M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

If you’re able to completely lower his walls, he will admit that he does, in a way. He doesn’t care about the whole celebration, having to get dressed and preparing so many things. Scaramouche just wants to officially promise himself to you, and for you to promise yourself to him.

Therefore, he most likely won’t propose like usual. For him, it’s enough with visiting a beautiful place, or maybe a meaningful one, and promising to love each other for as long as you’re alive. He only wishes for you to stay, to not betray him, so he doesn’t see the need for a wedding, he’d rather stay with you, and just you.

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

Scaramouche doesn’t like PDA, the most he’ll do is hold your hand or have an arm around your waist, and that’s only if it’s dangerous or if he’s jealous. It’s not that he doesn’t love you, but with his reputation he’d rather make it seem that way for others, so he doesn’t talk about you either.

He’d rather keep everything in private, in a place where he can relax with you in his arms, or him in yours. He would never let anyone else see him in such a vulnerable state, his soft moments are for you and you only.

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

He’s surprisingly good at noticing which topics make you upset. While he used that to insult his enemies and make them lose focus, he uses it to make sure he doesn’t hurt you with his words if he can avoid it.

Scaramouche also stops everyone who’s about to talk about something that you don’t like. He won’t let anyone upset you, much less in his presence. It’s another way to protect you, not only from physical harm, but from verbal and mental one too. It’s subtle, but you’ll eventually find out why he changes topics so suddenly sometimes.

W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

Scaramouche really likes when you pat his head. He’ll never, ever admit it to you, but it makes him feel warm. If you pay enough attention, you’ll notice how he leans in when he sees you move your hand closer to his head, knowing your intentions, even if he complains.

When he finally breaks and lets himself relax with his head on your lap, please stroke his hair. The feeling of your hands gently, oh so gently, caressing his hair makes him forget hurtful memories. Your warmth, your love, slowly help him heal the cracks in his chest, and he’s able to rest without nightmares or tears.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

He does! But only in private, he feels uncomfortable being affectionate in public, even paranoid sometimes. He has many enemies, and a reputation to uphold, so it’d be better not to hug or kiss him when there are others around.

When you’re alone, he completely changes. Scaramouche likes to have a hand on you, be it holding your hand or having his hand on your thigh, giving soft squeezes when he wants you to kiss him. Cuddling with you makes him feel warm and calm, and he can’t help but feel protected when you hold him in your arms.

Tighnari would like it, as long as it’s nothing grand. He’d prefer a comfortable, private wedding with close friends and family, with simple decorations and a nice scenery. A nice little wedding where you’ll promise to love each other, surrounded by nature and people important to you, that’s more than enough for him.

If you’re with him, you’ll most likely have some knowledge about plant symbolism. He’ll give you a bouquet of peonies, waiting for you to realize the meaning behind them. When you look back at him, he’ll take your hand, asking if you’d let him stay by your side for as long as possible.

He isn’t afraid to give you a sweet peck or hug in public, you’re his partner and he wants to do it, the only thing that would stop him would be if it makes you uncomfortable. Tighnari doesn’t brag, but he unconsciously ends up mentioning you pretty often, especially if he’s talking about a topic you enjoy or reminds him of you.

But, he does prefer to keep most affection for when you’re alone. Deeper kisses, more intimate touches, as well as letting you sit on his lap are things he prefers to avoid in public. He doesn’t enjoy being stared at for loving his partner, so he just has to do it in private.

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

He’s really good at figuring out if you need or want something! Have you been craving a certain snack lately? He somehow knows, if it’s something he’s seen you eating before, and already got it for you.

And this includes situations when you’re injured. It’s completely impossible for you to hide the pain, even if it’s a scratch, from your lover. It’s better to give up rather than continue acting like you aren’t hurt, that’ll only end up in a pretty long lecture from the forest ranger.

W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

Tighnari enjoys to have lunch with you. He’ll look for a tree with stable branches and help you up, so you can sit side by side and watch the beautiful scenery as you eat. If it’s a specially nice day, he might end up falling asleep with his head on your shoulder.

And he likes to cook for you! From snacks to full meals, if he has the time he likes to leave something tasty for you. It makes him really happy to see you enjoy the food he prepared. If you compliment his cooking, he’ll thank you with a calm expression, but you can see the way his tail wags.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Yes, he can be very affectionate! As mentioned before, he prefers to keep most touches for private, but even in public he likes to hold your hand and peck your lips. Cuddling, however, is usually kept for when you’re alone.

Tighnari likes when you sit on his lap while he’s working, even more if you softly pet his ears. At night, the two of you spend a good amount of time kissing each other good night. A single kiss isn’t enough, especially if he has to go before you wake up.

| Rainy Nights ft. ear scritches |

where Tighnari plays hard to get when it comes to petting his ears until one rainy night breaks his resolve. Or, Tighnari FINALLY allows you to pet his ears after a year of pining for eachother.

His ears were something of a mystery.

They were fluffy, long and almost had a mind of their own. They conveyed Tighnari’s feelings a little too well, with twitches whenever something piqued his curiosity to perking up tall if something spooked him. You found it quite endearing, especially when they almost seemed to move towards your fingers when you tried to touch the fluffiness of them. Although he denied your hands the need to touch, Tighnari secretly craved for your fingers to brush over his ears “accidentally” one day. He wouldn’t just.. allow you to pet them, no, he had to play hard to get. A tease. He’d move his ears in your line of sight on purpose sometimes, just to see if you’d get distracted ( and 9 times out of 10, it worked ).

Today was no different from any other; you spent your time when not patrolling the forest with the other rangers hanging around Collei. She was such a sweet girl and someone you quickly found to be your closest friend. She was smiling when you met her outside of her little home, the rays of sun catching in her hair and making it seem almost an even lighter green than it was. “Are you ready for today?” She said happily, her hands tugging on your shoulder as your face crumpled in confusion. Today? What was going on? Collei caught your expression and gasped rather loudly. “Did Master not tell you?” Tighnari had a tendency to get caught in his work and would forget to pass on messages at times, today being no exception to that. “We’re going out closer to the contaminated zone! Well, as close as my body will allow..” Collei was a strong girl, dealing with her illness and all. “Seems he’s failed to pass on yet another message to me!” You teased, pouting dramatically.

“Quiet, you; you found out eventually, didn’t you?” His face appeared in the corner of your eyes, ears flopping slightly to one side as his head was tilted slightly. Your hands shot outwards, pressing against Tighnari and shoving him just slightly as Collei giggled at the sight of her master and best friend. “Well, yeah, but—“ “So! Today is a day where caution MUST be exercised!” Tighnari marched forward, leaving both you and Collei behind and scrambling slightly to catch up to him.

After walking for a few hours, the group made it to the edge of the contaminated zone. Collei was slightly winded, and since it was getting rather dark out, Tighnari decided that they should stay in the forest for a night before continuing onwards. “Master, are you sure you wanna take the first watch?” Collei questioned from where she sat next to the tent and supplies Tighnari seemed to produce out fo the nowhere. He looked towards your friend, eyes scanning over her features before answering her. “Yes, Collei. You need to rest; we did walk for a good portion of our trip today.” You agreed with him, moving to sit next to her, arm moving around her shoulder as to support your best friend. “Your rest is most important out of us three. Don’t you wanna be able to explore even more tomorrow if you rest now?” Collei wanted to prove to not only them but to herself that she was much stronger than her illness made her seem. She reluctantly agreed, you moving to stand and help her up into the tent. “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything hurt us tonight, promise” Tighnari nodded as Collei peered towards her master, a weak smile over her lips. “I believe you, Master. Have a good night..” She spoke quietly before shifting into the tent with your help.

After a bit of time helping Collei become more comfortable, you slid out of the tent and your eyes landed on the fox’s back. It was nice out, the sky was clear with stars glittering beautifully against the dark of nightfall. Tighnari looked.. handsome in this moment and you couldn’t stop the flush of your cheeks when he turned slightly to meet your gaze. His ears, oh, his ever teasing ears twitched slightly at the noise of your shoes crunching on the gravel beneath them and his face didn’t change it’s expression of confusion when you sat next to him. “Should you be sleeping too? Night watching only takes one person, yknow.” You leaned back against your hands, legs stretched outwards as Tighnari sat more proper and with his legs crossed. “I’m not tired; plus you seemed lonely out here.” You said, face pointed towards the bits of the sky poking through the trees. Looking at you in this light made Tighnari’s heart pick up in speed. Why? He didn’t understand his body sometimes when you were around; the top of his tail would sway slightly if he caught a glimpse of you coming back from patrols, his ear would twitch slightly at the sound of your voice and his heart wouldn’t stop beating fast if you were close.. just like now. Why must his body react this way? It’s not like he saw you in any different light other than a forest ranger.. right?

“Well, you should rest with Collei; you know how rough the contaminated zone can be.” He was looking in the opposite direction when you looked from the sky to where he sat next to you. You both were close enough to feel his clothing against your leg and the scent of flora would hit your nose as the wind would blow gently. Tighnari wasn’t looking at you, seemingly occupied with something to the left of you both and now would be the perfect time to just.. reach forward and pet his ears.

“You also know that I find it rather hard to sleep in the forest if not in the comfort of Gandharva Ville.” You gave a lame excuse to just be in his presence and you hoped Tighnari didn’t catch it. While he wouldn’t admit that he caught on to the poor acting attempt, he played along with you anyways. “Hmm.. so, you’d rather sit out and stay awake than sleep to make time pass by quicker?” He said while turning his head towards you, his eyes meeting yours as he spoke. Gah, why does he have to look at me like this? Why can’t I control my feelings when he looks at me this way? Your mind was screaming these sentences as you swallowed hard. “I’m just teasing you, relax.” He smiled, then and you couldn’t resist looking away from him, face ablaze with embarrassment.

Suddenly, you felt Tighnari shift slightly, his clothing no longer against your leg but now you felt a gentle presence against your head. “Hey, I was just kidding; look at me.” You turned your head slightly to find Tighnari had moved, sitting directly in front of you now that your legs shifted upwards so you could hold them. His hand was placed on your head, his gentle touch soothing. He took your posture as in he had somehow offended you, when in reality, Tighnari made you nervous. “How about I make it up to you, hm?” His voice was hushed, almost as if he didn’t wanna wake the forest surrounded your little camp. “Make it up to me?” You questioned and he nodded. His ears bounced slightly as he moved forward, even closer to where you sat.

You couldn’t help your cheeks from glowing a bright red at the closeness between the two of you. You’d never really and truly looked at Tighnari this close before and my, oh my, he was a sight for sore eyes. His lashes were slightly longer than average, his eye color a beautiful mix of greens and yellows and his skin was free of blemishes. He was just in awe of you, and the closeness was also affecting him. A light dusting could be seen, if you weren’t close up and caught in his gaze. “I’ll allow you to touch my ears..” He murmured, his ears twitching just slightly as your head moved back slightly to really scan his face. Was he serious? “H-Huh? But, Tigh-“

He takes this time to move his hand from the top of your head, gently taking your wrist and moving your own hand on top of his head. Your hand is rested between both ears, the sides of your hand brushing against the fluffy fur bunched up at the base. No words were shared in this moment; just your eyes moving from his features to gaze upwards to his ears, while your hand slowly moved towards the right one. Your touch was soft, almost afraid of hurting or tickling him as your fingertips slid over the fur and upwards to the tip of his long ears. You took your time admiring them, and Tighnari couldn’t handle the look your eyes held as you looked back down towards him.

They were full of a feeling both of you felt strongly. Love.

While spending a night in the forest, with your best friend sleeping soundly in the tent and with your mentor in front of you, Tighnari took the initiative to lean forward. You could feel his breath fanning over your face as your hand moved to the left ear. It was like he was silently asking for permission for something you both wanted. As your hand moved to lightly scratch the fur at the bottom of the ear, you nodded and he moved in all the way to press his lips to yours. It was like your heart soared when you kissed and now both hands were holding his ears, almost holding him captive. But, Tighnari wouldn’t dare move from his spot in front of you. His tail was wagging violently, swaying side to side as the kiss continued.

A couple more seconds passed before Tighnari was the first to pull away from you. Your hands stilled their movement, now they rested against his shoulders so you could really process what had just happened. The guy you'd be crushing on for so long, who just so happened to be your mentor.. kissed you? And you kissed back? It almost felt like a dream, honestly. "Wow." You blurted out before you were able to stop yourself and Tighnari laughed at this. He found your astonishment endearing and his hand moved to cup the side of your face softly. His thumb caressed your cheekbone before he spoke once more. "I like you. Alot, actually, and sometimes I can't help when my tail wags or my ears twitch when I hear your voice and my body just has a mind of it's own and-" Tighnari was nervous rambling and you smiled at this, cheeks a bright red at his confession.

" I like you too. Alot." You said you stop his rambling and it worked; his mouth stopped moving as his ear twitched at your words. His feelings were reciprocated and this had his tail wagging instantly. "Really?" Tighnari was hopeful; hopeful that you liked him just as much as he liked you, hopeful that he could kiss you again, hopeful for the future these statements hold. You nodded, smile plastered on your pink face. "Yes, Tighnari. I like you too. So much, honestly." Your voice shook slightly out of nerves; you'd never confessed to anyone like this before. While these confessions were happening, the atmosphere around them was changing. There was a chill to the air now and the stars that were twinkling not long ago were now gone and replaced with rain clouds.

Tighnari sensed this when a raindrop fell onto his head, ears twitching as he looked towards the sky. "Rain." Was all he said before urging you to stand with him. " Let's go underneath here, besides the tent." His hand was on the small of your back as he led you to the tree who's leaves could almost be used as an umbrella itself. The rain picked up slightly, a steady stream falling now as they narrowly missed being drenched. You looked towards Tighnari, arms snaking slowly around his waist to pull him into a hug. He seemed to want this as well, arms already moving around you in sync with yours around him. You both felt the warmth you had for eachother and this only left hope for tomorrow morning.

"Tighnari?"

"Yes?"

"Can I pet your ears again?"

It wasn’t a normal occurrence for Xiao to be at Third-Round Knockout- or at any public establishment. But when it was Zhongli who graciously extended the invitation for some tea, how could Xiao decline?

“So how are you and Y/n,” Zhongli asks, cutting straight to the point. He reaches for the teapot, pouring a cup of tea for his companion. Xiao graciously accepts the cup, though he leaves it untouched.

Character: Tighnari x reader

warnings: none

Tighnari is used to people ignoring his ears and tail, as people don't want to upset him but you're very different. The first moment you saw him, you asked if you could pet his ears.

he quite obviously said "No," but you were persistent. After awhile, when you became friends, he allowed it.

The moment you two got together, you where always petting him, of course he didn't mind when it was beneficial for the both of you, and didn't get in the way of anything.

He actually really likes when you pet his ears, despite what he makes you think.

Sometimes he finds your obsession with his ears and tail a bit annoying, but when having quality time together, he doesn't mind at all.

a/n: hello sweet anon! sorry if I took long, but I was really fighting my writer block lol, and I wanted it to be a bit longer but somehow that's all I could come up with.. anyways I hope you enjoy reading <3 and love ya too!

"...tighnari?"

he was sick, literally, and this was unusual since he doesn't really get sick easily.

tighnari leaned into you, hugging you from behind resting his head on your shoulder, his tail wrapping around you.

you turned around to look at him, his hair was in a messy little ponytail that you did for him, wearing only his tank top and a pair of comfortable shorts, his face was flushed.

"tighnari, honey, I told you to rest while I make you some soup, why are you up?" you sighed while touching his face and feeling his fever "let's get you back to bed.." you took his hand and guided him to his bed, letting his body rest on the soft mattress, you brushed his stray hair away.

"your fever's getting a little bit better, but you still need to rest, so don't get up yet, okay?"

he looked at you, his ears slightly twitching, and his face was kinda...pouty? he was so cute, you couldn't help but smile at him, while he looked up to you like a lost puppy

"...cuddle with me?"

you looked at him dumbfounded, tighnari wasn't the type to be this clingy, maybe because he was sick? but you don't know, you were always the clingy one in your relationship, I'm so gonna tease him about this when he gets better, you thought

you were so down to cuddle with him and pamper him with kisses, but you decided to play along and see he's reaction

"but nari, you're sick, what if I ended up catching your cold?" you said with a small smile, slowly caressing his face

he leaned into your touch, purring, he purred, you were about to squeal but you maintained yourself,

he closed his eyes, "I'll take care of you," sloppily kissing your hand that was close to his lips "but please? hold me?," he said in a soft tone.

you hummed; amused by his behavior, its not that you don't like it..of course you do, so you slipped inside the covers, laying down so close beside him and gently wrapping your arms around his body, embracing him.

you slipped your hand inside his top rubbing his back while the other rested on his head, gently patting his head and rubbing his ears soothingly, his body was burning up and your cold hands somehow helped him feel better.

you kissed his forehead, whispering a "do you feel better now?",

"mm," humming as a response, he felt himself relax between your arms, his ears drooping while he rested on your chest, "..kiss me?"

you chuckled, "aren't you so spoiled today, nari?", you didn't wait for his reply though, as you gave in and gently kissed his lips.

he kissed you back while he wrapped his arms around your waist, you broke the kiss and looked into his eyes,

"y/n..I, love you"

"I know, I love you too, I love you so much" you smiled as you heard him purring again.

let's say, it was a long, long night with your clingy fox boy, and you ended up being sick the very next morning..

✧･ﾟ: * tighnari met you while you were lost in the forest, while he was tired, you were energetic. Fortunately for him, unlike the other adventures, you did know the basic knowledge. Until you finally led him a secret, you wanted to be a forest ranger (?). He was more than happy to invite you in.

Ever since then, you both shared your days and not only did each of your trusts in each other grew, but it was as clear as day that you both were in love. So, when you decided to get married, you both were known as "Collei's unofficial parents" or "The "it" couple." You both were just meant to be for each other and it warmed their hearts to bits, especially Collei's.

Seeing her master warm up to someone was truly a sight to see. He gave you pecks here and there before you went to patrol, he would insist on taking care of your wounds personally so that he could warn you. For example, you got into an.. accident. Once Tighnari saw your wound, his ears immediately made a little wiggle.

"(Name)! What happened..." he spoke with concern as you laughed nervously. "I'm so sorry, dear." He sighed, "Sir, shall we-" He immediately shook his head, "I'll do it. You both take her place." He turned to you, "I told you to be careful! This is why I don't trust you with dangerous patrols." You hummed, "But, your fixing it, aren't you? I wouldn't ask for anything more." You smiled, giving him a little pat in his head once he crouched down, fixing your injured leg.

Collei immediately came in with worry, "Miss (name)! Are you alright? Should I get more bandages?" You shook your head, reassuring her, "Come, sit with me, Collei. Don't worry, my husband here, Tighnari, will fix it. Calm down. Breathe in and out..." she did as told, before resting her head on your shoulder. "Collei, it's done...?" Tighnari spoke, looking up to see the young woman already asleep. "Collei-"

"Shh! She's asleep, can't you see?!" You whispered but he rolled his eyes, "She has something to do today!" You frowned, "Ugh.." giving in, he finally sat beside you, resting his head on your other shoulder, "You owe me." You giggled, "Of course.. of course.."

People would immediately think you were Collei's mother if it weren't for Tighnari always interrupting. Despite those, you both would wait for each other once both of you were done with each of your works. Of course, everyone would see that both of you wait for each other before heading to your room. Some would also see the both of you sending sticky notes and snickering at the other's handwriting.

Though, it may sound adorable, you both had your ups and downs. You almost died to some withering problem, and he panicked so badly. He wasn't going to lose you, not now. He called in every single medical team there ever was to aid you and fortunately, you survived. He didn't have the energy to waste any minute, so he immediately hugged you. Tired, you patted him, placing light kisses on his cheeks were his tears dried up. "There, there." You cooed as he scoffed, sniffling, "Whatever.."

All of this helped you know him better, you truly were his and he will always be yours.
