Family Christmas 2011

December 24-25, 2011

Everyone planned to celebrate it with the wwhole family (mother side) on Christmas Eve. The program is consists of Games, Exchange Gifts and the Noche Buena. So, lez start...

Btw, halfway through our game, my cousin unfortunately deleted all our pictures from the start of our program: the each teams obligatory pictures, dougie dance of my brother and cousin and our classic pinoy henyo game and other games :(( Sewww sad..

Pre-Noche Buena Game. Ubusin lahat ng pagkain at kung sino yung mas mabilis natapos ay siya ang panalo.

Syempre kami ang panalo. Haha.

Harina Game. Blow lang ang harina hanggat makita ang one peso coin. Fastest time to beat ito. 2nd lang kami dito. Vinivideo kasi mga games namin kaya wala masyadong pictures. Hehe.

Intermission. Binigyan kami P500 each ng tita namin na dapat yearly Christmas shopping. P500 na lang daw kasi palaging na ooverprice kami pag-shopping. Hehehe. So ang gulo lang nito. Hehe.

Padayon. Kalamansi Relay. Pabilisan lang each team na dapat hindi mahulog ang kalamansi habang naglalakad. d/t technical problems, (hahaha) talo kami dito.

Exchange gifts followed. Nasa video lahat. Hehe. 

I received a book and a white belt from sister which is hindi ko pa nasimulang basahin pero siya eh natapos niya na. Hehe. And I gifted my manita a souvenir orange tumblr I bought from Tacloban. Hehe.

Christmas Party 2011: Hawaiian Style

Even though I was invited, my plan is not to go since nakapunta na ako last year. Instead, I volunteered to make garlands and bracelet/anklet thingy for 30 people. Glad I was able to finish it in time, with a little help from sis. 

My mother forced me to go with her para may kasama siya pauwi kasi daw sure na yun na marami siyang dala and true enough! -_-

Dinner, Christmas caroling contest and games followed. Everyone goes home with a gift on hand. I received a set of bowls and mom gets a Gas stove. Hihi.

Day 5/5: Uwian na! :)

December 10, 2011

Jollibee breakfast at 8am. Loading of cargo in the morning. Strolling lang sa Tacloban tz bumili ng pasalubong na Moron. Hehe.

Buffet lunch at Stephanie's fronting Robinsons Tacloban. Mura lang pero masarap. Hehe. After ng lunch, strolling lang sa Robinsons. Bumili na lang ako ng gift for our exchange gift magpinsan. Hehe.

Before pumunta sa airport, daan muna kami sa MacArthur Landing. Hehe. 

Coffee frap at Mactan Airport. Yes! No delayed flights.. 

Boarding for Davao :D And luckily, nakasabay ko na ang classmate ng kapatid ko na nurse na din turned into flight crew at Cebu Pac. She gave me chips, palabok at iced tea. Haha. Nakakahiya.

Touchdown at Davao around 7pm. Dinner at Penongs. Then off to Nursing Christmas Party at Juna, Matina.

For the meantime, ito lang pictures ko. Hihi.

Time for a Christmas vacay ♥

Day 4/5: Surgery Day 2

December 9, 2011

Jollibee breakfast at 7:30am. Then punta na agad sa OR. 

4 cleft surgeries done in the morning.

Lunch-out at Pier Tres, Leyte Park. Seafoods ulit. Hahaha.

Ganda ng view. Still a gloomy weather -_-

2 palate surgeries in the afternoon which lasted an hour each surgery. Evicted na ako sa PACU. Wahaha.

Yehey! All done. 9 Cheiloplasty and 2 Palatoplasty.

Dinner at Sunzibar. Steak house with Mexican touch.

Best tasting Tacos Salad. Loved it soo much <3 Raspberry Iced Tea, ang sarap lang nakaubos kami ng dalawang baso. Hihihi~

Ang daming sinerve, parang nag-food tasting kami. Haha. Ang maremember ko lang na exact name ay Rum Beef at Diablo. Unique ang pagka-serve nila, promise. Kaso wala ng pictures kasi kain na lang kami ng kain. Haha. Masarap din yung may corn something. Wahaha. Kung pupunta kayo ng Tacloban, be sure to visit here. Hehe.

Then night out (? marunong pala ako neto? haha) something. Dinala kami ng may-ari ng Sunzibar dun sa kanilang bar din sa Leyte Park. Pero di ako uminom ng Mojitos, masarap daw. Wahaha. Instead, bumili kami ng icecream sa Mercury. Haha. 

Since antok na, umuwi na kami sa hospital. Yung ibang doctors nagpaiwan. Hehe.

Day 3/5: Surgery Day 1

December 8, 2011

Start na ng cleft surgeries. Jollibee breakfast.

5 patients were operated this day.

I was originally assigned at PACU. Kung wala ng patients dumadalaw lang sa OR. Hehehe. With RN HEALS, PACU Nurses, OR Super and Doctors from the hospital.

OR done. Dined at Ocho for the third time. 

Grilled Pork, Pinoy style with a touch of sweetness kasi. Hehe.

Tinawag akong shrimp killer kasi halos makaubos ako ng isang platter nito. Sweet and Spicy Shrimp. Haha. Gawa-gawa na lang ng pangalan. 

Ang dumi kong kumain. #chos Haha. Parang hindi babae.

Day 2/5: Screening All Day

December 7, 2011

Gloomy breakfast. Maulan sa Tacloban that time.

Screening with cleft patients then lunch-out at Cindy's. Then McFlurry dessert at McDonalds <3

Continue ang screening the whole day.

Dinner at Ocho again, with same menu. Haha.

We stayed at PhilHealth Ward, EVRMC for the next 3 nights. Hassle-free :)

Day 1/5: Tacloban, here we come!!!

December 6, 2011

At Davao International Airport boarding for Cebu. My 5th time in Cebu this year, not counted ang sa airport lang nag-stay. Haha. 

On board...

At Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority. Ganda ng Christmas tree.

Lunch at Chowking Gaisano Mall, Mactan since dun ang pinakamalapit sa airport. Tambay lang muna dun. Then by 2:30pm gora na sa airport. 

Boarding for Tacloban. Delayed flight -_-

Finally Tacloban (capital city of Leyte). Ayeee :) Twice ko na dito =) Pumunta muna sa EVRMC (Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center) which is just beside Leyte Provincial Capitol, one of the tourist spot in Tac. Wala akong picture dun. Haha.

Dinner at Ocho Seafoods and Grill. Walking distance lang sa hospital. Jusme! Ang sarap dito. Haha. 

Introducing, Porbida (not sure sa spelling). Sabi nila kangkong bits daw ito. Spicy siya pero I don't care, ginawa ko siyang sabaw sa kanin. Haha. Sarap-sarap kasi ♥

Rummage Sale: The Pre-Christmas Edition 2011

December 3-4, 2011

2 Day Rummage Sale! by Cousins Dept. Location: at our House

Initiated by my eldest cousin in preparation for our Christmas party. I've done this before but that was a mini-Garage Sale. All my cousins and titas participated coz they've got no choice, each member must contribute pre-loved clothes. We distributed fliers 2 days prior the Rummage Sale. It was a short noticed but we never thought na ganun kadami ang pumunta at bumili. Unexpected.

9am- Opening time. Nilabas ko na ang mga damit. Hindi pa naka-arrange, may customer na agad. They said na hinintay talaga nila mag-open. Haha. First customer bought pajamas. At yun na, non-stop na nagdatingan ang mga customer at non-stop ding tumawad. Hahay~ It was never easy, I tell you. Hegz kaayo...

People came unmonitored. Due to lack of manpower na magbabantay sa mga gamit, nanakawan kami. Damage: P40 Pink Mickey Mouse wallet and P10 coin purse (all mine) and a bag full of shirts (at may nasali ding item galing saken). It proved then that those kind of people, cruel people existed. We never thought. So ayun, tinawanan na lang namin magpinsan kaysa naman problemahin namin yun, malas lang sa negosyo. Hehe. Moving on...

Came lunch time. Medyo wala ng tao. Time na i-arrange na yung mga hindi nabiling gamit. Hahay. Gusto ko pa naman naka-organize lahat. And we already have a system and strategy. Oh ah~ Ahahaha. Natuto na ang mga first timers. 

Sound system. Very important pag nag-Gagarage Sale.

The Food Corner. We sell homemade cupcakes and pastillas. Introductory price: P5 and P8. Sabi pa ni ate na all around daw. Haha. 

Men's Wear. P30 and above.

Women's Wear. Clothes costs P30 and above.

All items for P20 ea. The ukay-ukay feeling. Also, pillow cases for P5 (sold out). Coin purses mostly P10.

Shoes, slippers, pants, bags and others. 

Sealer, parang mall lang. Haha. Gusto ko lage nagseseal. Haha.

Final list for items sold. 10% of our individual earnings goes to our Christmas Party on the 24th.

Kapatid ko na walang ligo. Not for sale. Ahaha~

2nd Day

Yung mga tao naghahanap pa ng bagong items. So operation halungkat na naman kung may maiibenta pa. First 2 or 3 hours, regular pa ang prices. We decided na 3pm na lang closing time kasi nakakapagod na talaga. Wahaha. Original plan was to have Bagsak Presyo one hour before closing time. Pero iniba na lang, from 12nn to 3pm Super Bagsak Presyo na. 

Clothes/shirts from P30 and above, naging P20 na. Pants? P20 pesos na rin. So everything on this table costs P20 each. Mapapantalon man. Haha. Goal din kasi namin ay mag-dispose talaga ng gamit. 

Items from my co-volunteer at Maharlika. Mahirap ibagsak presyo mga damit niya kasi ang gaganda. Hehe.

All shoes and bags, 50% off. Black shoes ng kapatid ko at sandals ni madir naging P5 na lang. Wahaha. 

Reserved item sa mga silingan. Wahaha. Aabot din ito ng 1k.

Money earned. Hayy.. Thank God for a very successful garage sale. We will be doing this again after 2-3 years I think. Hehe. Umabot ng 5k ang money and 210 items sold. May pang-Christmas party na kami :D

November 29-30, 2011

It's Holiday and we're spending it with cousins at our Tita's house. 

Went swimming in the morning and spend so much time in front of the lappy. 

After an afternoon power nap.

At night, we dyed our hair. Done it 3x. Heh~

With eldest cousin from KSA. She'll be spending Christmas here after 5 years. Hehe.

Played "123 Pass" card game, with a twist. Hehehe. It was soo awesome and fun. 12mn na kami natapos. Haha. And our obligatory photos after the sweaty and wento to physical card game. Hehe.

Slept and went swimming again in the morning. Yay!

Operation Tuli & Bunot Mission

Dental. Mga 180 patients ang nagpabunot. Haha. Ang dami tz good for 30 patients lang ang naprepare. Hehe.

HalloWeekend with Cousins :)

October 29-30, 2011

Since it's my cousins and sister semestral break, we went to my Tita's house to celebrate my mom's birthday at dun nadin kami natulog for 2 nights.

Afternoon swimming with the kiddos :))

And Anniversary Fun Run of Merco in the morning (with cousins), for the benefit of MCFI.

5k lang tinakbo namin. Hehe. Route: Rizal Park-San Pedro Ext.-Bankerohan-MTS-NCCC Mall. Turning point: Water District, Matina. My run time for 5k is 55mins. The most is 1hr&10mins. Hehe.

Kuha na ng pagkain. Inside the supot: banana, boiled egg, meat bread, and chocolate cake. Plus ice cream pop, banana cue, suman, puto taktak, arrozcaldo, and unlimited iced tea and orange juice from Tang. Hehe. Daming food noh? Haha. Ito lang ang fun run na ang daming pagkain. Hehe.

Went home agad at natulog. ZZzzZ -_-

Day 6/6: Goodbye, Marawi!

Islamic City of Marawi, The City of Streamers.

I'm grateful for this experience because of the chance to visit Marawi (with tight security) considering the threat it gives. I really appreciate the grandiosity of the place and the pretty people.

I will miss the cold nights and foggy afternoon, tho :)) Ipkadadali aken saka, Marawi! :))

Inside the van. Trying hard to capture the streamers on the streets. Hehe. May nadaanan din kaming tulay tz ang ang ganda ng river, crystal blue talaga and napakalinis. Sabi nila eh galing daw ang tubig sa Ma. Cristina Falls. 

For R&R: Del Mar Resort, Timuga, Iligan. Another lechon na naman. Haha.

Ang dami-daming pool. Hehe. Overflowing water lahat ng pool galing sa Ma. Cristina Falls ang tubig. Ito yung pool sa baba.

Umakyat na sa taas for the Olympic size pool. Dito naligo yung iba. May diving chuchu din. 16ft ang lalim ata. Haha. Hindi na ako naligo (HUHUHUHU. Sayang much talaga...) kasi limitado lang ang oras :(( Kahit mainit, sobrang lamig daw ang tubig.

Ayan. Pauwi na :)) Departure from Iligan around 11:30am something. Nakarating na sa Davao, mga 12midnight na. Yung nasa bus, 2am na sila nakarating.

Happy to serve people from different parts of Mindanao. Last Grand Mission this year :))

Day 5/6: Surprisingly, our last day in OR.

While waiting for our sundo.

Happiness ng dahil sa binigay na shawl. Haha.

No scheduled for hernia :\ Whole day po akong walang ginawa. Tambay lang sa PACU. Pumupunta kahit saan. Hehe. Tumutulong na din for loading. Hehe.

So ayun, wala naman daw pasyente, nakadecide sila na uuwi na kami bukas instead sa 21. One day advance kami uuwi. Hehe. Kinuha na ang gamit sa MSU kasi sa Gov's Palace na daw kami matutulog para maaga kaming makaalis bukas. But before that, stop over na muna sa MSU campus kahit papicture man lang. Mabilisan lang. Sayang kasi baka di na ako makabalik pa dito. Hehe. Hindi rin kami nakapasyal sa MSU kasi 11pm or 12midnight na kami umuuwi. Maganda pa naman daw sana sabi ng mga MSU students. Hehe.

So this part is a room full of gold furniture. Totoong gold po talaga. We're very fortunate kasi pinayagan kami na makapasok dito and to take pictures :)) Gold talaga lahat, even yung utensils ay made of gold. Hehe.

Unfortunately na din, yung isang camera ng kasama ko eh hindi na nag-read yung memory card niya. Dun ako maraming pictures.. :(( Haay, life talaga.
