and he has the biggest responsibility of taking down the most dangerous , powerful villain ( in the world ? ) — and also juggling his own personal task to save shigaraki

I say personal task because a lot of heroes and civilians probably wouldn’t even give the option of saving shigaraki a second thought , so far , only deku has that kind of goal. Other heroes might not agree , and deku can possibly be faced with backlash over the mere idea of showing a villain ( who was the cause of this whole shitshow ) a shred of mercy.
