It's come to my attention that some people do not like the way I paint Lucien's skin tone. I've had some very hurtful accusations slung at me because my depiction of him does not fit with the idea in their head. While it isn't anyone's business, I am a biracial POC myself. We come in many shades and features, and all of them are beautiful! The beauty of book characters is that we can let our imaginations fly with how we see them, and no one way is right.

I've loved all depictions of Lucien, and if you're not a fan of how I draw him that's ok too! But please, please remember that I and other creators are humans behind these screens. We are not malicious, we are genuinely sharing our love for these characters and we all have our own histories that you do not know about.

Please be kind to one another. Even if they do not share the same vision as you.

Top 3 most controversial acotar takes/opinions, now☄️

It's been a while since i was a hater, so don't mind if i do. 😇

i'll be insulting your faves. proceed with caution.

I don't ship Mor x Emerie or Gwyn x Azriel because it frustrates me that just when Nesta found her own family, they turn around and marry back into Feyre's. I know it'll probably still happen, and I don't fault Gwyn and Emerie, but The IC need to get out and meet new people instead of just trying to sleep with their "sisters" and their sisters' hot friends.

Azriel saying he "doesn't need to resort to poetry" is honestly actually a huge red flag to me. How are you gonna charm the ladies, Az? Your dashing people skills? Romantic confessions of your feelings? We know you're great at those. To me this just says he thinks he can rely on good looks and an impressive "wingspan" without putting in any real emotional effort.

I’ve seen people talk about Azriel risking his life to save Elain from Hybern's camp and how he didn't just do it because it's his job(it is) or bc he has a hero complex(he does). But saving her for those reasons is so completely in character for him. Not to mention, he was the only person who could have entered that camp with Feyre. No one else can cosplay as a shadow Also I don’t disagree that he did it bc he wanted Elain. I think that was part of it. Which to me is kinda gross. It felt like using a life threatening situation to get closer to her so down the road he can be like “wasn’t it so cute when I saved your life when your mate was nowhere to be seen because he was on a dangerous journey to help with the war effort but WHATEVER”

Sunlight woke Elain up.  Hot and shimmering sunlight.  It caressed her naked skin, warming her down to the bone.  

She shifted under the sheets and sighed, rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes.  It was still the early hours of the morning.  The window curtains, pearlescent and delicate, did nothing to block out the light; their entire room was cast in sparkling gold.  It was a beautiful sight, but nothing could beat the view of the male who dozed next to her.

The Prince of Day laid on his back next to her, framing her naked body with his.  The sun set a glow onto his warm brown skin, bringing out the rippling muscles of his bare chest, the only bit of his skin that showed besides a bare leg that stuck out from the bottom of the bedsheets.  The pale scars that decorated his pecs rippled with each breath.  His hair draped across the pillow, glowing like fire in the melted rubies. 

Lucien.  Her love and soul.  Her mate.  That word thrummed between them, deep and familiar and aching.

Elain traced a hand over the hills and divots of his naked body, feeling the rippling muscles underneath.  Mine.  I am yours, you are mine.  She repeated it over and over in her head, the words like sweet honey.

Lucien seemed to feel her touch or hear her unspoken words; he stirred in his sleep, his lips slightly parting as if offering a kiss to her in his dreams.  She smiled, sliding her hand up his chest to feel the steady rising of his chest, and the heart that matched the rhythm of her own.  The bond thrummed a deep, sensual note as if she had plucked a cello’s lowest string, and his arousal rose as a breath.  Ever since they officially accepted the bond, that thread between them sang a delicate chorus day and night.  

But he slept on.

Usually Lucien woke up before her.  But given his libidinous activities from last night…not even the bright sunlight could wake him, or the gentle, caressing hands of his mate.

Awww that's a huge compliment! Thank you so much for the love. I loved every minute of writing Cat!Elain in Animal Instincts. It was the fastest and most fun I've written in a long time. It's very possible I may dabble in some bonus scenes in the future. But I do have more unhinged ideas coming down the pipeline. Some will feature more animal transformations. Some will just be more crackfic ideas. All will be Elucien.

In the meantime, you can enjoy Cat!Lucien with @jadedbug who is creating a comic called Feline Attraction. It's going to be amazing.

Cat's out of the bag!

I've been busy at work planning a very special fan-comic inspired by conversations with the amazing @crazy-ache and of course her fic Animal Instincts, featuring cat!Elain.

Fatal Feline Attraction is a fan-comic featuring the charming (mis)adventures of one Lucien Vanserra, inexplicably transformed into a cat against his will by a terrible curse, and the lovely Elain Archeron, the unexpecting-but delighted-recipient of a surprise undeniably feline in nature.

Will Elain piece together the clues and discover the true identity of this mysterious tomcat that has found his way into her life? Will Lucien find a way to break the curse that has trapped him in the form of a cat and at the mercy of his mate (and will he survive the mortification of the ordeal)?

Stay tuned for more details, sneak-peaks, and for the first chapter to debut in Mid-October. 🤭

Snippet: “It’s so small,” Eris complained, but Alexius hugged him from behind and rested his head upon his shoulder.

“We can hold each other close,” he smiled as he kissed Eris’ cheek. Eris had to admit he liked the sound of that. “Please. It was so fun back at the other place.”

Eris scoffed, though he could feel his defenses melting quickly. “Can we even fit?”

It turned out they both could fit, technically, with Alexius sitting with his back against the end and Eris sitting between his legs. Their legs were too long to stretch all the way to the end, so they sat with their knees up. Alexius giggled, pulling Eris flush against his chest as he peppered kisses on his neck and freckled shoulders. Eris couldn’t help smiling too.

“At least there aren’t any of your infernal bubbles,” he joked. This room had none of the bells and whistles that the other had. The best they could do was Eris heating the water to a nice lounging temperature.

“You’re going to come around to the bubbles,” Alexius grinned behind him. “Now scoot forward a little.”

“Why?”

“I’m going to wash you.”

Eris looked back at him over his shoulder with a suspicious raise of his brow. Alexius had already grabbed the soap, so he shrugged his shoulders and did as he was told.

Happy Elain Day!!

To this wonderful and interesting Archeron sister! Elain who has been in darkness, chasing away shadows and gloom with her light. Like her sisters, she is resisting the tug on the bond, but once she accepts it, accepts her other half, we will see her glowing with effervescence.

I can't wait to see her strength bloom and her full powers realized, and to know that her mating bond is just as much a part of her soul as it is her mates. I can't wait for her love story with Lucien!!
